Return to Ternate (Chapter 26)

3 Months after major surgery, my condition started to improve. Although, I still have to take painkillers that sometimes still come on suddenly. In addition, the doctor also gave me drugs that I must drink every day to suppress so that the cancer does not return to my body.

After that, Jack and I got off the plane and changed planes. This time we chose to use a private jet. To be more comfortable and quickly arrive in the city of Ternate.

Until finally after a while we arrived in the city of Ternate, my hometown.

"Finally we arrived" I said with excitement..

"Yes, how are you feeling?" Ask Jack.

"I'm doing fine. You shouldn't have to drive me here. I can do it myself." I said.

"Here you go, I just want to make sure that my little brother is safe until his destination. Now let's go home. After making sure everything was good, I'll go right back. There's still a lot of work to do." Reply Jack.

"Jack's.... You can come back now." My speech.

I feel bad for having troubled Jack.

"You want me to come back right now? Well, how can you not let me rest first at home." Said Jack with a made-up look as if sad because I was being kicked out.

"Yes, it's up to you. Let's go."

That night Jack went straight back to his house in the next town after making sure everything I needed was available.

I decided to have dinner outside the house. At a restaurant I used to go to. Coincidentally, unexpectedly. I met Arnold. He looked at me with a strange look.

"You who?" arnold asked me as we passed by the restaurant entrance.

I didn't comment on Arnold's words, he just passed by leaving me standing there. Arnold doesn't seem to remember me anymore. He must have forgotten me.

I returned home after finishing my dinner. Suddenly my phone rings. Showing my former father-in-law's name.

"Velicia, Arnold has been forgetting you since after the wedding day. She and Viona are not getting married." The Great Lord Setyawan.
