With a smile that continues to adorn his face, Rendy again drove his car to the clinic where Alya will continue his work after serving in the hospital.
Shortly thereafter Rendy's car had arrived and stopped beside the clinic's terrace.
Rendy gets out of the car and immediately prepares Alya's wheelchair. He opened the door for the woman he loved, then brought the ready wheelchair closer and let Alya out carefully.
"I'll drive you." Rendy's words stopped Alya's hand that was about to adjust the movement of her wheelchair with a few buttons on the right.
Unable to refuse it anymore because Rendy had started pushing her wheelchair into the clinic, Alya was silent to let Rendy drive her.
"Where's your room, Al?" asked the man after entering the main door.
Several nurses and other employees greeted Alya and replied Alya very kindly. Not wanting to be the center of attention any longer, Alya immediately guided Rendy to head towards where the room was.
Alay took Rendy to the private room that was behind her examination room. Unasked, Rendy opened the door of the room to make Alya feel more calm and comfortable.
Alya invited Rendy to sit on the small sofa at the front and leave for a while to enter the examination room through the connecting door.
Rendy noticed the atmosphere of the room. Small but neatly organized with only three available spaces. That is the bedroom, bathroom and front room that he currently occupies.
Shortly after, Alya returned. His face was nervous as if he wanted to say something. But Rendy, who saw it, thought the woman was uncomfortable with her presence there.
The man immediately stood up to leave so that Alya would feel calmer.
"Then I go home first, Al. I don't want to interrupt your break."
"But, Ren ...." Alya felt that something was wrong from the attitude of the bone doctor.
"Don't forget to have lunch and take your medicine."
With a still-influenced smile on her lips, Rendy turned towards the door without waiting for the answer of the woman who had made her fall in love.
"Guide me to lunch here."
One sentence that came out of Alya's lips was actually able to stop Rendy's footsteps instantly. With a look of disbelief he turned his head and looked at Alya.
"Take this as a sign of my gratitude because you were willing to bring me here." Alya lowered her head and hid her face that had been splattered red.
"Did I hear wrong this time?" Still in disbelief, Rendy made sure again to the woman in front of him.
Alya shook her head. "I've ordered lunch for us from the cafeteria, so don't turn it down."
Rendy's happy face could no longer be hidden. The man continued to stare at Alya with a look of disbelief.
"Thank you, Al." The man sat back in his place.
Moments later, two canteen employees came to deliver lunch Alya order is quite complete. After presenting it on the table, the two immediately came out again.
"I'm sorry if the menu doesn't go your way. I just remember what you used to order when we had lunch with friends in the hospital cafeteria."
With simple vegetables and side dishes typical of home cooking, Alya let Rendy enjoy the dishes available.
"I'm flattered now, Al. You remember my habits first. Thank you." Thank you."
In the past, before Rendy revealed her heart to Alya who ended up with two rejections, their togetherness was created more often every day, even if only limited in the environment they served..
Together with other colleagues, they often eat lunch together in the canteen in a much warmer atmosphere than now.
"Today was really full of surprises for me, Al. After being able to get you here, now I can enjoy lunch with you again like before. I'm so happy about it, Al."
A quiet atmosphere is created during lunch. There was a sense of awkwardness and nervousness among those who were still dissolved in their respective feelings.
"Whether I decide this is right or wrong, but I feel the need to do it so as not to constantly hurt your heart with all my words and attitudes of rejection to you, Ren."
Alya took the medicine from inside the bag and drank it as soon as her lunch was over. Rendy who was paying attention could only smile in relief and still continue to be engulfed in immense happiness.
Ending his lunch by sipping out a glass of water, Rendy thanked him inwardly.
Suddenly for some reason, their two pairs of eyes had exchanged glances and brought up something that was somehow named in the hearts of the two.
Something that made Alya's heart beat erratically, and began to be hit by a greater nervousness than before. Hurriedly lowered his gaze as soon as he realized his negligence.
"I don't want to lose this moment of togetherness again, Al." Out of her own control, Rendy revealed her current heart without being able to prevent it anymore.
His eyes dimmed, signifying the seriousness of his current speech.
"Al, may I ask you one chance?"
Alya kept her head down and kept her gaze, also hiding her increasingly tense-looking face.
"It doesn't matter to me that eventually things will stay the same as they have been all along." Rendy took responsibility, no longer hesitating to continue her words.
Alya closed her eyes as soon as she heard Rendy's very sudden request. Sudden and shocking, making Alya has not been able to take any stance at this time.
"I just want to get closer to you, Al. At least give me a chance to be able to look after and protect yourself more than ever."
Rendy took out all her heart to the woman she loved more.
But this time, not to repeat his request that had been twice rejected by Alya, but only to ask permission to be someone who was always there for the woman.
He wanted to be closer to Alya as a friend, as a place to share stories, as a place to spill all the feelings in his heart.
"All I want now is to make you happy, Al. Truly I expect nothing more from our togetherness this time, if you give me the opportunity to do so."
"If one day you could open your heart to me, I would be grateful for that as a trust that I would take care of as well as possible by continuing to give you happiness."
"So on the contrary, if one day you have found the best person you will choose to be your life partner, then sincerely and happily I will let you go with the lucky man."
