Chapter 36 S2. I Love For No Reason

Mama Rachel took a deep breath before she finally looked at Dita sharply. That look made Dita tremble, she felt panic because now suddenly she had to face this big question.

"We, do you love Gafi from your heart, son?" mama Rachel asked firmly.

Dita massages her chest, trying to calm herself down because she knows that the answer to this question could be slapping on her decision with Gafi.

"The question is difficult, Ma. I like Gafi, but I don't know if I love him" Dita said.

Mama Rachel took a deep breath. "You know, Dita, that love can't be forced. We can't force ourselves to love someone just because we feel that's what we're supposed to do. Just to return the favor, for example. One must know for oneself whether or not one truly loves someone."

Dita shook her head slowly but surely. "But I think I feel comfortable with Gafi. We gather a lot, we like the same things, we spend time together."

"Did you accept Gafi just for wanting to forget about Axel?" ask Rachel again.

Back Dita took a breath. She clasped the hand of the woman she had considered to be her own mother. She actually had a hard time answering, not wanting to let Rachel down.

"Mama, Loving Brother Gafi, was never in my life plan. However, one day, for reasons that I did not understand, God put Kak Gafi to be the best part of my heart and memory. So, if anyone asks me why I love her, I'm sorry I couldn't answer. For even to this day, I have tried to find the answer, but I have not found it. I just hope my best and worst feelings in loving her will never be troublesome. May my journey in loving Kak Gafi, will always be facilitated. I don't want anything from him, I just want my heart, his love will be calm and secure" replied Dita Long.

"I love Brother Gafi, because of his sincerity that I may not be able to get from any man" said Dita again.

Rachel seems to have not been able to accept Dita's answer. Back he asked.

"Say, just one reason why you could choose Gafi, and love him?" ask Rachel again.

"Ma, I don't have a reason why I love Gafi only one I know, I'm happy when I'm with him. If anyone asks me why I love him, I have no answer for that. Cause all I know about love doesn't need a reason, but a proof. I love without knowing why or where or where it came from. I just love without problems or pride. I love him like this because I feel so comfortable with him. I'm in mourning" replied Dita.

Rachel changed her seat. His gaze was far looking ahead. If only he could manage this life, he would definitely make Axel love Dita, and they became lovers. However, Rachel could still breathe a sigh of relief as the girl still chose her family. It was the same if he would still be their family.

"Darling, can you ask me one more question, what is the reason you hid your whereabouts from Mama?" ask Rachel.

"Sorry, Ma. If my answer would hurt my mother. It's time for my mom to know everything. I chose college out of town, all to fulfill Axel's wishes. He asked me to go away, as far away from him. That's why I chose college here. At first, I asked to study abroad. But mom and dad wouldn't let it. Too far away" replied Dita.

Dita says everything that happened at school, at first she starts to stay away from Axel. Although not entirely he said. The girl still kept the woman's feelings.

"On behalf of Axel mama apologize if she ever hurt you. As her parents, she felt like a failure" Rachel said.

Rachel held back in shame. Not knowing how broken her heart was knowing what her son had done. Although Dita has said that her parents did not know Axel's bad actions, but still she was embarrassed.

"Ma, what you need to remember, I'll still be your little daughter at all times. Don't be sad" said Dita.

He hugged the body of the woman he loved so much. Rachel's sadness she could feel. The two cried with each other.

After quite a while of hugging and crying, Rachel let go of her embrace. Staring intensely at Dita.

"You're beautiful, kind, and smart. You deserve the best. Mama realizes that if Axel has many shortcomings, he must learn a lot about this life first. Unlike Gafi, he is an independent and patient child. You and Gafi are a great couple. May you both be happy." Rachel's prayer sincerely.

Without the two of them noticing, Axel eavesdropped on all their chatter. He had intended to see his mother, but when he heard the sound of chatter, he finally eavesdropped.
