"How's he doing, Doc?" alya asked the pediatrician who had just done an examination on Aura.
Inside the examination room, Ardi and Aura were accompanied by Alya like he had promised last night. Yoga only comes to deliver to the hospital lobby because there are important meetings in his office.
"Is there a story like this from her parents? I think his condition is down from one of his parents" replied the Doctor by asking a new question for Ardi.
Alya who stood looked at Ardi at a glance. The man continued to face up to notice Aura who was already inside his carriage.
The woman swung the tiny body of little princess Ardi slowly to stay asleep without being distracted by their conversation with the doctor.
"Maybe my late wife, Doc. I'm not sure because I've never seen my wife like that before. But ...." The voice of the widower doctor was stuck in the throat when he was about to talk about the wife who had left quietly.
"His wife used to have a history of chronic ulcers that had caused blood vessel rupture to have acute anemia, Doc." Alya continued the brief explanation to the female doctor who was more mature than them.
"I think that's the cause. Your baby also has symptoms of anemia. We need to carry out further examinations including laboratory examinations to ensure the right and most accurate results."
Ardi's heart beat very fast when he heard the words of the Doctor who made his body limp instantly. The shadow of the same illness that Flower had suffered in the past, made her heart overwhelmed with great anxiety and fear.
Alya who saw the change Ardi could not do anything. He could only strengthen the man through the thread of prayer he offered, as it was impossible to approach and appease the single parent directly.
His gaze shifted on the calm plain face of the baby in his hand. Haru taste just like that when locking the gaze on the baby he loved.
Her beautiful eyes began to turn red and teary but held as strong as possible to not cry and also weakened like Ardi.
Waiting for the doctor who was writing a cover letter to do a laboratory examination, Ardi again looked up to pay attention to his little daughter.
But what he got first was precisely the sad face and reddened Alya who continued to stare fixedly at the increasingly sound Aura in the cradle of the elegant hijab doctor.
Every now and then Alya kissed the little baby's face affectionately and bought it with the back of the fingers. Despite just looking at it, Ardi could feel the depth of sincerity Alya had given Aura.
"Thank you for loving my daughter so sincerely, Al. I don't know what it would have been like for me to panic yesterday, if none of you had come to help and calm Aura down. Once again thank you ...."
Realizing that someone was watching her, Alya raised her face and found Ardi still looking at her deeply. Alya subconsciously reviewed one gentle smile for the man who immediately replied to her with the same thing.
Getting a smile back from Ardi, Alya just realized his actions. Hurriedly he lowered his head and avoided the gaze that so shook his heart.
The woman shifted her body position so that her face was no longer visible to Ardi who was sitting opposite the Doctor, who was still busy writing some notes and prescription drugs.
"Oh my God, I'm sorry. What did I do?"
Alya regretted his actions that were out of awareness earlier, although in his heart he felt a speck of happiness when he saw Ardi throw a smile for him.
"Doctor Alya, are you on duty this morning?" ask the finished doctor with some sheets of paper in his hand.
"I'm off this morning, Doc. Can I help you?"
In fact, after coming home from the hospital last night Alya had contacted the hospital administration to reset his duty schedule and requested a day off.
He wanted to accompany Aura who, according to the doctor last night, had to do follow-up examinations with pediatricians and laboratories as well.
"Since the patient is your relative, it would be best if Doctor Alya could deliver him to the laboratory with this cover letter." The doctor handed Ardi a letter of introduction which had been enveloped in a white envelope labeled hospital.
"After the results come out, it can be immediately left to me for us to analyze and we determine the next step." Alya nodded and agreed to the doctor's request.
Without being asked, he would do it, because Ardi himself was a guest in this city. The man had never done any checks before, although he had often come back and forth to visit here to visit Yoga and Nara.
Ardi accepted everything and immediately stood up and thanked the Doctor and the nurse who accompanied him.
Alya did the same then walked out of the room followed by Ardi behind her. They walked to the elevator to go downstairs.
Ardi was about to take over Aura from Alya's sling, but as the little baby was delirious and crying, the man stopped doing so and let the princess remain in the warm arms of the graceful woman.
"I'm sorry to bother you, Al," Ardi said between them waiting for an elevator that had not yet opened.
"Don't think about it and don't talk about it anymore, Di. I was just doing what I should have done and indeed I could do," Alya replied without taking her eyes off Aura who had fallen back asleep.
In front of Ardi, he kissed her with anxiety and affection the little baby, making Ardi's heart again flowed a subtle sigh for a moment.
Tinkling a loud sound was heard as red marks lit up on the floor number they were on. The two prepared to enter after the elevator doors opened and some people exited first.
"Al's? You still here?" Rendy exits the elevator and greets Alya who is surprised to see her.
For a moment he looked at Ardi and stretched out his hand which was warmly welcomed by Ardi who knew nothing about the relationship of the two doctors.
Rendy looked towards Alya's visible examination room in the distance, opposite several rooms with her own examination room.
"I'm off duty today, Ren." Alya answered briefly because Rendy would know if in fact he did not have a holiday and should have served his patients there.
"I ...." Ardi, who was already in advance and joined some people who were already in the elevator, called Alya to ask him to come in. His hand still pressed the button to keep the door open.
"Sorry, I'm down first, Ren." Alya pampered and hurriedly got into the elevator.
Rendy could still stare at Alya's unsettled face which kept looking down on Aura, before the elevator door completely shut tightly and left herself in the quiet place.
"It's a shame that you were with that baby, Al, so you deliberately shifted your schedule of duties just to accompany the examination, with his father who was none other than the man you loved so much ...."
