The Hidden Love

The Hidden Love
News of the suffering (part 3)

"You still here, sir?"

The question asked from a nurse who wanted to enter the ICU room also broke the ice that had previously surrounded two men who were not currently budging in his place.

Like finding a spring in the middle of an arid field, the Sultan turned his head and approached the nurse after previously he sat Adam's body as if powerless, on a bench.

The Sultan knew exactly that the question the nun asked was addressed to adam, so at least the nun knew what happened before her arrival there, the Sultan thought.

"Sus, sorry. The patient who was treated inside earlier, where is it now?"

The Sultan stared fixedly at his interlocutor, looking very anxious that engulfed in the man.

"It was moved to the mortuary an hour ago, sir."

"What?"

Instantly the Sultan's body stiffened.

"Yes, sir, I think that Master is already there because soon the body will be returned to the funeral home." the nurse pointed to Adam.

"Gosh my god."

The sultan approached Adam and then pulled his friend's hand, the thought that was raging in his head making him unable to think clearly. He did not even have time to thank the sister. He continued to run dragging Adam's body down a long hallway that seemed to have no end.

"Where's Dam's den? damn*n, why didn't I ask that sister."

The Sultan's step stopped for a moment, in view of Adam's face was so chaotic.

"Haish! I'm free to ask you, you're fasting talkin' right?"

The Sultan continued to curse his stupidity, had he not acted recklessly by leaving just like that, maybe he managed to reach the morgue without wasting time like this.

"Dam, talk fast! say something or I'll beat you up if you keep quiet!" hardik Sultan's.

He no longer knew how to deal with Adam this time. Adam's silence really made him lose his mind.

"Will you shut up?" Sultan belching. "Alright, maybe you should be awakened immediately" the Sultan murmured.

Bugs!

The Sultan threw his fist at Adam's face but as fast as lightning Adam could throw the Sultan's hand so as not to hit his face.

Without saying Adam stepped away leaving the Sultan still glued.

The Sultan was still inexhaustible with what incident had made his friend act like that.

"When are you going to stand there? quickly follow me!"

The first sentence that came out of Adam's mouth after a long time he was silent was able to return the Sultan to his consciousness.

The Sultan ran after Adam who started moving away.

"I thought you would do tapa brata to increase your devotion" the Sultan said in a mocking tone, as there was no longer any distance between the two.

Instead of answering, Adam instead replied to the Sultan with a fierce gaze then swung his legs back towards the mortuary.

God, shucks are right he is. From earlier I had difficulty dragging him down the long winding hallway and it turned out that he already knew where the corpse room was? where was his mind exactly? what he thought made him look like a man with a lost memory. Free me I keep walking like crazy. The sultan continued to.

"Who died? why do you look so beaten up?"

Adam's body suddenly paused for a moment to make the Sultan who tailed behind him almost hit his body.

Salah again, again the Sultan was only able to satin without being able to say it directly because he saw Adam again put on a hostile face.

Adam continued his journey. "You'll know as soon as we get to it" he replied flatly.

"You're really why? why since I came you keep talking unclear. I don't have time to solve your riddles so be honest!" Sultan could not keep his curiosity alone, so he again asked a question.

Sepi, only the sound of shoes that collide with the floor to cause a sound that echoes each other.

"Come in!" adam was so cold.

After walking for ten minutes now the two had arrived at a large room to be addressed.

The sultan closed his eyes many times, seeing the wooden board bearing the 'cadaver room' in front of him made a glimmer of doubt re-enter his heart. Not believing what he saw but he tried to dispel the doubt by moving forward.

"The body is in the second row from the far right."

The hand of the Sultan still faithfully holds the door handle when he hears Adam's narration. The man turned his head for a while to be able to see Adam's face with an expression he could not understand.

Adam nodded then patted the Sultan on the shoulder, his mouth was indeed locked tightly but the Sultan could understand with the language of his friend's eyes which hinted him to immediately enter the room.

With a stiff step, the Sultan approached one by one the bed that was there until he had arrived in front of the bed containing the body intended Adam.

Repeatedly he took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, at this moment in front of him had stiffened the corpse of a man who had made Adam so devastated by his departure.

With trembling hands, a white cloth covered the body of the corpse. Slowly a figure of the face began to be seen when he spread some of the cloth.

