"How, Doc? Are there any signs of pregnancy in the test?"
Unbeknownst to her husband, Nara was escorted by Mr. Budi to visit Alya at the clinic and ask for an early examination of her menstrual delay these few days.
"You're very impatient apparently," Alya replied as she twirled the transducer on the surface of Nara's abdomen. His attention was still on what he found and was seen on the monitor screen in front of him.
"The doctor already knew about this greatest desire of mine. Therefore, I immediately went here to confirm it."
This morning, Nara secretly brought a testpek into the bathroom and did an early examination without Yoga's knowledge.
But because the results he saw were still very vague and made him doubtful, he decided to make a schedule of consultations with Alya to make sure everything.
"It looks like this time you're out of luck, Ra ...."
Alya's flat answer and without turning her head towards him, made Nara sigh long and calm herself down.
"It's okay, Doc. Maybe it's not time yet. Anyway, we just started back."
Alya turned towards Nara who was still lying down with a flat face that she forced to show a small smile.
"Listen to me one more time, Ra. You are indeed unlucky .., but you are very lucky because you can get pregnant immediately after last month starting this natural pregnancy program."
Nara's face turned bright instantly. He stared at Alya's smiling face towards him, without another word.
"What's? Doctor mean, I ...? I'm pregnant??" He saw Alya nodding and showed a small dot that appeared on the monitor screen.
"Yes, Ra. You're pregnant, look at this. It's her fetus, it's still very small and I had enough trouble finding it."
Unknowingly Nara shed tears. Her heart continued to argue happily after Alya! ascertained pregnancy.
"Thank God, thank you, God ...!!" For a moment Nara closed her eyes and gave thanks in her heart for the gift she had been so eagerly awaited.
"Congratulations, Ra. I'm so happy and happy!"
Alya widened her smile and looked at the face of her new best friend who was very kind.
"Thank you, Doctor."
Nara nodded and wiped her tears. His smile grew wider now, after Alya gave him the good news that he really expected.
"Your pregnancy is very young, it's still five weeks. That's why the pregnancy hormones in your urine are still so low that when you examine them with a test, the results of the lines still look faint."
Nara turned her head back to the side and stared at the small dot that Alya showed with a haru feeling.
"Will he be okay, Doc? What do I have to do so that the little fetus can survive and continue to develop?" asked Nara enthusiastically.
"Much rest first. Reduce your activity until the next checkup. We'll make sure of it again next month."
Nara nodded in understanding. In his heart he is determined to keep his pregnancy this time with the best so that the fetus that has grown in his womb continues to grow and develop properly as it should.
Alya again moved the transducer she was holding and did another check. One by one, he examined the condition of Nara's pregnancy carefully so that no one was missed by her.
"His heart rate has not been heard because of the very early gestational age at this time. God willing next month we can already hear it together."
Alya put the transducer back in place and concentrated with the results on the monitor screen.
His hands are busy on the papas type and write something that makes the display on the screen change according to the focus of the examination.
"All is well and normal. I'm going to prescribe some drugs and vitamin boosters so that your little baby's growth is more optimal and next month we can see it getting bigger and healthier."
Alya returns to her desk and writes down a prescription for Nara while waiting for the woman to get up from the bed and tidy up her appearance, aided by a nurse who accompanies her during the examination.
While Alya writes a report on Nara's patient health file, they both create small, light-hearted chats about pregnancy and Nara's plans to surprise Yoga.
In the middle of the chatter came knocking on the door from outside the room. After Alya answered him, the door opened slowly and there was a face of Rendy who was smiling gently towards Alya.
At first glance Nara turned her head and noticed the man standing in the doorway and greeted her with a nod of his head. He replied to her with the same thing then looked back at Alya before him.
"Oh, sorry. I thought I had finished the examination. Ii'm sorry. I'll wait for you outside."
Alya simply nodded and smiled slightly then lowered her head. Meanwhile, Rendy immediately turned around and closed the door.
Nara noticed the change in Alya's face. The doctor hides but tries to hide it.
"Help ...!! It seems I've been missing something for this month."
Nara still continued to notice the changes on Alya's face that were getting more visible to her as the woman raised her head and looked at her with a shy smile.
"He was Doctor Rendy, the bone doctor who handled me all this time ...." Alya's tone was still hanging as if something had not been finished.
"And she ...??" Nara tried to lure him in and waited for an answer from Alya.
"He just picked me up to go to the hospital after this."
Nara was able to catch Alya's nervousness while giving her answer. The face of the elegant hijab doctor was still blushing, just like when he first saw Rendy appear behind the door earlier.
All this time he knew, Alya was very independent and limited his association with the opposite sex. He always went anywhere alone, except with a driver who for several months was seen delivering and picking him up for work.
"Has he become your new driver? Or ...?" Nara seduces by hanging her sentence again and noticing Alya's increasingly misbehavior.
"We are just good friends" Alya replied briefly making Nara smile widely and feel happy.
"May he not only be a good friend, but he will be someone who can make your life better and happier, Doc!"
Nara again saw the happy aura on Alya's face which now no longer hid her smile.
"We are living a closer friendship than ever, Ra. Just pray for the best, because I can't be sure of anything for now."
"I'm not sure what I'm feeling right now, because honestly deep down in my innermost heart, it's still always her name and the best love just for her."
