30. Claudia

Adam looks like he's in a mess right now. He just kept pacing back and forth in the living room with a face that looked panicked. Naomi and Erik seemed busy with their phones calling this and it was as Adam instructed. Adam also seemed busy calling. But since then, the person he called did not answer his call.

Erik looked very, very scared. He worked with Adam for 5 years. He's never seen that CEO with his face panicked for anything in all this time. Yes, Adam did lose his cold aura and his always expressionless face now turned worried and so anxious.

Naomi finished with her phone call and moved closer towards Adam. But still trying to contact someone.

"Dam, we found the location. The phone's off, but we're going to go to the location where the phone died. You relax. We'll go there, we'll handle everything." Naomi.

"Share the location to me, and come with me." Adam said as he walked out quickly followed by Erik and Naomi.

"Dam, listen to me. You better stay here, let us take care of everything. Your feelings are not calm." Naomi again asked Adam not to leave, but the man had already walked into the car.

Adam clucked in annoyance.

"She's my wife, do you think I'm going to hurt her because of the temperament I have." Adam's voice that sounded to give emphasis. "Get in the car right now. I don't have much time." Adam said as he turned on his car engine.

After driving for an hour towards the southern part of the city, they finally arrived at the location. They arrived at a small street, rather a small alley. Street light with dim light. No business areas are open. And it's still 6 p.m. by evening. It wasn't so late, but the alley was still so quiet.

Adam looked towards Naomi.

"There's a shop. From his phone, the last time he was here. It's still around 04:00 in the afternoon. Then after that it's back to death." Naomi.

Adam wasted no time and went straight into the store. The shop is an antique shop. There are some display cabinets and shelves that feature some antique objects. It could be jewelry and something else.

Seeing a man wearing a luxurious suit accompanied by two people behind him, a shopkeeper man walked up to Adam and bowed politely.

"Good afternoon by evening, sir. Tell me what I can help you with. What kind of thing do you want?" A bald and fat man asked Adam.

Adam said nothing, his eyes busy looking at every inch of the room.

'What is Claudia doing here? He wanted to buy something from this place. But everything here is fake. Did he buy anything. No, it's impossible. I haven't received a notification from his credit card, if he did use it. Then, where did he go after this?' All these questions came to Adam.

Meanwhile, Naomi shows Claudia's photo to the shopkeeper.

"Listen to me Sir. Look at this photo carefully. Based on the information we got, this girl visited this store around 04:00 this afternoon. Can you tell us what he's doing. Or did he buy something from here? So where did he go after that? Did he go alone or did someone accompany him?" Naomi asked.

The shopkeeper stared at the image of Claudia that appeared on Naomi's phone screen, then laughed.

"Yes, yeah... He did visit here this afternoon. He was with a man and said that the man was his lover. And he wanted to buy her an antique watch for her lover, as a gift. Haha... The young man is really... They are both very loving couples." The shopkeeper replied.

Adam who looked busy looking around the place walked over towards the shopkeeper by raising his eyebrows after hearing what the bald man said.

"Did he buy it?" Adam asked, moving closer and closer towards the man.

The shopkeeper looked puzzled as Adam walked closer and closer towards him.

"Well, of course he bought it. The items here are very difficult to refuse to collect." Said the man answering.

Adam is getting closer.

"Oh yeah? Then how did he pay for it? What about credit cards, or cash?"

"Hmmmmm of course cash. Hahaha where there are people who come to buy antiques with cash. Haha."

The bald man was getting nervous. He wondered why he had been interrogated like this.

"Then, where did they go?" Adam asked this time with a cold face and eyes so sharp.

"Emmm, they went for a date afterwards. Yah... Young man." Answer the bald man again.

Adam stopped asking and took two steps back. After that he flicked his finger once, quickly a few men wearing all-black clothes, entered the shop very quickly.

The man who was fat and bald was suddenly afraid. The man before him was showing his power.

Adam again walked closer to the bald man, and without warning, he immediately pulled the collar of the man's shirt neck tightly and very strongly, then strangled him. The bald man began to have difficulty breathing, his face began to turn blue. Adam's eyes showed anger.

"Where is he?" Adam asked in a voice that sounded so scary.

After reaching the door, he then hit the padlock on the door with the vase. After that Adam tried to kick the door. What he saw from behind the door was completely intolerable at all. It made his heart beat very fast. His face was full of anger.

There was the girl he had been looking for all day, lying on the dusty floor. With his hands tied back using a rope, his mouth clogged with cloth, his head bleeding, his face so flushed, signifying that he was beaten and slapped several times. Not only that, his knee was also injured, the clothes he was wearing were already very torn. His face was also on the floor.

Adam hugged her very tightly. Claudia could feel that Adam's body was shaking violently. After a while, the two let go of their embrace. Adam then carried Claudia's body to bring her out of the room.

Outside the room, Adam's men arrested four others and tied them all up with ropes, including the shopkeeper in the corner of the room.

Adam lowered Claudia slowly. Then took a handkerchief from his pocket and rubbed Claudia's dusty face as well as her tears. Adam did it carefully so as not to hit the wound on Claudia's forehead.

Adam then rubbed Claudia's hair.

"What's going on?" Ask Adam gently.

Claudia looked surprised.

'So he doesn't know what happened yet. Even though it had beaten up the men blindly just for my sake?' ask Claudia inwardly.

Then he started explaining everything.

"I passed this shop and a bracelet stole my attention. So I intend to buy it for a hundred million. But I finally realized that the stuff here was all imitation. So I refused to buy it and put my credit card back in the bag. They probably saw the platinum credit card I had. As I walked out of the store, they confronted me. The fat bald man said, that I should buy it just because I saw it. They started forcing me to pay. And of course I refused, so they started beating me. Of course I fought back, but since I was outnumbered, they managed to take my credit card and ask for his pin. But I didn't give it. Then they started beating me. The guy over there even tried to..." Claudia's words came to a halt, she sounded like fear.

Adam held his hand very tightly.

"What is he trying to do?" Adam asked in a cold voice.

Claudia lowered her head and gulped before replying.

Claudia looked so scared. He knew that Adam was so powerful and powerful, but all this was too much.
