22. Terrified

The next day seemed strange...

Claudia has been acting strange since the morning. Adam also looked curious and confused. The girl got up early last morning and went with Adam to run off in the morning acting like a good girl. She also had breakfast on time and did not say anything she kept quiet. And as usual Adam also drove him to campus. Throughout the journey Claudia also remained silent.

At 01:00 pm Claudia was called by the Dean to go to her room. Claudia was a little worried. He didn't fight with anyone, nor did he ditch his class. Claudia thought all the way as she headed towards the Dean's room then knocked on the door and entered into it.

After entering the Dean's room, Claudia's eyes caught the figure of a man sitting opposite the Dean. Claudia was only able to see the back of the man, but she was already very able to guess who the man was.

'Why is he here again? Does he have a job in the office? Why is he always there wherever I am? Basic stalker.' Claudia said inwardly before bowing her body towards the Dean.

"Let's see. We've got big news to be announced on the entire campus. But before that, Mr. Adam wants you to know first. Then I called you here." Speak Dean.

Claudia was curious now.

'What would Adam like to announce to the entire campus? Does he want to tell the whole campus that I'm his wife? Oh no, no, no. He wouldn't have planned such a thing, would he?' Claudia kept thinking.

Adam looked at Claudia, trying to guess what she was worried about. Adam smiled in his heart.

"Look, actually, Mr. Adam will join us on campus as a guest lecturer who will teach you about English. All students must attend the class that Mr. Adam will lead. Remembering in this day and age English is very useful and useful for anyone, no matter where or whatever work. Mr. Adam will come every day for two hours. And your class schedule is on week three, Wednesday and Friday." The Dean explained.

Claudia was shocked from the inside.

But, the strange thing was, Claudia did not look at Adam in the least. He did not even show his surprised expression to the Dean as well as Adam. Claudia simply nodded, then said, "understand sir. I will remember it in my head, thank you. Can I go now?" Ask Claudia.

Adam was obviously very surprised. He hoped that Claudia would react violently and very angrily with all of this. Adam was very sure, that Claudia would not easily accept all of this. That was the reason why Adam asked the Dean to tell Claudia everything first rather than all the students. But Claudia's reaction was out of Adam's expectation.

The Dean then announced it to the entire campus which was immediately excited. Both the Lecturers and their students all looked surprised as well as delighted.

The girls on campus looked so happy. They are like they believe what they hear. They started talking to each other, discussing about their dreams in the future. But it wasn't really a dream, they all started planning how to attract the richest man and the most handsome bachelor in the country. How to tease him. How to talk to him. Everyone seemed to be browsing on the internet about Adam. How great it is in English.

After meeting the Dean and his beloved wife, Adam returned to campus. He was still thinking about the weirdness of the response that Claudia had given earlier.

Adam was standing looking out the glass wall of his room, staring at the lively street smoothly when he got a phone call from Fendi, his personal bodyguard.

"Master, your wife, Miss Claudia Wijaya. He was spotted at the international airport two minutes ago carrying a passport and a suitcase in his hand. Miss is at the departure terminal."

"WHAT? WHAT'S HE DOING THERE? WHERE'S HE GOING?" Adam shouted when he heard the news reported by his bodyguard.

"Don't worry sir, I'll look for the information as soon as possible."

"No. First block all access exits from the airport. I'll be there right now." Adam's orders while taking the keys to his car on the table and then rushed out of the office.

Within half an hour, the airport was blocked. Claudia did not know how to react to the emergency announcement of the security issue. People looked shocked and frightened. What made the airport blocked because of emergency security. People were terrified and thought that the airport was being hijacked.

Claudia, who was sitting, was suddenly approached by two men dressed in black carrying her to the security room. At first Claudia felt so confused, but she finally realized what happened when she saw Adam in the room.

Claudia bit her lip the first time she saw Adam in the room. Adam looked at him with anger. The people who were inside the room including the security guards came out leaving Claudia and Adam alone.

Adam sighed then punched the hard wall in frustration and full of anger. Claudia closed her eyes this time. Adam took a cigarette out of his pocket and lit it. He's not talking a bit now. The current atmosphere made Claudia nervous and very frightened. He never thought that Adam would have this much power. Claudia kept gulping.

Adam finished his cigarette in less than a minute, then walked closer to Claudia.

Claudia felt increasingly scared and slowly walked back as Adam got closer to her. Until his back hit the wall.

Adam drew closer, and the next second he pushed his body towards Claudia and made his head lean against Claudia's neck. He did not raise his head even until the moment he started talking.

"You can't run away from me, my dear. It won't be that easy. I'm the boss here. I hate it when someone tries to take mine and take it away from me. And until the three months are over, you're MINE. Never again try to make a stupid decision like this moment forever. Or, the punishment will be worse than you imagined." Adam then kissed Claudia's neck violently and left a bluish mark there.

Claudia sculpting. He was very scared and angry. Claudia was curious as to what punishment she would get this time. Is this blue mark on his neck or more than that.

Claudia tensed.

The car stopped somewhere that everything looked dark. Claudia looked around the place from inside the car, but could not guess where she was. Fendi opens the car door for Claudia, who drives the car herself. Adam immediately returned to the office after the airport, while Claudia was escorted home by Fendi.

"What is this place Fendi? Where'd you take me?" Claudia asked who looked a little scared.

"I'm just following Mr. Adam's orders, Young Miss. Master asked me to drive you here." Answer Fendi.

Claudia still looked confused. Fendi directed him down to that dark place. Claudia could not see anything in the dark. He could only sense that he was on the field or whatever it was in the open. Because Claudia could realize very clearly that there was no tall building or anything in that place.

