LOVE NARA
2.27. SHOVEL FEELING

"Good day, Doctor Ardi. How are you?"

Ardi was stunned looking at one of the doctors who greeted him kindly and full of smiles.

"Alya ...." In the heart he called a name.

A female doctor of her age who greeted earlier was none other than Alya.

Ardi was surprised and did not expect to see the woman again here. At once and as he remembered, there was no name Alya listed in the list of participants or speakers in the seminar he was present at this time.

"Good day, Al .., sorry, Doctor Alya. I'm good news."

Unlike the others, Ardi did not extend his hand because the hijab-wearing woman first cupped her palms in front of her chest, in lieu of the handshake between them.

The awkward atmosphere between them was created. But immediately Alya diverted it by opening small talk with the other doctors who were still gathered in front of the seminar room.

Ardi did the same thing, talking to several other doctors, before they all went into the seminar room and started attending the scheduled event.

Inside, without them expecting it, Ardi and Alya get a seat next to each other. Still overwhelmed with awkwardness, they sat together among the hundreds of other doctors who filled the room.

Occasionally staring at each other unintentionally, the two began to throw smiles at each other despite the nervousness of their own.

The atmosphere was still boisterous as the new event was about to start in a moment.

"I don't see your name on the show list, Al." Finally, Ardi opened a pleasant conversation with his ex-lover.

"Yes, Di. I replaced my suddenly sick hospital chief so he couldn't attend this seminar."

Alya answered calmly though her heart was pounding erratically because it would sit close to him for a long time with the man she still loved.

"So you'll also give me the material?" And Alya who was asked immediately nodded and smiled.

Gradually their attitudes began to melt and look more familiar to each other. Both Ardi and Alya tell each other about the material they will convey in the event that has brought them back together.

"Why, although this was unexpected at all, but I feel so happy to see you again, Al."

Until the moment the event opened and the presenter began delivering public lectures to the young doctors who were the participants of the seminar, Alya became the first speaker to take to the stage to carry out his duties.

From his place, Ardi watched the graceful doctor with a hue of admiration on his face, which could no longer be hidden.

He freely kept nailing his gaze towards the stage where Alya delivered the material with great professionalism and confidence.

"From the beginning you never change. Always confident in your intelligence. It's worth it to be a good, accomplished doctor."

Every now and then the gazes of their eyes met, bringing out a small tremor in Ardi's heart that made him subconsciously smile at the graceful woman who was the center of his attention at this moment.

On the stage, Alya tried to dampen the nervousness when she saw Ardi throwing a smile at her. Without being able to prevent it, he simply returned the smile despite a glance and then turned his gaze in the other direction.

His heart also felt a beautiful debate that had been very long never again present coloring his life gloomy, without anyone knowing it.

"Hold, Al. Control yourself. Do not get carried away with the feelings of the past. You're just friends now, never more than that for good!"

Half an hour passed as if slowly, until Ardi was satisfied to see the woman he had loved was on stage.

"My excitement hasn't changed in the past, Al. And now you shine even more with the profession that has been your dream since childhood. I'm proud to see it."

After the first material presented by Alya, the event was paused with a short afternoon break.

After taking coffee and cake for a stomach booster, Ardi saw Alya sitting alone at a table in the corner of the break room.

The woman was seriously staring at the screen of work in front of her, no matter what was the center of attention in there.

"May I sit here?" tanya Ardi was still in a standing position beside Alya who was immediately shocked when she saw the man was already close to her.

It was not that she did not want to talk much with Ardi, but her little heart kept reminding her to keep her distance from the man that the other woman had.

"Take care, Al. Remember, you are also a woman. Do not let you hurt another woman's heart just for the sake of past feelings that you should have forgotten and buried deep long ago!"

Ardi sat in front of Alya, deliberately keeping a distance so as not to cause slander for those who might see their togetherness.

The man continued to be silent while sipping hot coffee in his hand, then continued by biting and enjoying the cake he had taken.

Suddenly his phone rang with a special tone of call from Bunga.

Yes, Honey?" Ardi received the call and started greeting his wife.

Alya smiled at Ardi's affectionate greeting to his wife. He kept trying to focus with the work screen before him.

"I'll be home soon after giving the public lecture tomorrow morning. Get plenty of rest but don't forget to keep practicing for your smooth delivery."

Alya quietly listened to the speech after speech delivered by Ardi to the wife who was opposite his phone line.

"alright. Take care of yourself and our future daughter. I love you guys."

The graceful woman in front of Ardi smiled bitterly at Ardi's expression of love for his wife.

There was a pain at the end of his heart, but he was fully aware of his current position, so he kept his distance from the man.

Alya kept trying to shake off her feelings and chose to continue her work without any desire to open up a conversation with her past man.

In her room, Bunga put down the cell phone she had just used to contact her husband.

This afternoon he felt his body start to get uncomfortable and some false contractions had already started coming attacking.

Flowers lay her growing body all over. He tried to calm his feelings and set his breath as best he could to overcome the tightness in his chest.

As soon as her pregnancy entered the age of nine months, her legs became more swollen which felt heavy to step on, as a result of holding her large body constantly.

After listening to her husband's voice, her heart began to calm down and could smile while teasing

the entire surface of his stomach.

The woman continued to regulate her breath as best she could to alleviate the pain as her future child continued to make quick movements and kicked her uterine wall even harder.
