Chapter 78 S2. Operation Gafi

Sitting in a waiting chair in the operating room. She was agitated and worried, hearing the news of her husband Gafi's corneal eye surgery. He prayed that everything would be okay. Finally, the doctor came out of the operating room and Dita looked at him with a sharp gaze.

"I have good news for you" said the smiling doctor.

"W-what?" tanya Dita hesitated.

"The operation was successful. His cornea is well-attached" the doctor said.

Dita felt relieved, her tears falling down her cheeks. "Thank you very much, Doctor. I don't know how to thank you."

"Either. Gafi is still under intensive surveillance, so you can't see him now. However, you can meet him tomorrow.”

Dita nodded with a smile. Yuni and Reno hugged her daughter in gratitude. So did both of Gafi's parents. They immediately bowed in gratitude when the doctor said that the operation was going well.

After being allowed to swipe her husband, Dita felt happy and excited. Gafi was still lying on his bed, but it already looked much better. Dita sat next to him and held her husband's hand.

"How do you feel, brother?" ask Dita while smiling.

"Feel better now" Gafi replied slowly.

Dita hopes Gafi can heal quickly, but she knows from previous experience that healing takes longer. Dita can still feel fear when she has a car accident that befell her and her husband that causes blindness for Gafi.

"They put the cornea from the donor into my eye. I don't know what to say but thanks to the donor" Gafi said.

"Of course I know that. How does it feel now, brother?"

"My eyes are still foggy, but I will improve my vision every day" he said optimistically.

"That's because it has just finished surgery, after all it may be due to the influence of bandages that are still attached to the eye" replied Dita.

He looked at the window and was fascinated by the sunlight shining brightly outside. He let out a long sigh recalling everything that had happened in the past few days. After a few minutes of silence, he clasped Gafi's hand.

"I never thought of experiencing it, which happened to us. I was so happy when I saw Brother continue to struggle to recover. You're always happy with my life."

Gafi clasped his wife's hand tightly back. "I've done it not to worry you or sorrow you, but I've chosen to do it to improve myself and my life with you."

"Thank you for being patient with me. You mean so much to me and I feel so lucky to have you as my life partner, sister," Dita said, kissing her husband's forehead.

"I've always felt the luckiest woman in the world, brother. I have a very patient husband. What else in my body is the seed of our love" said Dita.

Gafi stretched out his hand to touch Dita's stomach. She was happy because she finally had a donor, so she could see her baby's face after she was born.

Gafi smiled happily. He felt lucky to also have Dita, who was always by his side under any circumstances. Dita did not say much but her husband could feel love in the look in her eyes.

They continue their conversation, recall their happy memories together, and tell stories about their future plans with the children.

Gafi realized that he was grateful to still be alive and to have his wife immortal in his heart. He knew he would always give all the best things in his life to Dita and their future children, and was grateful to always have and get the love and support of his wife in every struggle.

Meanwhile Axel and his parents accompanied by mama Nazwa came to propose to Syifa's house. Dita's best friend's family welcomed the proposal with pleasure. The wedding will be in one month.

They are currently on their way to the hospital after the application is over. They wanted to know the current state of Gafi.

The whole family went straight into Gafi's ward. Currently in the room there is only Dita who faithfully accompanies. Dita asked both her parents and in-laws to return home.

As soon as Axel and the rest of the family came, Dita was so happy. She hugged Rachel.

"Mama, Brother Gafi will see again soon," said Dita sobbing because of haru.

"Alhamdulillah, dear. Mama is happy. Mama heard you were also two-bodied. Congratulations, take care of your health. Now there's one life with you, one life with you" said Rachel.

"Thank you, Ma" replied Dita. His eyes were on Axel. Dita then releases her hug with Rachel. Then get close to Axel.

"Congratulations Axel. May all be glued until H day. Sorry, I can't attend" said Dita.

"Thank you, Dita. I understand your situation. Congratulations also to Gafi, and you because soon Gafi can see again. You'll also have a baby" Axel said.

The two embrace each other. Maybe as a friend. There is no love other than loving each other. They've been shaking each other. Love does not have to have each other.

"Sometimes, in life we have to learn to be sincere and let go. Describe what has passed, and let go of what should have gone. Being sincere is not only about letting go. But sincerity is a condition in which we release without any burden in the heart. In life, sometimes you have to accept that not all hope comes true. And all you need is the courage to let go."
