Hanum's body slumped down, leaning against the wall, crying stifled while burrowing his face in his kneecap.
He intended to break into his room after spending time in the park, his footsteps halted when he vaguely heard a fight that had occurred in the living room.
Feeling a little sorry for why he had to listen to everything, everything they talked about. She ended up crying in her hiding place.
Her night.
Hanum stuffed a few pieces of his clothes into the suitcase, leaving the Sultan who had just walked into the room, confused.
" What are you doing?" Sultan blocked his wife's wrist.
" I'm packing." he replied indifferently.
" packed? where are you going?"
" I need time to think, I need to calm down." Hanum deftly stuffed some personal items into his suitcase, putting them on top of his pile of clothes.
" Who am I?" The Sultan grabbed his wife's shoulder, looking at her sharply. " I'm asking you, who am I? until you don't feel the need to ask permission from me?"
Hanum looked down, not daring to look at her husband's face. He's still silent.
" Where are you going?" again, the Sultan asked.
" Home home."
" Where to go? isn't this your house?"
" I want to go back to Semarang."
" How long?" The sultan took his hand off his wife's shoulder, then sat on the lip of the bed.
" Don't know yet." Hanum was still standing where he stood.
" Week? a month? three months? how long?"
" It may be longer than you mentioned."
" What?" The Sultan rose from his seat, grabbed his wife's chin until the two looked at each other. " What does that mean that you want to go? you want to leave me?"
" I'm just afraid, I'm afraid that woman is more valuable than me. I'm afraid you need it more than I do."
" Good god." The sultan snorted in annoyance, throwing his face away. " Would we continue to argue like this? I've told you many times, between me and him there's nothing to do but friendship, nothing more. There was never any love in my heart for her, for all my love was only for you. You are the only woman I love, the owner of my heart. Is it still unclear? what language should I use to say it so you can trust my words? I'm really sincere, love you."
Silent for a moment, only the sighs of the two in the room sounded.
" I need to think, I need time to calm down. Let me go, after, I'll make a decision." Hanum grabbed her husband's hand.
" Don't go, please." said the Sultan.
" Just a week, I promise I'll be home. We can talk about this later once I get home, we'll sort things out. But now, I need time to myself mas."
" One Week?"
" Hm ..." Hanum nodded.
" Go! keep your promise, go home on time."
With a heavy heart the Sultan was forced to allow his wife to return to his hometown. To be honest he was not willing to part with Hanum, even if only for a moment, but how else.
.
Sunlight hit the body of the Sultan who was wearing his shirt next to the window. If only there had not been an important meeting this morning, it would have felt like he had stayed home. Spending time alone with his wife before the girl's departure. Unfortunately, his work in the office has been very piled up because the last few days he did not enter work. He did not even know if he still had time to just take his wife to the airport, the schedule was very tight all morning until later in the afternoon.
" I'll be busy all day, but I'm trying to get you to the airport" Sultan said, wearing his tie.
" There is no need to force yourself if you win busy, I can be among Mr. Dadang."
" What time is your scheduled departure?"
" Four o'clock in the afternoon."
" I still have meetings with clients at that hour, but I'm working on it."
Hanum thought that was just the Sultan's reason for not delivering his departure later.
She was still sitting at her dresser, her mind drifting somewhere, not realizing that the Sultan had said goodbye to her, kissed her on the forehead and left.
.
At exactly four in the afternoon, Hanum stepped foot into her husband's office building.
This time, he did not have to ask the receptionist who greeted him in the lobby the other day. She already knew where to go and where to put her husband's workspace.
Hanum immediately entered the room as soon as he got there, without knocking on the door. He was a little surprised when again he saw Mauryn there. The woman was sitting on the sofa with her legs crossed, Hanum glanced at the table containing a plastic bag of food she had brought for the Sultan.
" Hanum." said Mauryn.
" Hey." Hanum retaliates just that, he then takes a position by sitting on the sofa, facing each other with Mauryn.
He said he wanted to go to Semarang, how can he be here now. Mauryn.
" I heard you gave birth to a very beautiful baby girl, congratulations yes, sorry I haven't had time to visit you." Hanum opened his voice.
" Ah, no problem, I know you've just recovered from the accident that happened to you that time."
" Oh yeah, by the way what's your baby's name?"
" Yara." she said briefly, uninspired.
Far away he came to meet the Sultan, instead of meeting his rival. Mauryn still tried to be reasonable, although to be honest he was very uncomfortable sitting together with Hanum like now.
Hanum looked at his interlocutor at a glance, he could feel the heat starting to feel in the room even though the air conditioner there was working well.
" Chanu has loved children since childhood."
How dare he call my husband with his beloved calling in front of his own wife.
" She loves children, especially babies. He hasn't seen my son, and I'm sure, he'll love my son very much once he sees him."
Speak to your heart, say all the things that can make you happy.
