LOVE NARA
3.27. UNEXPECTED MEETING

"So? Can I keep your number from now on?" asked Ardi in the lowest tone possible so that Alya did not feel pressure from him.

Alya was still silent in her raunya. He chose to look at Aura's plain face that looked calm and comfortable in her arms.

"Ah ..., why do I feel so hard to part with this beautiful baby? Ardi said, the day after they're coming home. Then what about me here? Will Aura forget me after this?"

Alya remembered the condition of Aura who still had to continue undergoing routine treatment to recover her condition. He kept thinking about how he could help monitor the state of Aura and keep abreast of his health, while they would be separated in a great distance.

Ardi was surprised when suddenly Alya sobbed and clenched closer Aura then kissed her gently over and over again. Her tears even trickled down the face of her little princess, who was hurriedly cleaned by herself by the woman.

"Alya ...?"

The call from Ardi sounded different, reminding Alya of the past. Immediately removed the remaining tears, then smiled without turning to Ardi who continued to master the steering wheel while occasionally paying attention to it.

"I'm fine. Just feeling sad just considering that I will be parting ways with Aura soon," Alya honestly replied with a face that had already revealed a forced smile.

"We can still get in touch over the phone, Al. Thus you can continue to monitor Aura at all times, and instead I can contact you if she whines looking for you later."

Alya heard Ardi's words and started to feel calm again. Ardi was right, he could still meet with Aura over the phone at any time.

"So let me keep your number and vice versa, keep my number so that at any time we can contact each other, especially if Aura is looking for you."

Finally Alya nodded and granted Ardi's request. He also felt relieved because later he could still meet with Aura even though only through voice and video connections.

"Thank you, Al." Ardi is no less happy because now he can keep Alya's number as he wants.

Waiting in front of the pediatrician examination room, the three of them were like a happy little family. Ardi sat beside Alya who was still holding Aura who remained asleep in her arms.

No words were spoken but occasionally their views met with beautiful vibrations that they continued to feel in their hearts.

The door of the room opened and a nurse called out the name of the next patient while letting out the patient who had finished being examined.

"Alya ...," called a woman who had just walked out of the examination hall.

Alya's heart seemed to stop beating for a moment as she looked towards the woman who was holding the tiny baby before her. His face suddenly pias and was filled with fear, which was clearly visible to Ardi who immediately turned to look at him.

"What's wrong with Alya?"

It was not the woman who surprised Alya and changed her attitude, but a man who stood close beside the woman who called him.

At first glance, Alya had a conversation with the man who immediately made his feelings weaken and filled with extraordinary fear.

Secretly Ardi began to be vigilant despite not knowing what was going on. He was only worried about Alya who turned tense and deathly pale. His body movements also showed a very visible discomfort to him who continued to pay attention from the side.

"Cindy ...." A word said from Alya's lips. His voice was soft and vibrating in such a way.

Yes, the woman is Cindy who holds the tiny baby she once helped her birth process. And the man beside her is Riko, who just got out of jail for getting a cut of the sentence.

The real Cindy still wants to talk to Alya undoes her intentions after seeing her husband's bad behavior and needs to be calmed down immediately.

"Sorry, I have to go home soon. Nice to meet you, Al. Maybe next time we can meet again in a better situation." With the words as calm as possible, the woman bailed to Alya who only replied to her with a single nod of her head.

Alya momentarily looked at the tiny baby Cindy held and looked back at the woman as if she wanted to ask the state of the baby but did not speak in words.

"He's fine. We brought her here to immunise on schedule. Thank you for your attention." Cindy tells Alya that her husband's ex-wife no longer looks at her baby with worry.

Alya nodded back then lowered her gaze, avoiding Riko's gaze which from the beginning continued to be directed towards her.

Cindy immediately invites Riko away from the presence of Alya and Ardi because she does not want her husband to act out of bounds again like before.

She didn't even have time to ask anything about the whereabouts of Alya she saw holding a baby bigger than her baby, and there was an unknown man sitting next to the obstetrician.

After the departure of Cindy and Riko with their baby, slowly Alya's face began to look calm again despite still seeming anxiety and tension on her face. The seat was comfortable and did not panic like before.

"Are you okay, Al?"

Ardi ventured to ask Alya who had already revealed a smile on her lips while looking closely at Aura's face and rubbed her red cheeks gently.

Alya simply nodded without a word and did not even look at her. It seemed like the woman was still hiding something from him and did not want him to know about it.

"I feel like there's something that's making you not okay right now, Al. But what ...?"

Ardi tried to guess and parse his memories of the events he had just seen.

"Who are they? They know each other but .. I don't know, it feels like there's something else they both hold and they hide."

Ardi looked at Alya with a warm and loving look. In his heart he still kept wondering and filled with suspicion towards the two people he saw earlier, especially the man who just stood tense with a face that was not friendly at all.

"See the flash of hatred in the eyes of the man. He also continued to stare at Alya sharply and full of stifled anger. But why ...? Is there a problem between them? Or is he part of Alya's past?"

Various possibilities began to cross Ardi's mind. I don't know why this time he was so worried about Alya's condition. It is not usual for Alya to behave like that to others. The woman was always friendly and full of smiles to anyone who greeted her everywhere, whether she knew her or not.

"I'll find out the truth. I'm so worried about you, Al. I don't want to see you like that anymore. Full of fear and anxiety. I just want to see you always smiling and full of happiness."
