Married (Chapter 65)

The journey is quite long, full of obstacles and accompanying tears. God gives so many trials. However, I continued to rise and hope that there would be happiness behind all the suffering God had given me.

After feeling like so long into this life. Eventually one of these dreams will come true soon.

Many people say, people who are going to get married there are only trials and obstacles. So do I. But, I prefer to call it a challenge rather than a trial, just limited to office work that never ends.

The first challenge is because of the presence of Arnold who is always trying to separate me and Andreas. Our previous marriage plans also failed because of Arnold. Until finally making Mama Andreas and other families want a simple marriage in order to get together with relatives who are quite far in the near future. With a limited time, Andreas and I immediately rushed to prepare the things needed for my own dream wedding.

I am so grateful that Andreas has always been willing to accompany me for all sorts of preparations for our wedding. Because this time, I really wanted to set it up myself. He always faithfully accompanied me to prepare everything every day.

"Honey, why not leave everything to the wedding organizer." Andreas said when I asked him to prepare small things.

"I really want to do everything myself. I want everything to be perfect. Our marriage will not be celebrated. I'll only invite family members, right?" My protest.

Starting from decorations, dresses, invitations, wedding souvenirs, to catering matters I choose myself.

I really prepared it in detail. Even for a bouquet of flowers, I chose it myself. I would love to have my own bouquet of flowers from durable materials so that it can be a memento. Finally I ordered a bouquet of red roses from satin.

After a few days, the wedding preparation business is finally perfect. Waiting for the day while preparing physically and mentally.

Thankful for getting help from family members and friends like Jack, Angelica and Merry. Especially Andreas who always accompany and support whatever I do.

This morning, the weather felt so supportive of our wedding which was carried out in the open space that is the beach. I woke up early to get ready. This time, I chose not to wear the services of a bridal fairy. I'd like to do it myself.

I sat in front of a mirror in a hotel room on the beach and started to smear my face. There was the sound of the hotel room door being knocked.

"I, Andreas Setyawan will make Velicia my wife. I sure chose Velicia because I felt comfortable. I knew Velicia would be loyal to me and Velicia was my true love.

On this special day, before God and all the witnesses of our marriage, I promise to always be by Velicia's side as a faithful husband. I smiled happily because finally the wedding today really went smoothly without any obstacles.

Dinner and entertainment began. The guests who attended our wedding congratulated us.

Just as we were dancing, there was a noise coming from the area where the banquet was eating.

"What's wrong?" I asked Andreas after stopping our dance.

"I don't know either." Reply Andreas.

A person wearing a black shirt seemed to go berserk and destroy all available food.

"Who is he?" Tanyaku.

"Velliciaaaa...." Shouted the man who instantly made my voice growl.

My eyes widened when I saw the figure of the man turned out to be Arnold. I grabbed Andreas' hand. Fear began to spread in my body when I saw the look in Arnold's eyes that were so scary.

"You can't just leave me alone, Velicia." Shouted Arnold again as he walked closer to me and Andreas.

In Arnold's hand was a firearm that made me panic even more. I'm sure everyone seemed panicked when Arnold started pointing the gun at Andreas.

"Stop Arnold. Are you out of your mind?" Shouted Jack.

"Silent. You're all quiet." Shouted Arnold again.

"Sir Arnold...."

"You are silent too. You have no right to speak. You're not my sister..." Hardik Arnold on Angelica.

Angelica was silent. From the look in his eyes I could feel that he was so hurt by what Arnold said.

The figure of the Great Lord Setyawan walked up to Arnold. However, unexpectedly. Arnold turned the gun to Papa himself.

"Stay there Old Man. Otherwise, I'll shoot you." Threat Arnold.

The voices of everyone who was so shocked.

"Arnold, listen to Papa carefully...."

"I don't want to listen to you anymore. All this happened because of you. Today the woman I love is married to my brother. If it wasn't for you stopping me from coming here, then I could have foiled this marriage." Shouted Arnold.

"You're right. I was crazy. I'm crazy because of you. So, I will never let you be happy over my suffering. You can't marry anyone but me. Therefore, this man must die." Arnold said as he turned his gun back to Andreas.

My knees are shaking, my tears are falling. One time if Arnold pulls the trigger, it's over. My head suddenly got dizzy. I can't understand the situation around me.

The sound of gunfire sounded deafening.

"Tidaa.kk...." I shouted, followed by the shouts of others present.