" Have you checked with the doctor?" Mauryn looked at Hanum right in the girl's eyeball, making Hanum frown. " You've been married for over a year and you haven't had any signs of pregnancy in you yet, aren't you worried? go check with your obstetrician, who knows if someone has a problem with you. Who knows you're barren."
The last sentence spoken by Mauryn was enough to provoke Hanum's emotions, the girl clenched her hands. If only not thinking about the little baby that currently depended on the woman before him, it would be like Hanum punching the woman right in his chest.
Hanum laughed as soon as he realized his evil thoughts, never had he intended to hurt someone, just thinking about them had already made him laugh amusedly.
Not yet had he replied to all Mauryn's words, Sultan had entered the room followed Raka behind him.
The Sultan was surprised to see the two women already in his room, Raka was just as surprised to the point that she continued to stand staring at the door. She pulled the Sultan's shirt sleeve to make the man turn towards her.
" I go out first, something is left behind." whispered Raka.
In this world there are only two things more terrifying than seeing the third world war. First, dealing with pregnant women, second, seeing both women fighting over one man. Better get out, find it safe. Raka ran in a storm.
Sultan who realized the situation became increasingly gripping since the departure of Raka, he stepped his feet reluctantly towards the sofa.
Slowly, sitting his body beside Hanum, anxiety attacked him, what should he say this time. His efforts to convince Hanum have not been successful, and with the presence of Mauryn this time, can be even more burdensome later.
" Mad." Oh." Hanum flanking her husband's arms. " Just finished the meeting?"
" Yes, you ..."
" I didn't leave, I couldn't bear to miss being far from you" Hanum said, in a spoiled tone, leaning his head on the Sultan's shoulder.
The Sultan who saw the spoiled behavior of Hanum made him confused, as usual, should the girl would be angry if she saw the woman he hated coming to see the Sultan secretly in his office. But now, how could Hanum even behave so spoiled as if he wanted to show off his affection in front of Mauryn.
" My work is done, we can go home now" said Sultan.
" Wait!" prevent Mauryn.
" What's up?" Hanum.
" Chanu, I brought you your favorite grilled duck, this I cooked myself, especially for you." thrusting the plastic bag on the table to the Sultan.
Sultan was stunned, he looked at his wife alternately with Mauryn, obviously he did not want to accept the gift of the woman in order to keep his wife's feelings.
But again the Sultan was surprised by the attitude of Hanum who seemed so enthusiastic about receiving the package.
" Thank you" he said, throwing his sweetest smile at the woman in front of him. " It just so happens that I'm going to eat this, I open it."
As seconds the package was open, Hanum was so tempted to see pieces of golden black duck meat with a dressing of spices that had become caramelized that enveloped all parts of the meat.
Without waiting for long, Hanum had already stuffed the piece of meat into his mouth.
" Good." Hanum continues to devour it.
Making the Sultan's forehead wrinkled, he was inexhaustible, roughly what made his wife look very much enjoy the food Mauryn gave. Moreover, Hanum is not so fond of processed made from duck meat.
The Sultan and Mauryn only looked at each other to see Hanum who had devoured half of his flesh.
Hanum continued to bite the meat in his hand, for some reason it felt quite good to him. And just as he was about to put the meat again into his mouth, he suddenly felt his stomach uncomfortable. He then smothered his mouth, running towards the bathroom in the Sultan's private room in the room. The Sultan followed him, followed by Mauryn.
" Hoek .. hoek ..." Hanum spewed out the food he had just eaten.
" Hanum why are you?" nape Hanum.
" Hoek ... hoek ..." instead of answering, but Hanum still painstakingly pulled the liquid out of his mouth.
Sultan ran towards his study, he remembered before the meeting, an office boy made green tea for him and put it on his desk. He then gave it to Hanum, hoping that the tea could help relieve his wife's pain even though the tea was cold now.
" Drink."
Hanum received the cup, starting to slowly sip the contents. Giving the empty cup to her husband and reaching for a piece of tissue to wipe her lips.
" What are you doing?" Sultan stroked his wife's head. " hurt?"
Hanum shook his head slowly, he grabbed her husband's hand and pointed it right in front of his stomach.
" I'm not sick, this is all your son." Hanum glanced at Mauryn who was then standing behind her husband.
" Child?" the Sultan's lips trembled. " What do you mean?"
" I'm pregnant" she said spoiled while playing her husband's tie.
" Really?" The Sultan was aghast in shock, immediately hugging his wife as soon as Hanum nodded.
Hanum hugged her husband tightly, laughing as she heard her husband continue to say words of gratitude and repeatedly praised him and showered him with kisses.
Hanum blinked one eye at Mauryn who at that time looked so upset. Hanum laughed satisfied with the victory he had obtained by replying to the evil deeds that had been done by the woman against him.
This is only the beginning of the beginning, I make sure you will regret for having dared to disturb the peace of my life and also my husband all this time.
Mauryn stomped his feet on the floor, he was really annoyed to see the affection that was happening before his eyes. He went away from there, leaving those who were dissolved in happiness.
