Chapter 26 S2. What's The Relationship With Gafi?

Gafi sees Reno, Dita's father sitting under a tree in the girl's boarding yard while driving her home. He then approached the man.

"Good Afternoon, Om," said Gafi in front of Dita's father.

"Good Afternoon, Gafi," Reno replied.

Gafi sat down next to the man. Dita immediately hugged and kissed the cheek of her first love. Reno kissed her daughter's cheek.

"What a beauty is your daughter today? Where'd it come from?" ask Reno.

The question his father was able to make Dita's face reddened because it held in shame. He glanced towards Gafi. The man fell down in shame.

"I'm beautiful, of course, because I'm a woman. Dad and Gafi are just handsome," said Dita divert the conversation of the father.

Being made two glasses of orange juice for his father and Gafi, the three of them sat down while chatting. About anything.

Reno has found out if her daughter is leaving with Gafi, so she is not so surprised when she sees Gafi. Both share stories. Gafi looks so easy to blend with Reno.After the day before the magrib, then Gafi pampit.

"Om, I'm saying goodbye first" said Gafi.

"Om tomorrow we will return to Jakarta. Om titip Dita. If there's something, don't hesitate to call Om" Reno said.

"Good, Om. I'll look after Dita like Om took care of her" replied Gafi. He then kissed Reno's hand. She sends a greeting to Yuni, because Dita's mother is in the bathroom.

Dita drove up to the car. "I'm coming home, tomorrow let me take you and mom to the airport."

"Let's take a taxi, brother. Later troublesome," said Dita.

"I never felt bothered. Or are you the one who gets annoyed if I get close to you often?" ask Gafi.

"No, Brother. I'm glad to be near Brother, Kok. All right, tomorrow at 10 Gafi can come here. Be careful" said Dita with a smile.

Gafi only nodded his head in response. He then waved his hand at Reno before leaving Dita's boarding yard.

After dinner, Dita and her parents watched television. Dita put her head on her father's thigh.

Yuni's mother looked at her daughter, Dita, with a sharp look as she suddenly asked, "Dita, what's the connection between you and Gafi?"

Dita was surprised by the sudden question, but she tried to stay calm. "There's nothing to do with it, ma'am," she replied briefly.

"But, you spent time with her and talked a lot with Gafi," Ibu Yuni asked trying to dig up more information.

"Once again, there is no special relationship between us" Dita repeated, this time with a bit of frustration.

Mother Yuni nodded, yet she was still not convinced. "Are you sure there's nothing you're hiding from us?"

Dita felt depressed by the question because she did not feel like saving something. Between her and Gafi is just an ordinary friend. To Dita, the man was nothing more than a friend.

"There's no relationship whatsoever, ma'am. Only Gafi always helps me. She was also the one who accompanied me if I needed to find something. I just think of him as a friend and at once Big Brother, nothing more," jaeab Dita.

Reno just kept quiet to hear the mother and child talk. He rubbed his daughter's head.

Mother Yuni felt a little calm hearing the reason, but she remained not entirely sure. "But, friends don't usually spend every day together and offer help every time."

"Ma, Gafi is a close friend of mine. Like friends in general, we help and support each other," said Dita rather tired of feeling constantly having to defend her relationship with Gafi.

Mother Yuni nodded, but neither she nor Dita knew that the answer did not help open her mind. Mother Yuni felt that something was hidden by Dita.

"Easy, Mom. Dita had already replied how many times if she and Gafi had not had any relationship. Surely our daughter is currently only focused on her education. And I think it's better than thinking about anything else" Reno said.

"Mother is happy to see Gafi's mature attitude" Yuni said softly.

Dita who was uncomfortable with her mother's question tried to close her eyes so that Yuni did not ask again. Right now the girl did not know what feelings she had for the man. He feels comfortable being with Gafi, but to open his heart, for Dita is not the time yet. He is still traumatized by his love story that clapped one hand with Axel first.
