"What's going on? why did you drink liquor, Mas?" Hanum broke away from her husband's confinement then stared intently at the Sultan's bead.
There was no answer he got because the Sultan just stood there without saying a word. The look in the man's eyes was so sad.
Hanum tried to find out through the depths of her husband's clear eyes but no matter how hard her efforts remained fruitless, she still could not figure out the problems that caused the drastic changes in her husband.
"Mas, don't shut up. You scare me," Hanum's great-grandson, now that his eye patch is full of clear liquid ready to slide at any moment.
"Have him come in, let him clean up first" Burhan said.
Hanum nodded, agreeing with his grandfather's words.
Slowly she took her husband by the arm and took him upstairs, where their room was located.
Hanum was so deft to take care of all the needs of her husband, starting from preparing warm water in the bath and then not forgetting to prepare a change of clothes for the Sultan. The routine he does.
As much as possible Hanum refrained from asking her husband many questions first, even though she herself was very curious about what really happened to make the Sultan quiet.
The hour hand felt so slow to turn, Hanum still tightly shut his mouth even though his hands continued to work.
He saw the Sultan who had only been stirring the contents of his plate without putting it in his mouth.
Without speaking, Hanum grabbed the spoon in her husband's grasp then like a mother who feeds her child, she did so.
"You can be sad, you can do whatever you want, but one thing! to be able to cry, be angry and do anything you have to have energy, so eat first!" persuade Hanum.
A spoonful of rice made it into the Sultan's mouth, the man according to open his mouth when Hanum thrust the spoon right in front of his lips.
Bribe after bribe is done by Hanum lovingly, and what makes Hanum feel like tattered is when she manages to feed her husband, always accompanied by melted tears that slide from the corner of the Sultan's eyes.
Hanum could only wipe away her tears, she still silenced her mouth, feeling like she had not gotten a good time to ask.
Once finished, Hanum poured a glass of water and a minute later the Sultan put the glass back to its original place.
"Is that how angry you are at me?" attack Hanum once his patience begins to erode.
It had been more than half an hour since the man in front of him had finished his dinner and he was still silent.
"You're mad at me just because I ate instant noodles this morning?" hanum. "Well, tonight, I'll throw away all the instant noodles in the kitchen!"
Hanum, who thought that the Sultan was currently silent because of the instant noodle problem this morning, also rushed to the hanging cabinet not far from the dining table.
Just now the girl was walking two steps later she turned her head, seeing the hand of the Sultan perched on her arm. The man then pulled Hanum and hugged his body tightly, with his position sitting at that time, the Sultan's head was only limited to Hanum's chest.
Hanum was even more confused because at this time her husband's cry broke, his voice sounding so heartbreaking. He may still be able to hold it because the Sultan has been trying to hold back his crying, but if it is like this he himself does not know what to do. He feels wrong.
"I'm not mad at you."
Hanum could hear her husband's trembling voice, the home dress she was wearing had even gotten wet by now.
"Then what? what makes you act so strange? You can tell me that, right? at least don't make me second-guess something I don't understand at all" Hanum said, softly.
"You know what happened that made me forget not to tell you?" Sultan looked up, he regretted having made his wife think a no-no.
"I'm ready to listen to your story" Hanum added, still in her soft voice.
.
Hanum placed a cup of handmade honey tea on the nightstand and then crawled up onto her bed, following her husband who was there first.
After the heartwarming moment that occurred at the dining table earlier, Sultan promised to tell Hanum his experience all day. Choosing their contest place becomes a comfortable place for him to tell stories.
Hanum clasped her husband's fingers tightly, her lips did not say anything but the look in her eyes hinted that she was ready to listen to all the complaints of her husband.
"Reno has died." the first sentence uttered by the Sultan sounded so heavy.
"What?" Hanum shouted in surprise. "Isn't he serving his sentence? how could he have died? what ...,"
"He was attacked by fellow prisoners" the Sultan said.
And that sentence again made Hanum shaken.
"Wait on! I still can't understand." Hanum changed her body position and approached her husband.
