The Hidden Love

The Hidden Love
Can't Read it

Love opens her eyes immediately when the baby kicks her hard. He grimaced in pain.

"Csh ... Honey, you're very active, son," his monologue rubbed his battered stomach.

Feeling his bed crackling, William woke up. The man immediately got up following his wife.

"Where are you going? It's still too early" said the man who detained his wife.

"It's six and a half, can't be said too early."

"Yes, but where are you going?"

"You take a walk" Love's back.

"Wait a minute."

Love stood in the doorway, waiting for her husband who shortly afterwards returned and put a knit sweater on her body.

"It's still cold, I don't want you to be cold."

Love still flinch when William clasps his hand and takes him out for a walk to the park.

"Where do you want to go for a walk? The park is near an artificial lake?"

The woman just nodded. The two keep walking side by side. Because it was still quite early in the morning, the atmosphere along the road was still quiet. Sometimes Love glanced at the man beside her through the tail of her eyes. The same man, but has changed a lot, Love admits it but it does not make it melt away.

"Are you happy?"

Love halted her steps, staring at the ink-black bead of eyes to find out about the meaning of her husband's question.

"Was we parted you feeling happy?" William repeated the question.

"Of course, do you expect me to suffer?" ask Love, sarcasm.

"Of course when not. I just ..."

"I've never been as happy as I was then. Can be free from a sense of shackling, of course very happy. I never intended to seize or take something that had belonged to someone else in the first place" Love explained.

"You mean?"

"your heart. I knew during our marriage you loved Raisa. I know you harbored deep feelings for her, it's just that I was stupid. I was too confident that I could win your heart."

"I'm sorry for that."

"And when I had to lose the single most precious person in my life, I realized that the stupidity I was doing not only had an impact on me, but on my mother as well. If only she had not died under such circumstances, if she had not died carrying wounds when she knew that the husband of her daughter had never loved her."

"Min ..."

"I'll probably never blame myself."

"I'm wrong" William said. "Never blame yourself for your mother's departure, because here I am wrong" he added.

"That's why I hate you so much."

The utterance that escaped the lips of Love was like an invisible dagger that struck William's heart. The man was silent, still standing looking at his now wet wife.

"If it wasn't for this baby in my womb, I'm sure you'd never do this. I know you did it with me by mistake, a mistake that ultimately made you even more mired. One thing I'm very grateful for, even though he was born because of a parent's fault, but I love him so much."

"Why did you say that?"

"Is there something wrong with my words? If not, then you will not be able to pursue Raisa."

"Love, I've talked about this a lot with you."

"I can still even hear it clearly the moment where you confessed your feelings to her."

"But that was before," William argued.

"How is it different from now?"

"Obviously, I don't hold that feeling at all to her anymore, please believe me."

"Do you think it's that easy to believe what you say?"

"Geez!" William scooped his face rough. "Tell me what to do to make you believe that feeling is really gone for her? say it!"

"Can you tell him to go back home?"

"What?"

"I'm very uncomfortable with his existence" continued Love.

The statement of love made William gawk in disbelief. The love he knew was a girl who always kept her feelings close, whatever it was would be her own pendam Love. Unlike the present Love, tends to be firm and forthright.

Love resumed his steps, letting the man stand. She didn't expect much because she was just testing her husband. There was a speck of love that he could see emanating from William's eyes for him, but again the experience made him not want to be mired in the same hole.

"I'll do it as soon as we get home" William said as the man chases after Love.

"No need to force yourself."

"Whatever it takes to earn your trust again, then I'll do it."

Love smiles satirically. "Would I ask you to end your life, would you? Who am I, that you would do that for me."

"It doesn't matter if you still can't believe that I love you" replied William lightly.

They continued to walk under the grove of trees that loomed on the edge of the road.

"You should be happy because I have given you up to pursue what is your happiness. What do you expect from a woman like me."

"Because you never trusted me, because you never gave me a chance to prove that I really love you."

"Is it because of this baby?"

William was furious that Love always accused him of this.

"I told you that I would never restrict you or your family from meeting this child if he was born later, because after all he is your flesh and blood."

"Until when are you gonna keep talking shit like this? Do you regret marrying me again?"

"Yes" replied Love without hesitation.

That certainly adds to the list of wounds in William's heart. However, again the man only silently accepted because he thought what happened to Love was the result of his actions as well.

"Why do you want to do it?"

"Because mom and oma are forcing. If you're the only one forcing me, of course I'm refusing this marriage outright again."

"You regretted it?"

"Well, because I don't want to fall in the same hole. I don't want my life to suffer from the wounds inflicted by the same man. I used to love you so much, but you were the cause of my mother's death." Love stared intently at her husband.

"Do I have to die too, so that you will forgive me?"

"It's not that easy. You have to pay a heavy price for all the pain you have inflicted on me, so don't think that I will easily forgive you."

William looked at the face of the woman he loved. Now she knows what caused Love so much to change, because of the wounds she gave.

"That's why I want to fix everything. I want to make amends for all my mistakes with you, and your mother."

"Your sense of regret will only increase with you forcing yourself to marry a woman you don't love."

"Love," sizzled William. The man's gaze turned to panic as he saw grains as big as corn seeds seeping in his wife's temple.

"You sick?" ask William, panic.

"I'm okay."

"Go home yuk! you're so pale."

Without listening to her husband's words, Love continues to walk to the place she wants to visit. In the past, she had dreamed of being able to walk with her husband in this state of pregnancy.

At that time, her pregnancy had just entered its fourth month. Love once saw a couple go for a walk together, then just have breakfast together in the park. Love just wants to make her dreams come true, nothing more.

"Love don't ngeyel! you're sweating cold like this, you're tired."

Love did not argue when William took her to sit on a bench that happened to be located on the side of the road, just under a tree.

"You're sitting here, yeah, I'm looking for a drink first, it looks like there's a stall nearby."

Love does not answer. To be honest he had started to feel dizzy ever since his quarrel with William began, but he tried to ignore it.

Shortly after, William returned with a bottle of drink. He opened it and gave it to Love.

"You sick?" william's question was answered only with a slab by his wife.

"Don't lie, what do you feel, heum?"

"I'm okay?"

"Other times if you want to walk using a car, you can walk as much as you in the park so that there is no more kayak gini incident."

William quickly grabbed Love's body into his arms without the girl dodging.

"Don't get sick, I beg you" whispered William.

Love smiles bitterly. Had she been able to read William's feelings for him, she herself would still be confused to distinguish William's panic at him on the basis of love or simply because of his status as the mother of the baby boy.
