The Hidden Love

The Hidden Love
News of the suffering (end)

The three men were still crying in a private room that Adam deliberately made for his personal needs on the second floor, his restaurant building.

Adam originally intended to use the room to simply straighten his back if he was struck by fatigue after working there, not at all expecting if they currently inhabit the room to mourn the departure of his childhood friend. And among the three of them, it was Adam's cry that sounded the most heartbreaking, how not, he was the only one who saw how Reno tragically died. Seeing Reno die right in front of his eyes with a million regrets made him stricken with endless misery.

One thing that makes Adam so sorry, he did not have time to grant Reno's last wish to meet with Alea, his only daughter, the fruit of his love with Alma.

"Norh ...." Adam roared, he continued to pull his hair violently.

"Calm down! I know it's very hard but think about it, at least Reno won't feel any more pain in this world. He also does not have to bear the moral burden of his actions. He's gone but it won't change anything, he's still the Reno we know before he died. We have a friendship since we were both still sitting on the bench of Kindergarten and this friendship will continue, until anytime," said Sultan, still trying to entertain Adam.

"You don't know how I saw him take his last breath." Adam looked at the faces of his two friends in turn. "She was so hard to talk earlier, let alone to talk to breathe she had to be helped with medical equipment." Adam was back together, his tears breaking.

"I'm just as beaten as you are, Dam. But really, don't keep going like this! my heart is breaking to see you cry incessantly all day." The Sultan embraced Adam's body which shook violently.

"I will always be here, we will go through all this together" added Raka, himself swept in the arms of two of his friends.

The Sultan really hated the moment as it is today, why tears must be a loyal friend who always accompanied the journey of their lives.

.

Raka flinched as soon as she heard the sound of a mobile phone vibrating on the table, making the drowsiness that was drowning her evaporate instantly. Stare at the Sultan who was still sitting with a distant view.

"Tan," called out to him as he elbowed his friend's arm.

"Sstht ...!" The sultan put his index finger right in front of his lips, coding Raka not to cause a commotion that could make Adam wake up.

Yes, after an incident of draining tears that lasted long enough to make the three exhausted, Adam finally fell asleep. The Sultan could breathe a little relief because at least Adam could rest his organs that continue to work hard throughout the day, even if only briefly.

The phone shook for the second time making the Sultan alert to grab it.

Her gaze and also Raka met each other once she saw the name listed on the screen.

"Jew."

Sultan's mouth was open but did not make any sound, answering the curiosity that was in Raka's mind.

The Sultan moved his finger, intending to take Raka out of the room. And again he had to use body language to not disturb Adam's rest.

"What's wrong?" raka asked as soon as the two had arrived outside the room.

"How's this? his wife kept calling him."

Sultan panicked, he did not know what to answer because later as soon as he picked up his phone, Ajeng would ask him a lot of things.

"Just say that we're together and tell him enough that Adam's okay and will probably be home late" Raka said.

Sultan nodded then immediately shifted the green icon on the screen of Adam's phone.

"Ha .. hello," he answered.

"It's Adam, isn't it? why is the sound different?"

The Sultan of distress regulated his breath, he swallowed his saliva chelate, why he was so afraid to answer the question from Ajeng.

"Look, I'm sorry Jeng, it's Hanum's husband."

"Lho why did you pick up the phone, Mas? where is Adam?" ask the teacher across there.

"He was in his room and his phone was left on the table, I ventured to pick him up for fear of making you anxious."

"Ooh, so he's in his room?"

"Yes, earlier he said there was a little problem with the monthly financial statements of his restaurant so he was in a hurry to leave until he forgot his phone. Sorry ...," great-grandson of the Sultan.

"Why even apologize, it's me who should apologize for interrupting your gathering time. I'm calling because since morning Mas Adam didn't give me any news so I'm a little worried."

"He's fine" said the Sultan.

"Yes, I hung up the phone first. Thanks and greetings to Hanum."

"Yes, I'll tell Hanum."

The phone connection was also cut off.

Sultan remembered his wife once he heard the name Hanum mentioned earlier, he remembered that he also did not send a message just to inform the girl. Certainly at this time Hanum was confused, just as Ajeng was worried about her husband's situation.

"Have you told Disha you were with us?"

"Of course, I called him as soon as you told me to follow you to the funeral this afternoon" Raka replied.

"Gosh, I forgot to tell Hanum, he must be really worried about me right now."

"Indeed you didn't try to contact him?"

Sultan nodded.

"Since morning?" cecar Raka's.

Again, the Sultan nodded.

"What kind of husband are you? always makes your wife panic. You know that pregnant women are forbidden to think a lot, it is not good for the growth of the baby in the womb" Raka said at length.

"My phone died as soon as I finished calling you because last night I forgot to charge the battery" the Sultan said.

"Then this whole morning what were you doing?" cecar Raka's.

"Where can I think clearly under these circumstances? I forgot that, huh? Holy jeez!" several times the Sultan punched his forehead.

"Yes, call your wife quickly! wait what else?"

.

"We had to drive her home first, it's impossible to let her go home by herself, right?" sultan said while glancing at Raka.

"What will we explain to his wife if she asks?" Raka looked at her friend's face.

