90 Days Pursuing My Husband's Love

90 Days Pursuing My Husband's Love
Child Adoption (Chapter 77)

Everything was going well, my life was getting more and more filled with happiness. I visit Merry more often to just hold her baby named Naomi. No more news of Arnold or Viona. Both of them are like being swallowed by the earth.

Today, I choose to laze at home, because it is indeed Sunday. While Andreas himself this morning has gone out of the house somewhere. This past week, Andreas has been very busy. He often comes home late.

The wall clock shows at 10 am when the sound of the roar of the car is heard from the front yard of the house.

"It looks like Andreas's home."

I went to the living room and my steps stopped when I saw Andreas carrying a baby basketball bed.

'Is there a baby there?' my thinking.

Andreas approached with a smile on his lips. Slowly he put the basketball bed on the table, then lowered his head and pulled out a tiny baby with a pink blanket.

I came closer and looked at the baby. Her lips and cheeks were flushed, so tiny. I looked questioningly at Andreas. Without speaking or explaining anything, Andreas immediately handed the baby to me.

"This is our son. Take good care of him." Andreas Said.

With the baby in my arms, I still speak a thousand languages. Can't get a word out. Andreas held both of my shoulders and took me sitting to the sofa. Only then can I let out my voice.

"What does this mean? Who are the parents of this child?" I'm confused.

"This is our son. So we're both his parents, baby." Reply Andreas relax.

"Andreaasshad..." My little yelling made the little baby startle and wake up and cry loudly.

I panicked and didn't know what to do to stop her crying. Fortunately, Andreas immediately gave the baby milk in a pacifier bottle that he took from a baby bag with an image of an animated character. The baby fell silent and focused on drinking milk.

"I adopted this baby to be our son." Andreas.

I stared at the baby who was focused on breastfeeding. Her pretty and tiny face made me fall in love.

"Who and where are his real parents?" My toot.

My heart was slightly hurt when I asked that question. Because after all, that child is not my biological child. He is still someone else's son.

"His mother was a relative of an OB who worked in the office. He already has many children. Because the economy won't allow her to give this baby to me." Answer Andreas.

On one hand there are many couples who are waiting for the presence of a child in their household. But on the other hand, there are people who easily give up their children to others for inadequate economic reasons. Even worse, there are humans who throw their own flesh and blood because of the results of forbidden relationships.

After all, everything is God-given destiny. Just like it happened to me. I was destined not to be able to conceive, but was now given the opportunity to take care of a child my husband adopted.

"Thank you dear." I said to Andreas.

"Let's take good care of him. And, I want to name her Claudia. What say?" Ask Andreas.

"Claudia Arista Setyawan." My words made Andreas nod.

"What a beautiful name." Reply Andreas.

I started taking care of this baby girl with love. Sometimes I also take him to visit the house of Merry who also has a baby boy. I learned a lot from Merry how to take care of a baby. Although my feelings were so happy, but I also had time to give up and ask my husband to have a nanny because so much hassle alone taking care of Claudia.

Until 5 years passed....

In the morning before taking a bath, we sunbathe together and give her milk, and then take a bath. After that we played together and he slept for about 1 hour. When Claudia sleeps, I prepare lunch or clean the house, after waking up continued snack time and lunch. Before taking a nap we would play or read a storybook. In the afternoon of course shower and gather with his Papa. At night sometimes he eats dinner or only drinks milk. Before going to bed Claudia brushes her teeth, changes her clothes and continues to play in the room until she falls asleep.

That is our routine at home. Andreas works, I take care of Claudia and the house. I left my job at the office to take care of Claudia. I still monitor all the work from home, besides everything is taken care of by Andreas.

When Claudia is asleep, my husband and I will. This is an important moment to recharge energy that has been drained for the day. We will express things that are considered burdensome and plan things that we will do in the future, especially about parenting. It's great to be a complete family after Claudia's presence. Supporting each other is the key to happiness.

The past few months, I've seen a change in Andreas. He comes home late at night, or suddenly leaves the house on holiday. But, I can still think positively, 'maybe the work is getting more.'

Tonight we lay together in the room, while Claudia now has her own room. Claudia grew up to be a beautiful and smart child. I'm getting proud of him. But one thing was a question in my mind. The larger, Claudia's face increasingly showed a resemblance to Andreas.

'Is it possible that he is the son of Andreas?'

All this time, I used to ask Andreas where Claudia's mother was. But Andreas always said that his mother had moved to another province. This time I'll ask back. And I hope Andreas wants to speak honestly.

"Darling..." I said with my head lying on Andreas' chest.

"Hmmm...." Reply Andreas.

"Can I ask you a question?" My toot.

"Of course." Andreas's reply was brief.

"Who is Claudia's mother?" My toot.

Andreas sounded like he was breathing heavily.

"How many times do I have to say that her mother is..."

"I knew. You've explained it often. But, can you answer why Claudia's face looks like yours?"

Andreas immediately got up, and headed for the bathroom.

'What's wrong with her?' my thinking.

I sat on the edge of the bed and waited for Andreas to come out of the bathroom.

Before long Andreas came out, regardless of me he immediately lay on the bed and pulled the blanket to cover his head.

"Andreas... Answer me." I pulled the blanket.

"Honey, let's talk about this next time. I'm tired." Andreas then pulled the blanket back to cover his head.

I'm silent, there's nothing I can do right now. Let Andrew sleep because he may be exhausted. But, I will not give up until I find the real answer.

Seriate....
