LOVE NARA

LOVE NARA
2.36. GOODBYE

"What time will your plane fly, Al?"

Ardi's voice broke the silence in the car he was driving. Ever since they came out of the Yoga residence, only silence did they do, without a word.

"Fifth hour." Alya answered briefly with a face that was turned out the window.

Ardi looked at the watch on his wrist. There is still some time left before Alya goes into the waiting room for his departure.

Shortly after, they arrived at the airport. After parking his car, Ardi accompanied Alya to check-in first, then invited him to speak at one of the cafes inside the airport.

While pulling a small suitcase belonging to Alya, Ardi took her into one of the cafes close to the domestic plane departure terminal.

Inevitably, Alya followed the man's steps until they sat face to face in one of the corners chosen by Ardi.

"Why didn't you tell me, Al?" ardi asked about Alya's departure from his clinic and chose to accept the offer of Yoga and rest at the residence of Ardi's little friend.

Ardi found out about it while he was in the building this afternoon and overheard Nara and Alya talking there.

"Do you feel uncomfortable if you continue to be near me, so you choose to restore your health at the Yoga residence?"

Alya shook her head slowly and remained lowered.

"I can't refuse his request." That's all that comes from Alya's sweet lips.

Ardi didn't want to corner Alya. He did not want to make the woman even more uncomfortable with him.

"How are you doing now?"

"I'm fine."

Ardi could not understand why for a few days, there was still no Alya family who came to pick him up and accompany him.

"Is your husband's job more important than his own?"

Alya got into action with the question of the man sitting before her at this moment.

"I'm sorry, I don't think you have the right to comment on what is already our family's private domain!"

The woman tries to stop Ardi's bad thoughts about her family.

She still tried to understand him because he did not know the truth about his marriage and life all along.

And Alya will keep her hidden from the man she loves so much, who is now living happily with her little family.

"I'm sorry, Alya."

Ardi seemed to regret his words that had made Alya feel disturbed by it.

The two fell silent and enjoyed the drink that had been delivered to their table. Alya continued to avoid Ardi's gaze which kept on being fixed on him.

Although deep in his heart was happy with this short togetherness, but Alya still maintained the sanity of his mind and continued to limit himself from Ardi.

"Remember, Al. She has a family and has just been blessed with a beautiful baby, which will surely add to the happiness of their little family."

"Alya ...."

Again his heart trembled beautifully whenever he heard Ardi call him that. It still feels as happy as ever, even though reality is no longer what it used to be.

He only glanced at Ardi at a glance then turned his gaze in another direction.

"Are you happy with your marriage?"

For some reason since he first met Alya a few months ago, Ardi felt that there was something Alya had hidden from him.

He did not know whether his feelings and suspicions were right or wrong, but until now he still kept thinking about the same thing.

"I'm happy, like you."

Ardi hoped that he would feel relieved and calm with the firm and definite answer uttered by Alya. That meant his feelings as long as this was the wrong one.

But in reality, his heart still continues to doubt and can not believe just like that with the answer from his ex-lover.

"Is that what you're saying, Al? Why can't I believe what you said this time? What are you really hiding from me, Alya ...?"

"You shouldn't have taken me and left your wife and child who still desperately need your presence with them."

As a fellow woman, she kept thinking about the feelings of Bunga if she knew their togetherness behind her.

"Take all this as my thanks for your help and sacrifice for the safety of my wife and our little daughter."

"I don't know how to repay all your kindness, Al." Ardi looked at the face of the woman of his past.

In his heart he thanked Alya for being healthy and refreshed, after his condition weakened for several days after donating his blood to Flowers.

"Blessed always, Di. Be happy with your little family. Be happy with your beloved wife and daughter. That's all I expect from you."

Ardi's feelings were turbulent when he heard Alya's request addressed to him.

So sincere was Alya's feeling, that he only asked for her happiness in return for all that had been done by the woman he had loved so deeply in the past.

For a while their views met and were locked away with no one wanting to end them.

"Let everything stay like this, Di. You with all your happiness and me with my life and my solitude."

Alya smiled sincerely and chanted a prayer of happiness for the man she loved so much.

"Why do I see such hurt and sorrow in your beautiful eyes, Al? Why do I always feel like there's a lie behind your eyes?"

Since long ago, Ardi was always sensitive to all things related to Alya.

And it turns out, it is still felt until now, when they were reunited in circumstances that are no longer the same as before.

"If that's what you ask, then I'll do it, Al. But promise me that you will be happy with your family and your life there. Always be happy."

Alya did not want to respond to Ardi's request that he just said. Only a smile could she give to her beloved man.

Soon they got out of the cafe and headed to the departure hall.

"Thank you for bringing me here, Di. I'll go first."

Alya holds her suitcase which Ardi has released to give to her.

"Be careful, Al."

That's all Ardi can say while staring fixedly at his ex-lover.

His pair of shady netra continued to follow Alya's graceful steps that were about to pass through the barrier door.

"Alya ...!"

Unknowingly Ardi called out the name of the woman who had given the most beautiful memories of love in her heart.

Alya stopped her steps just before she passed the door. He looked back with a heart that kept on rustling finely.

For the last time their views met again and this time both of their neutrals were equally glazed and harboring the same fondness.

"Goodbye ...."

That was all that was said from Ardi's lips which still showed a faint smile.

Alya nodded and returned the smile with a tremor in her heart that started to doubt the sadness.

"Goodbye, Ardi ...."