"Let me explain it to Ajeng, later. Now help me get her body to the car!"

Raka nodded then they immediately carried Adam's body towards the parking lot.

"His body is small, his weight is my goodness" Raka lamented.

"That's why I'm asking you to help me because I'd be in trouble if I had to carry it."

"Eating a lot, weight is also amazing but why is his body still perfect like this huh?" Raka said it while chuckling.

"It seems he inherited the stature of his late father. His laughter will remain awake even though he eats greedily" the Sultan said.

The laughter of the two also broke apart together, they dissolved in an endless joke that was originally started by Raka. When else could they gossip Adam blatantly in front of the man. While Adam who was rummaging was unclear because he was drunk, of course, did not understand if the two friends who were carrying him were making themselves a topic of conversation.

Arriving in the car, Sultan asked Raka to drive while he sat in the back seat while looking after Adam.

The atmosphere of silence was again created, along the way they headed to Adam's house none of them opened their voices except Adam who was still delirious because he was drunk.

So sad Adam was left behind by his best friend, making him cry until he finished a few bottles of liquor. Thinking that way he could momentarily forget his sadness.

Sultan and Raka were not much different, they had filled his stomach with liquor but not as much as Adam, that's why they were not drunk.

Slightly hesitating the Sultan raised his hand to knock on Adam's door. She had prepared herself with all sorts of Ajeng questions later when the woman found her husband coming home drunk.

His heart raced faster as the footsteps from within sounded closer and closer. There was a sound coming from the door lock that opened and once the door leaf was wide open, as the Sultan had predicted before, Ajeng looked so surprised.

Five minutes later.

"What actually happened? didn't you tell me that my husband is fine and why after coming home with you, my husband is drunk? what are the financial statement problems that occur to make it like this? he's never been like this before," flocked Ajeng.

The Sultan and Raka were still silent, it was not yet time for them to open their mouths while the host was still talking.

"Why are you guys quiet? at least answer my question!" exciting Ajeng.

"I don't think you're done talking" the Sultan said.

"Already, I'm done talking and I've allowed you to open your mouth so please explain everything!"

"OK, first Adam's okay, he just needs a moment to be alone."

"Whatdidyou say? my husband is drunk and you're talking like this is the usual thing that happens to him?" Ajeng put on a look of dislike face as soon as he heard the Sultan's short speech.

"So this is ...,"

"Explain to me how he got drunk!"

Raka's body jumped when she heard Ajeng raise the volume of his voice and cut off the Sultan's words. Staring at him clinging to the face of Ajeng who was currently flushed with the anger that began to flare up in the woman.

The attitude that Ajeng showed when being angry was exactly the same as her husband, they complement each other and they are both a couple who clop, so Raka thought.

"The most important thing right now is to accompany him so that he doesn't feel lonely, I don't feel the need to say a lot of things because that's not my capacity. Let your husband tell you that in person so forgive us. Go to your room, accompany her!" the Sultan's voice sounded hoarse.

"We go first" said Raka.

After giving a little understanding to Ajeng, Sultan and Raka also resigned from the residence of Adam.

"They're really a matching couple, Tan," Raka said, opening her voice as soon as the two got back in the car.

"Why did you say that?" ask Sultan while focusing on driving. This time he's the one driving the car.

"You saw how Ajeng's face looked when he was angry? same with Adam when he's angry, right?" chirps Raka.

"You're right." Sultan smiled wryly imagining himself and Raka who had been hit by a burst of fire anger from Ajeng.

.

Encompassed by feelings of anxiety, Hanum still continued to pacing at the door of his house. It was forty minutes she waited from the time her husband had promised but until now there had been no sign of the man's return.

Burhan was equally worried, the old man was still faithful waiting for the arrival of his grandson by sitting on the sofa. He repeatedly corrected the location of the scarf and also the cloth used to cover the upper part of his body, to dispel the naughty wind that caressed his skin that had snorted.

"Grandpa should just take a break!"

Hanum again persuaded Burhan to have the old man return to his room. This was the umpteenth time he said so and Burhan still insisted on waiting for his grandson's return.

In any case he will not be able to rest in peace if he has not seen the true condition of the Sultan.

"Let me wait for him, I want to know what's the reason he's acting so unusual, today." Burhan grabbed his cup.

"Hanum had told grandfather that Mas Sultan was fine, it was also Mas Sultan had a phone call and said that he was fine, Cake. Grandpa heard it for himself, didn't you?" talk to Hanum again.

"Grandfather still couldn't believe it. Who knows if something has happened and he's trying to hide it from us" Burhan said.

Hanum longed, she herself could not hide her concern for her husband in front of Burhan, and if she herself was unsure of the Sultan's current condition, how could she have convinced her grandfather. There was no other way but to let Burhan do what he wanted, including if the old body shivered coldly to welcome his granddaughter home.

Hanum woke up from his daydream as soon as he heard the roar of a car engine that stopped in his yard. She walked quickly to open the door, impatient to see her husband's face.

Hanum's body froze because as soon as he opened the door of his house Sultan immediately grabbed his body into the man's arms. The smell of alcoholic beverages that emanated from the breath of her husband made her feelings more raging.
