Chapter 28 S2. Persuading Dita

Gafi sat on the terrace kos Dita, restless waiting for the arrival of Dita. Today Gafi wants to talk to Dita, as she will graduate as a scholar. However, there is one thing that makes him not calm, namely Dita has not given certainty whether to attend the graduation event or not.

As Gafi was thinking, suddenly a motorbike sounded. He saw Dita get off the ojek online. Gafi could not pick up because there was a need.

"Hey brother, has it been a long time?" greet Dita with a smile on her face.

"It's only been half an hour" replied Gafi.

"Sorry, for making Gafi's sister wait. Though Brother can come in the afternoon, why should it be this hour?" ask Dita again.

"I came to hear an answer from you" said Gafi.

"What answer, brother?" tanya Dita with frown.

"You haven't said an answer yet, whether you can attend my graduation later" replied Gafi.

"Eh, relax. I just arrived, haven't been able to tell. I'll come." said Dita, grabbing Gafi's hand.

Gafi was relieved to hear the reply from Dita."Are you serious about your answer?" tanya Gafi could hardly believe it.

Dita answered with a nod of her head. It made Gafi happy.

"Alright, thank you for your presence. I'm so glad you wanted to come to my graduation" Gafi said.

"Don't thank me, brother. I am also happy to be present at the important event Brother" said Dita.

"You know, from the beginning I went to college, I never once missed a lecture, and finally, after all these years, I managed to get a college degree. I feel very grateful and happy to be able to complete my education" said Gafi.

"Wow, that's what makes Brother so special. I also know that Gafi's sister fought really hard during college. Brother indeed deserves an award for this success," replied Dita.

Gafi picked up a glass of water on the table, then he set his eyes on Dita.

"Will you be my civil partner when I receive my diploma? I want you to be the first one to talk to me after the show is over." Gafi asked with a smile on his face.

Dita looked at Gafi, she seemed to be thinking about the answer that should be given. After a while, Dita gave an answer in a doubtful tone.

"Sister, I'd like to be Brother's companion. I'm glad to be at my sister's graduation. But I still have doubts, can I ask?"

"Of course, what do you want to ask?"

"Will Rachel's mom, and Axel be there?" ask Dita. Gafi nodded his head in response.

"Sister, sorry .. Can I think again about my presence? I can't be sure yet to attend" said Dita again. He just remembered the presence of Axel, so he thought back to the answer he had given.

Gafi was saddened to hear the reply from Dita. "Why? Are you still not able to forget, Axel?" ask Gafi.

Gafi felt sad to hear the reason, because he felt his show was incomplete without Dita's presence.

"Whether this time you can't brace yourself to meet Axel. I really hope you can be on the show. I'd be very happy if you could come." continued Gafi.

"From the beginning I was planning to attend, but I just remembered Axel's presence. I'm sorry, but I can't force myself to come to the graduation ceremony, Brother," Dita explained.

Gafi knew that Dita would not be easy to persuade. However, he did not want to give up just like that. Therefore, he began to seduce Dita.

"I wish you could change your decision. I know how difficult this is for you, but there are a million reasons why you should attend my graduation ceremony." Gafi said with a hopeful look.

"What reason?" ask Dita wonder.

"You are the closest person besides my family. To me you are more than just a friend. Your presence is as important as the presence of my parents" replied Gafi.

Dita felt overwhelmed to hear the words from Gafi. He knew how important the graduation ceremony was for Gafi, and he would feel guilty if he could not attend.

"I understand that graduation is important for Kak Gafi" replied Dita.

Gafi was saddened to hear the reply from Dita. He knew that Dita had decided not to attend the graduation ceremony. However, he did not want to despair just like that.

"We, I do understand that you still can't meet Axel. You might be afraid if the wound comes back. But, for this one time, can you sacrifice all of that first for my benefit? I won't let Axel hurt you again" Gafi said.

Hearing Gafi's words, Dita was silent for a moment. He knew how close his relationship with Gafi the past two years had been, and he also did not want to disappoint Gafi.

"And I have told all my friends that you will be present as a companion, because after graduation we will immediately celebrate to the cafe" said Gafi.

Dita was silent for a moment, pondering the answer from Gafi. He could see that the man was very much expecting his presence.

"I'll come" said Dita suddenly.

Gafi was delighted to hear the answer from Dita. He knew that Dita was willing to give up for his sake.

"Thank you, Dita. I'm very grateful for your decision" Gafi said with a smile on his face.

"You really make me feel guilty, sister," said Dita.

"Ahh, you're my special friend. You mustn't feel guilty to me." replied Gafi.

They felt the warmth of their friendship. She knows how important friends are in her life, and she is grateful to have a friend as good as Gafi.

After all, he would not likely hide directly from Axel. He must be able to prove if all this time he can be independent and can do all even without the presence of Axel beside him.
