Chapter 20 S2. The Year of Marriage
The atmosphere in the residence of Rachel and Farhan had been filled with invited guests. Not much to invite, just family and friends. Mama Nazwa was also unable to attend due to her daughter Shella's wedding preparations for two more months.
Unlike the previous year's celebration, this time Rachel looked a little moody. Maybe because of Dita's absence.
The show has started. Axel also brought Lisa. The woman was introduced to all the families. Mama Alya and Gafi.
Gafi looked at Lisa without a blink, making the girl bow down in embarrassment. Though Gafi looked at him because he wanted to compare with Dita.
"We are so much more everything. Axel could not see all the advantages that Dita had because he often met. So for him it was no longer special," Gafi murmured in his heart.
"So this is your girlfriend, Axel?" ask Alya.
"Yes, Mama Alya," Axel replied.
"Oh, Mama thinks who your boyfriend is."
"What's wrong, Ma?" ask Axel.
Axel and Lisa were sitting in the chair next to Alya. Lisa secretly steals a look at Gafi. However, the man pretended to be unaware and ignored her.
"Mama thinks much prettier than Dita," said Alya. From both of her sisters Farhan, Alya is famous for being honest and saying what it is.
"What do you think Lisa's not pretty?" ask Axel.
Lisa who became the topic of conversation just lowered her head. Seems he does not like to be a comparison of what else with Dita. He had known how Axel and Dita were in relationship before his presence.
"It's not pretty. Lisa is beautiful, but Dita is special" said Alya.
"What else now. Dita is much more saucy again," said Gafi keceplosan.
"What ...? Has Brother Gafi ever met Dita?" ask Axel.
Gafi scratched his non-itchy head. He regretted his carelessness. Though Dita has advised not to let anyone know his existence.
"I'm just guessing. Is not a girl getting older more beautiful. Where is Dita? She must be present, right?" tanya Gafi pretended not to know.
"He went out of town or abroad I don't know. Aunt Yuni and Om Reno would not say where she went to college" Axel replied.
Axel did ask where Dita went to college, but never his parents said. It seems like they do want to hide the whereabouts of her child, since Rachel alone does not know where Dita is at the moment.
Gafi was willing to take a drink, he deliberately did that to divert all the conversation. Gafi does not want to be flabbergasted anymore.
Just now Gafi stood his attention at this moment fixed on the presence and arrival of Yuni and Reno. Rachel who was gathering with the other siblings immediately stood up to welcome the arrival of Dita's parents.
"We can't come?" rachel asked as soon as Yuni.
"Sorry, Rachel. Taken only leave this for you." Yuni handed over the gift that Dita left. She asks Yuni to buy a dress for Rachel's mom.
"This is a letter Dita wrote for you." Reno gave a letter that Dita wrote.
Rachel took Reno and Yuni to a seat. Axel tails from behind. So is Alya.
"We're not coming?" alya asked so until before Yuni. Seeing all the Axel family asking about Dita's presence made Lisa's face pout.
"It doesn't seem like an easy thing to steal the Axel family's heart. They were all used to Dita's presence. I have to try harder to take their heart especially Rachel's mom. However, how can I attract his attention if my presence alone is not considered," Lisa murmured in her heart.
The party went well. All guests are enjoying the dishes. Suddenly Reno's phone rings. He saw Dita's name. It just so happened that Rachel's eyes were on the phone again.
"It was Dita who called. Why not lift?" ask Rachel.
Reno went wrong. If it's not lifted, she's not feeling good about Rachel. However, if he raised, fear Dita wrong behavior.
