Ardi smiled watching the beautiful scenery before him. Alya painstakingly fed the voracious Aura enjoying the food prepared by the graceful lady.
To catch time, Ardi did plan to feed Aura after arriving at badara while waiting for the time of departure. Unexpectedly, now it is Alya who feeds her little daughter with affection.
"Thank you, Al. He's so good to eat with you." Ardi opened his voice without taking his eyes off his two favorites. A sip of hot coffee ordered from the cafe where they were sitting together at the moment, biding its time to get into the waiting room.
"Hopefully he's not fussy on the plane later. Like when he left here first, he was quite carefree even though he woke up all the way."
Ardi continued to enjoy the calming scenery that would soon turn into a farewell. Alya still continues to feed her daughter with a sincere smile on her father's face which increasingly shows his motherly side every time she is with Aura.
"I'll try to put her to bed after this. Isn't it usual after bathing and eating breakfast that he falls asleep more often? May he be calm and not trouble you."
The views of the two met again, just a distance away from the table that limited their sitting. That gentle gaze reminded Ardi a moment ago, as they stood face to face and locked onto each other with deep and tasteful gazes.
It was still ringing in his sense of hearing, what Alya had said to him.
"I don't know when I'll be back here, Al. It would be very difficult to leave Aura alone there, while it would also be impossible to take her away just for a short trip that would just exhaust her."
Ardi imagined the distance that would stretch between them after this. Alya's condition and her past, make the man did not have the heart to let the woman herself as before.
"Don't worry about me. Didn't you say that everything would be okay? And so I believed that I would be fine after this."
May the man no longer bother you, after the punishment he has for his actions. But what about the bone doctor? Will after my departure he still try to get close to you again, Al?
Ardi rubbed his face rough as the shadows of Riko and Rendy interrupted his thoughts simultaneously, as he was about to leave Alya.
Ardi saw Aura starting to spoil on Alya's shoulder after finishing her meal and playing for a while with the hijab-wearing woman. It seemed like her little daughter was getting tired and sleepy, according to Alya's estimation.
Patiently and carefully, Alya changed Aura's position on her lap. He tried to secure Aura to fall asleep faster without whining first.
Ardi could only watch the two from across the table, with a gaze full of admiration for the woman of his first love.
"Al, what about Doctor Rendy? Will he come near you again after I'm gone?" Finally the question was thrown from Ardi's mouth after being detained earlier.
Alya raised her face and looked at the beautiful man before her. He shook his head slowly then lowered his head again and noticed the already slumbering Aura on his lap.
"He already knows if I can't take it. But I couldn't turn him down when he offered to help just deliver me like all this time. I'm sorry ...."
Ardi nodded, trying to understand Alya's position. He couldn't possibly forbid that graceful hijab-wearing doctor to befriend anyone. Moreover, Rendy is someone who has always been nearby and has helped Alya a lot in any circumstances.
It must be admitted, Rendy has taken care of and protected Alya well, even though she knows Alya will never be able to repay her feelings.
"Honestly I'm afraid you'll forget me while you're with her ..," honestly Ardi with his own face.
Alya fell silent despite not confirming Ardi's fear. He didn't want to discuss and reply to things that weren't important for now. The last moment before they parted, after almost a week together and tried to open each other's hearts.
Similarly Ardi, the widower doctor did not mind if Alya did not respond to his expressions of fear. He was just telling me what he was feeling right now. About the heart, he believed in Alya and in the woman's feelings completely.
I believe you, Al. I won't doubt you one bit. And I'll never let you go again.
Shortly after Aura fell asleep, Ardi and his daughter had to go into the waiting room because the time for the plane to depart was soon to arrive.
With a heavy heart they both walked side by side out of the cafe towards the departure lounge door. Aura was still in Alya's arms who was still reluctant to hand it over to her father.
"Alya ...." Ardi's voice began to sound heavy accompanied by a heartbeat that was getting louder and stifling the chest. They stopped a few meters from the entrance that Ardi and Aura were about to pass through.
Ardi reached out to take Aura from Alya's embrace and move her leaning on her sturdy shoulder. Alya tidied the hijab that was attracted irregularly when carrying her favorite beautiful baby.
"Take care of yourself and take care of your health" Ardi's message began what he wanted to say more. Alya nodded without a smile.
"You too. And please take good care of Aura, make sure she's always healthy."
Silence was created after Ardi agreed to Alya's request. There was a sense of unwillingness but still had to leave for a while. There is a sense of unwillingness but still have to let go and separate for how long.
Alya lowered her head and continued to play her two interlocked fingers. Unable to look at Ardi who kept looking at him without breaking.
Oh God, strengthen me. I don't want to look weak in front of him. I can't put more weight on her feelings.
"We are only separated temporarily to be united forever, if that time has come later. Do you believe me?"
Ardi waited for an answer from Alya, the woman he had now expected to be a life companion, equipping him and Aura who needed a figure like him.
Alya nodded again but still avoided Ardi's sorrow-laden shady gaze.
"Alya, please look at me ..," pinta Ardi before their time is eroded away. Alya chose to comply before she regretted it later.
"I love you. We both love you."
Unknowingly Alya's lips curled a smile. A happy smile at hearing something that had long been missing from her life.
Ardi's right hand stretched out to reach Alya's head but was held in the air and tightly clenched to save the desire to touch him. Then he pulled it back and held the handle of the suitcase beside him.
"Say it again, Al. I want to hear it before I leave." Ardi's gaze straightened, penetrating into the recesses.
"What ...?" alya asked nervously even though she knew what the man she had always loved wanted.
"Say you'll wait for me ...."
The faces of the two were still as close as before and interlocking the view that had grown dim and cloudy.
"I ...." Tears first dripped on her cheek, before the sentence was said from Alya's sweet lips.
Quickly wipe it down before the other details fall in. He smiled and hid his sadness.
Breathing in as much air around as possible, Alya then released it slowly with a calmer feeling.
"I'll be waiting for you. Waiting for you and Aura."