Claudia tripped over something hard. Like a rung or whatever it is made of cement. He was doing something hard. He looked around again and finally chose to crouch down to find out where he was. Claudia finally guessed where she was at this moment.

A funeral.

Claudia's eyes bulged.

"Fendi... What kind of prank is this? I'm gonna kill your boss. Get me out of this place right now." Claudia shouted at the man but did not get any response.

Claudia looked around and found no one there, including Fendi. Claudia became increasingly fearful and her body shivered. He even felt a cold air blowing in his ears. It made her even more frightened. Yes, it is true. Claudia is afraid of ghosts.

There are only two things that Claudia fears in this world, namely ghosts and snakes. And Adam Wijaya only found out a few days ago. How could he not use this opportunity to give a punishment to Claudia. So he's doing it now.

His plan to punish Claudia right now had indeed become so cruel. The girl was frightened and kept on cursing. Adam was actually in that place looking at his wife not far from there.

Based on Claudia's view, she could see that she was already surrounded by ten to twenty zombies, which attracted her to take her away to their world. And that was what made Claudia finally faint from thinking about it.

Adam ran up to Claudia and raised her body like a newlywed. They returned home at 09:00 p.m. Claudia didn't say anything until they got home. He still looks scared.

On the other hand Adam was very fond of this because Claudia who kept holding her hand tightly since he woke up from fainting to date. Claudia did not even want to eat dinner, even Nila to the point of bribing her with her hand that continued to tightly hold Adam's hand. His face was so pale and frightened.

Adam kept trying to hold back from smiling and kept looking cold. After dinner he walked upstairs with the girl still curling her hands into Adam's arms. Adam arrived in front of Claudia's room and opened the door and said...

"Get in your room and go to sleep. Tomorrow you have to go to college, remember that."

Claudia did not hear what Adam said at all, because she was still terrified. He then entered the room and closed the door quietly.

At about 12:00 p.m., Adam was sleeping on his bed when he felt the breath of someone above him. Adam opened his eyes and found a girl with round eyes with thin lips and very white cheeks on top of her.

"Woooaa.... What are you doing here." Adam sat down in a position of self-protection.

Adam then realized that it was his wife. The girl looked at her husband in silence.

"I'm just checking if you're asleep." Claudia said in a soft voice.

Adam looked at his wife.

"Why? Why do you suddenly want to check on me?" Ask Adam.

"I came here to sleep with you."

"WHAT?" adam shouted in surprise.

Realizing that the word she used was wrong and the intent her husband had captured, Claudia immediately shook her head violently.

"No. I mean, I want to accompany you to sleep here. In this room, in this bed." Claudia explained.

"But why? I don't need company." Adam then realized what the reason was and pretended to look confused.

"I think you must be lonely from sleeping alone. It's so bad to sleep alone, with no one near you. You must be scared in this room alone, too. So come here. Don't worry, I'm already here. Don'tbeafraid. Let's go to sleep." Claudia said while patting the pillow beside Adam and sitting down.

It was very difficult for Adam to hold the expression on his face.

"No, honey, I'm not afraid of ghosts or anything. You can go and sleep in your own room. Until you sleep with me for that purpose." Adam said teasingly.

"Waaaaaaahh, never will. Basic pervert. I just want to be nice to you. I know you deny everything to cover up your powerful aura. But you're actually scared, so just keep your mouth shut and go to sleep. If you still feel uncomfortable, you can hold my hand. That's if you want to." Claudia tried to speak in a normal tone.

Adam wanted to pinch his wife's cheek, which was acting adorable, but he didn't.

"Darling, all I'm afraid of now is that you're gonna rape me. That's all it is."

Claudia widened her eyes, looking incredulous at what she heard.

"Basar you old man. Stop being so perverted like that. I'll never touch you." Claudia Shouts. "And I'm still your wife until now. Why do you still feel uncomfortable and refuse to share a bed with me. Ah, let me guess, your lady out there will be mad at you right. Well, you're scared of it."

Claudia's next words could not he continued because Adam had kissed her lips. Adam immediately dropped Claudia's body onto the bed, touched her entire body violently and turned to kiss Claudia's neck violently. Claudia can't fight back.

"Dam, stop. I didn't mean it that way." Claudia.

"You remind me yourself that you are my wife. So I'm gonna do what I'm supposed to do with my wife at this hour." Reply Adam.

"No, no, no Dam. Please please. I only came here because I was afraid to sleep alone in that room. Please don't torture me." Pinta Claudia's.

Adam eventually stops making out for Claudia, but she doesn't even get up from Claudia's body and puts her head around Claudia's neck.

"I don't mind you sleeping here for no reason. I'll be very happy."

Adam then kissed Claudia's lips one last time.

"I'm sorry Di. The punishment I gave seemed too excessive. But you're acting so naughty so..."

"It was Endra's idea to get me out of this country." Claudia cuts off Adam's words. "I've been mad at you since yesterday."

I don't know why Claudia feels comfortable and safe now.

Claudia is trying to escape from this country but it is not only for her own ideas and desires. The night after his fight with Adam, he called Endra again and told him all his frustration over the phone.

Endra actually thought that Claudia was living restrainedly in Adam's house. So he advised Claudia to run away. Claudia also thought that it was a very good idea. But, as she stood in the baggage checking area at the airport, Claudia felt that what she was doing was a mistake. Claudia did not know what that feeling was, but the obvious one in the corner of her heart that was gasketing deeply, she felt the pain of imagining it to go away.

He felt uncomfortable going abroad without being noticed by Adam.

Claudia was thinking about the other decision but when she realized everything, she was already taken into the security room and everything turned chaotic.
