The Hidden Love

The Hidden Love
Find a way out

"Since when?"

After a long time the two brothers sat down while enjoying the night view from the balcony, gliding also the question that had been stuck in William's heart.

"What?"

"Since when have you loved Raisa?" Repeat William.

"I don't know when myself, but obviously we love each other. I was so happy when I found out Raisa had the same feelings as me, too" Willmar said. "What do you think of Brother?"

"What?" William's forehead was successfully wrinkled, the man still did not know what the meaning of the words of his twin sister.

"According to Brother, are we compatible?"

"Of course, you'll be the most compatible couple in the country." There was a speck of happiness mixed with pain that seemed to slice William's heart.

"Don't you agree I'm marrying her?"

"Very agree" William chimed in.

"Thank you, brother," he said, hugging his sister.

"Hm. It's late, go to bed because early tomorrow we'll pick up Opa and Oma at the airport."

Willmar nodded. "I went into my room first, brother. You should sleep too."

"Yes." Yeah."

The fake smile that had framed William's face slowly faded, as Willmar moved further away. There was no more happiness that he could show his sister. The eyes full of enthusiasm had disappeared, turning very dim.

William raised his head, he closed his eyes, hoping that the clear liquid in his eyes would not fall. William was wrong. In fact, the clear details continued to fall even though he had closed his eyes tightly.

'I can't possibly snatch my own sister's happiness, moreover they both love each other. Oh my God ... Help me erase this love for the wrong person. I don't want to be the destroyer of my sister's household. I beg you, Lord ...'

William continued to change positions, it had been more than two hours the man climbed his mattress and during that time his eyes could not be compromised. Glancing at the clock hanging on the wall, the short needle was in the number two. William grabbed his phone. A smiling beautiful girl facing the camera greeted him as she scrolled the screen.

"I never thought I'd fall in love with a little girl like you. You'll cry and complain to me if Willmar teases you. Then I'd be happy to always give you the chocolate rations and ice cream that Mama gave me, to you. As I grew up, I realized that I had fallen in love with you. And, unfortunately I'm late. You'll be my sister's soon" William monologues.

The night crept up, but the sleepiness never came. William still kept staring at the portrait of Raisa in his phone. They are busy traveling when they were little. Raisa is the second daughter of Adam and Ajeng, her papa partner. William and Willmar spent a lot of time with Raisa, who was only two years under him.

Morning's approaching. A burst of orange light looks gracefully framing the sky. The sun was still timidly leaving its quarrel.

William had been neat with a long-sleeved blue dongker shirt which he combined with black cloth pants. While twisting the output watches of the world's leading watch manufacturers, his eyes are relentlessly watching the clock that continues to move.

"Sister," call Willmar.

"Yes, Deck."

"Are you ready yet? Mama's waiting for Papa below," he said.

"Yes, this is done. You go first, I'll catch up later."

"All right."

Willmar sat on the passenger bench while William was busy with a round object in his hand. Sultan and Hanum had already left in another car. Upon arriving at the airport, Arya and Ratih arrive.

"Mi, Pi."

Highlight the eyes of the Sultan full haru welcome the arrival of his parents. They also hugged each other.

"Just go home, Mi, or would you like to stop by breakfast first? It just so happened that we had not had breakfast either," the Sultan bargained.

"Darmi is not cooking?"

"Basak, Hanum also cooked a lot earlier, fearing that Mami would starve Papi."

"We'll just go home!" Aryan's Word.

"Opa and Oma just come with us, let Papa and Mama go out" Willmar joked.

"It's this old man but you're still naughty!" Arya patted her grandson's shoulder.

"Let me just bring Opa and Oma's suitcases," William took over two large suitcases that had been held by Ratih since then.

William and Willmar are twins, but they are very different. Like heaven and earth, like two polar opposites.

The elder William tended to be quiet, calm, mature and thoughtful. While Willmar is more like the mother, he is a cheerful and cheerful man and easy to express his feelings.

After eating breakfast together, now the big family was gathering in the family room. Of course to talk about Willmar's proposal.

"Excuse me for a minute, I need to call my secretary first to tell you I'm gonna be late for the office" William said.

"Yes, Ma."

Somewhat farther away, William placed the flat object in his ear.

"Love, please rearrange my schedule this morning, I happen to still have a family event and chances are I will just come to the office at ten o'clock."

"Good, sir." I heard Love saying across the street.

Clik.

Phone connection disconnected. William took a long breath. Somehow he felt like he wanted to be tried, but it was Willmar who should be nervous at this time.

"Can Opa start this conversation?" Arya opened her voice. Everyone nodded, preparing to listen to the old man speak.

"Your father called Oma, Papa said he said Willmar wanted to propose to a girl, is that right, Dek?"

The closest family did pin the call 'Dek' to the youngest Willmar.

"Yes, Opa," replied Willmar, timidly.

"Huh, it's big apparently you. It feels like just yesterday Opa was carrying you, changing your diaper while you were wetting your bed. Know now to marry."

"Opa," Willmar sizzled.

"Yes, Opa agrees with your choice. Opa heard that you love each other, moreover, we all know him well because he is your father's son. What about you, Sultan?" Fixing the location of his glasses, Arya stared fixed at the face of the child just his wayang.

"Hanum and I have talked about this Pi, and we have agreed to guide Willmar to the gates of his future" the man said.

"Well then, the decision has been made. Soon we will propose to Raisa to be the daughter-in-law of this family, but there is something Opa wants to tell you."

The faces of the people gathered there suddenly became serious. I can't wait to hear Arya's words.

"What is Pi about?"

"We are going to propose to Raisa, as soon as possible, but this marriage still cannot be done" Arya said.

"What's? Why is that Pi?" The Sultan and Arya still dominated the conversation.

"Our custom forbids if a sister marries before her brother. Papi just does not want to happen to you once again," explained Arya.

"But that was Pi's past, Sakti died because it was fate, not because he stepped on me" the Sultan said.

"Stay away. Papi knows the times are modern, but believe me ... Papi can't break what's already our custom."

"So how," Willmar interrupted.

"The proposal will go on, but to get married, you have to wait for your brother to get married first."

"Well!" Protest the brothers, compact.

"Opa, please ... The age is modern, the time still believes so," William spoke up.

"Whatever you say, obviously, Willmar will only get married after William gets married."

"Ah, why is it so complicated, Opa." Willmar was a little disappointed.

"That's your brother's business, Dek."

"Why me? Willmar can still get married, he doesn't have to wait for me" William said.

"Unfortunately this has become Opa's decision" concluded Arya.

"Yes, for a while we stopped here. Let Opa and Oma rest, later tonight we will discuss this matter again" Hanum suggested.

Everyone broke up. Arya and Ratih enter the room with Hanum and Sultan. Leave the twins in the room.

"How is this Brother?"

"You take it easy, I'll try to persuade Opa. I'll also ask Papa and Mama for help" William said.

"What if Opa insists on his stance? Brother knows very well what Opa is like."

"Sister think of a way out, you take it easy. Don't burden your brain with miscellaneous thoughts, I promise, no matter what happens you'll get married."

"Thank you, Brother. You're the best."