"Have you ever heard that a longer prisoner would be a leader or a king who could just as casually give orders to a new occupant?" The Sultan asked a question before he started his story.
Hanum seemed to think hard, before long he nodded.
"Yes, I've seen such events several times in soap operas" Hanum said.
"And it happened to Reno, the man told Reno to massage him but Reno refused strictly the senior's orders. Feeling his pride crushed, he would rather fight than have to be his senior moons in the cell."
"Then?"
"Since Reno has not mastered martial arts, his former thug opponents who have struggled with violence during his life are added again with their numbers, it is impossible Reno can beat them."
"So Reno's conclusion was in the crackle?" hanum asked in disbelief, then was taken in by the Sultan in answer to his question. "Anything from so many people who are in one cell is not there anyone who helps Reno?"
"Natural law, honey. Who is strong, who wins."
"Then he died on the spot, did he? what kind of prison guards are there?"
"There was actually one fatal cause that made him unable to survive."
"What's that?" Hanum could not hide his curiosity.
"I won't tell you" said the Sultan.
"If you don't want to say it, I'm still curious. Please tell me clearly!" hanum Cecar.
"The thing is I'm afraid you won't be able to listen to him." the man stroked the top of his wife's head.
"Don't make me more curious, let's say it! what exactly made Reno die?"
"Do you really want to hear it?" sultan asked, doubtful.
"Of course!" exclaim Hanum.
"Then a man vomited because he could not imagine it."
"I can, after all I wouldn't imagine it, so just calm down!"
For a moment the Sultan fell silent, letting Hanum repeatedly shake his hand as he could not wait to hear the continuation of the story.
"Mas" cried Hanum.
"He .., he died from an incision wound to his neck deep enough to make Reno bleed a lot. Good thing Adam can come on time there so he can be ...,"
"Stop! enough, don't go on. I was nauseous" said Hanum, cutting off her husband's words.
"Can? what I'm saying, you won't be able to hear it." The sultan shook his head.
Hanum had already smothered his mouth, feeling his stomach stir.
"Drink!" The Sultan offered the honey tea that Hanum had made to him.
Without a second thought, Hanum immediately received the cup and then gulped down its contents. Instantly his throat was warm and his nausea gradually disappeared.
"Actually who's going to entertain who? you made me tea, but in the end you drank it yourself" Sultan said.
"Not talk much! my head is suddenly dizzy."
Hanum spread his body and then raised the blanket to cover his body to the extent of the chest.
Just like his wife, Sultan also lay down beside Hanum and hugged the body of his favorite woman.
"I'm sorry yes, all day I must have made you anxious and miserably minded" whispered the Sultan while playing Hanum's hair.
"No want! I won't be that easy to forgive you. You've made me miss my sleep so don't expect me to be able to immediately apologize" Hanum said.
"Well, tell me what can I do to make you forgive me?"
"Relatedly? are you serious about what you say?" Hanum tried to find sincerity in her husband through the look in her eyes.
"Hm." Sultan nodded.
"Well then, I want you tomorrow don't bother me!"
"What do you want?" ask Sultan.
"Eat the instant noodles taste chicken curry that you threw in the trash this morning" Hanum explained.
"What's? instant noodles again? no, you can't!"
"I hardly ever eat instant noodles so just this once, huh? please," whine Hanum.
"No! once I said no, still not!"
"Yes already! don't go up on my bed! go there, Mas can sleep in the guest room" Hanum threatened.
"It doesn't work, you can punish me as you please and get mad at me but I'll never give you a single piece of instant noodles!" sultan resolutely.
"Evil!" Hanum yelled at her husband.
"Whatever."
"I hate you!" yell Hanum again.
"I don't care, you forgot what it means to hate?"
"I don't want to know!"
Annoyed, Hanum then turned his body and turned his back on her husband, and saw his wife's behavior increasingly make the Sultan intensified to tease her more.
"Hate it means really love, dear."
Fast as lightning Sultan tried to turn over Hanum's body then stole a kiss from his wife's thin lips.
Still angry, Hanum rubbed her husband's former lips violently and then pinched her husband's stomach.