As soon as his heart ached, his body trembled violently followed by cold sweat seeping through the pores of his skin. His mouth gaped with eyes fully rounded, he did not expect if the corpse that was stiffened in front of him was a person he was very familiar with.

It's only fitting that Adam to feel so badly hit by losing one of his good friends.

Yes, the corpse that was currently in the presence of the Sultan was the corpse of Reno, the person who had spent almost his entire life together with him as well as Adam.

Sultan lunglai's body, he fell on the floor. Her tears just flowed without her being able to control it.

The glimpses of the past they had gone through together, re-imagined in his eyes and it made him sad considering that now the friendship they had forged over the decades had to end this way. He did curse Reno who had helped Mauryn commit a heinous act on his wife but despite all that, they were true friends.

Not just sharing food and drink, more than that they always share their feelings both like and sorrow and it makes the emotional closeness that is established between them more deeply.

The sultan hopes that the sentence Reno will carry in the holding cell will get him back on the right track if he ever comes out of bars. Hoping that Reno will change to make his little family happy if Alma later pardons him and gives him the opportunity to live together again but all is just hope. Pupus is all his hopes together with Reno's departure for all eternity.  Really, the Sultan never expected that they would have to part ways in this tragic manner.

While on the other hand, the state of Adam was not much different from the Sultan. Tears seemed unwilling to stop flowing from her eyes.

Unable to stand the sight in front of him, Adam turned around, leaned his body against the wall and then fell on the floor. His shoulders rose and fell as his cries grew.

This is not what he wants, which friend is willing to see the tragic death of his friend even though his friend has committed a crime.

Just like the Sultan, he only wanted that while in prison Reno could repent, regret all his actions and return to the right path. Reorganizing his life from the beginning as soon as he got out of there and re-knit the rope of brotherhood that had been torn apart.

Living happily with his partner and his own little family is Adam's dream. What a dream is too expensive to have to make him pay dearly with suffering in such a way. Again his tears fell, how many he had cried since he came to the hospital and saw how Reno died.

"Have you told his family?" sultan asked, wiping his tears.

Hearing the Sultan's hoarse voice made Adam raise his head which had been bowed since.

Adam nodded. "Already," he said almost inaudible.

"Why didn't anyone come here?" Sultan curious.

"I've told you that his family has crossed him off the family name list" said Adam. "I even begged his parents to come, since hearing the news Reno was in the hospital to die, until now they did not come. What else am I supposed to do?"

The Sultan again shed tears, taking a sitting position next to his friend. He bit his lips as much as possible so that his cries could not be heard.

"I've contacted him, maybe he's in trouble right now" Adam said.

"Why could that be?" The Sultan looked back at Adam's face, trying to find an answer from the depths of his friend's eyes.

"His parents forbid him to come here while his biological parents are not much different. They're threatening not to recognize Alea as his granddaughter and you know for yourself what kind of parliamentary drama people are."

"Alea will be crossed out in heirs" guessed the Sultan.

"Fright!"

"Then what about the body now? where will you return?" ask the Sultan again.

"I've decided one thing."

The view of the two met again, the Sultan again saw the figure of Adam who used to be, a man with a mature attitude and wise typical of a father.

Adam got up from his seat, he gave his hand and helped the Sultan get up.

.

"Why haven't you guys contacted me in the first place? why did I come after everything was over, and what is this, what kind of funeral is this, huh? he's human why should he be buried this way?"

Raka kept shouting, just like her two friends who still could not believe the reality in plain sight, completely.

The man continued to grumble along the way because the Sultan told him nothing, his friend just told him to come to the funeral and how surprised he was once he saw the name written on the tomb board.

Disappointment in the man was mounting when he saw no one who attended the funeral other than just two friends.

"What's going on, huh? how could everything be like ...," Raka hung up her sentence. He who is frustrated keeps pulling his hair.

His chest rumbled with a raging feeling in his heart.

Raka was gathered in front of the mound of land that was still wet, he lowered his head for a moment, closed his eyes while reciting a prayer that he could say. It was the only thing he could do to accompany Reno's departure at her final resting place.

.

Three hours later.

"You two are such jerks! can't wait for you guys who have been silent since without giving me any explanation?" maki Raka's. "You're gonna keep telling me to wait till when? uh huh? answer me!"

Adam's body was scowled as soon as listening to Raka let out her high tone.

"Well, if that's what you want, I'll get you out of here. We've been close for over ten years and it's not enough for you to think of me as a friend? OK." OK."

Raka grabbed the suit that was attached to the shoulder of the chair, intending to leave there as soon as possible.

"What a pleasure to be friends with two mute men like you," said Raka again before he opened the door to Adam's room. "Geez!" Raka squealed in shock as soon as she felt her head hit by something which then gave a cold effect that spread all over her body.

"You really want to leave us?" lirih Adam with sad eyes.

Raka turned her back, in the face of the floor below which was flooded with water coming from a plastic cup containing a cold drink thrown by Adam on her, earlier.

With a cocky taste that was ingrained, Raka again walked and then sat on the long sofa, removing the two bodies of her friends so that she could sit in the middle of the Sultan and Adam.

"Don't make me wait any more! so tell me quickly!" said Raka, still in a high tone.

"I was on my way to the restaurant when Alma called me." Adam grabbed his glass, took a sip of it a little then put it back where it was. The man took a deep breath before continuing his story.

"So Alma knew this before?" ask Raka. "Why didn't he come to the funeral?" Raka couldn't hold back much longer. The curiosity within him had already mounted.

"That's why he called me, he asked me to come to the hospital. Early in the morning the police called him and informed him of Reno's dying condition. Her in-laws and family forbade her to see Reno, so she asked me to come and replace her to keep Reno in the hospital." Adam raised his head trying to hold back all his might so that he would no longer cry.

Raka patted Adam on the back, feeling it was all he could do to strengthen his friend's heart.

"How did he get to die?" Raka's getting curious.

"He refused the orders of another prisoner who told Reno to massage him. Let's say the person who told him was the gang leader who was in the same cell as Reno. There were approximately four people there and they started to roar at Reno as Reno continued to insist on refusing the order."

Raka shuddered in horror as soon as he heard the explanation uttered by Adam, his hair bristled, he could imagine the ferocity of the fighting that occurred in prison like most foreign action films he watched so far. Raka did not dare to ask questions like before, he still faithfully listened to the continuation of Adam's story.

"Initially Reno tried to fight back, but in numbers he was outnumbered. One in four men with trained martial skills can certainly paralyze him. You know for yourself that his expertise in fighting jotos is not as smart as us. And the peak he was beaten to the brink, before the fateful incident somehow Reno had spat on the head of the gang. It ignited the man's anger and made him flinch by greeting Reno's neck with a small dagger that he always hid in his pants pocket."

"Hoek .. hoek ..." Raka's stomach immediately reacted, she could not bear to remove her entrails.

Hearing Adam's story making Raka nauseous, she closed her eyes while shaking her head to dispel the shadow of his vileness, which continued to spin in her head.

He wiped his dry mouth, reaching for a glass of water proffered by the Sultan.

"So what's the duty of the prison warden all this time, until they don't know what's going on there?" raka asked as soon as she finished wetting her throat.

"Of course." Adam raised both shoulders. "Maybe those who were watching were sleeping in the morning blind like that."

"It doesn't make sense! what good are they keeping watch if their service time is used for sleeping?" Raka grumbling.

"Then what's the point of you getting angry after everything happened?"

Raka scooped her face rough, what Adam said was indeed true.

"She died all the way to the hospital, and I came as soon as she finished getting treatment. It felt like God had outlined everything, he only lasted until I came" Adam continued.

"Then what did he tell you?" sambar Sultan as soon as he remembered the words of Adam in the hospital earlier. "You said he had the chance to say a will for the last time to you, right?"

Adam releases the hand of the Sultan which is still used to shake his shoulder.

"He asked me to offer his apology to Alma, his extended family and ...,"

"And what?" cut off the Sultan again.

"Especially to us, he apologized for his mistake of having betrayed our trust. And lastly, he asked us to give Alea a little affection because Reno did not have time to give affection to the princess alone wayangnya."

Back, the clear grains that had been pooled in the eye pelup, fell scattered like beads that broke the rope.

The three men were crying together, dissolving in each other's sadness in capturing precious moments with one person who just kept passing in their minds.

It feels like today will run long enough and be filled with tears of loss from those who never thought would let go of Reno in this way.

Their cries filled Adam's private room in his restaurant.

It wasn't easy for them to accept the fact that Reno left them in this fast time.
