"Well, thank you .... This is your mom making it yourself?" Henny receives a box of brownies from Kenny's tiny hands.

"She said thank you for Oma yesterday giving Kenny a donut."

Henny smiled happily. He looked at the brownie box. "It turns out your mama sells brownies huh?"

Suddenly the boy's lips grimaced sadly. "Kenny doesn't like Mama selling brownies," he said while choking.

"Lho why?"

"Mama can't make Kenny play. Mama is sick ...."

"Can't it hurt?"

"Mama's tasting makes brownies till night ...."

So many unexpected things happened in such a short time. Just like Kevin who did not expect to be able to feel Jeany's lips again after they had been separated for years. Kevin rubbed his face violently. He scolded himself for fantasizing too far. He saw the woman who was lying in her bed, who only regained consciousness for a while and went back to sleep after the doctor examined her and gave her an injection. Fatigue, the doctor said. Gently Kevin's fingers clasped Jeany's hands. One hand stroked the woman's thin cheek. Jeany's sleeping face looked so beautiful in her sight. He slowly lowered his face and kissed those pale-looking lips. The woman still closed her eyes, completely unperturbed by Kevin's treatment of her.

"Jean, if it wasn't like this I wouldn't be able to look at you without seeing the hatred in your eyes." The man looked at him lovingly, still clasping his fingers.

"I know my mistake with you is too big. Repeatedly ruining you. But you're too cruel, Jean. Run into my own best friend's arms. You have no idea how broken my heart was!"

"Once the bleeding in my head was completely healed, I went straight back to Jakarta. I want to fix our relationship ...."

"I went to your boarding house but the house was sold. I went to the restaurant but they said you quit your job and married Randy. Even I saw your wedding photos on Instagram .... I'm totally devastated, Jean! I should have hated you, I should have said that!"

Kevin paused for a moment to wipe away the tears that suddenly came out. He looked back at the woman who had broken his heart.

"But I can't. I always miss you. I'm so glad to know we're one office. I'm glad there's finally a chance to notice you like we used to date. Too happy to not realize that it can cause gossip ...."

"The rumor cannot exist. My parents can't know we're an office. I had to ignore you. Sorry I .... Because I can't stand it if you disappear from my sight again."

Kevin kissed Jeany.

"Make a wake, Jean. Repeat what you said. What do you mean ask me to cancel my wedding?"

Faintly heard the sound of the ringtone of the mobile phone. Kevin puts Jeany's hand gently and looks for the origin of the sound. The muffled sound came from inside Jeany's bag. Kevin took the phone, hoping it wasn't from the woman's husband. Until now he has not been able to forgive Randy for taking Jeany from him.

Kevin's eyes flashed furiously when he saw Prasetyo's name plastered on the phone screen. "Hello" she replied coldly.

"Eng .... Huh hello? Is this Jeany's number?"

"You are coming to my place now. I sent her address in WA and don't tell anyone."

Kevin disconnected the call unilaterally. After sending the address of his apartment to Prasetyo, he sat quietly waiting for the arrival of his employee. His own phone vibrated many times, calling from Lisa and Vera. He ignores everything.

When Prasetyo arrived, Kevin invited him to sit on the living room sofa. Her face was cold without hospitality making Prasetyo feel a little intimidated.

"Jeany is in the bedroom again. He fainted." Without being asked, Kevin explained the cause of Prasetyo's confusion.

"I don't deserve to show up at the office. I guess where ...." Prasetyo answered with relief. "Then how's it going, sir?"

Kevin doesn't care about Prasetyo's questions. He immediately attacked his employees with question after question.

"What's your relationship with Jeany?"

"It just so happens that he's my wife's best friend."

"So outside your office is close?"

"Eng .... Close to my wife." Prasetyo answered carefully.

"Why did Jeany leave with you?"

"We're a housing complex. Jeany said she wasn't feeling well anymore. My wife is worried so ask Jeany not to take the bike first."

Prasetyo actually knows Kenny is Kevin's flesh and blood. But he did not want to tell the man. Moreover, he knew the reason Jeany remained silent until now. Kevin's phone is back. This time he could not ignore because the vibration came from the alarm notification that informed the schedule of the board meeting. One more hour.

Damnit damnit! Kevin nodded in his heart. He still wanted to wait for Jeany to wake up and attack the woman with questions. He saw Prasetyo.

"You can come back. Don't tell this to anyone."

"Good, sir."

After Prasetyo left his apartment, Kevin called his family's personal doctor who was checking on Jeany.

"Hello, Doc. I need a nurse to look after my future wife while I'm in the office. Can I send it to where I am now?"

Without a doubt Kevin referred to Jeany as his future wife. After learning that Jeany no longer belongs to her best friend, she is determined to rebuild her happiness with her. The problem of Jeany and Randy's children, for the sake of his love for the woman he will try to accept and love the child. Kevin looked back at Jeany's shady face.

After the board meeting, Kevin wasted no more time. He calls Lisa to his room to end their engagement status. The man does not want to repeat his mistakes in the past by making the woman he loves stuck without status. This time he had to be tough.

"Why is it canceled, Vin?"

Lisa endured the cries of hearing Kevin's decision. Two more weeks of marriage will be held. The invitation has been sent. And that guy suddenly wants to cancel it? Just be right!

Jeany is in a state of improvement. He insisted on leaving Kevin's apartment, not heeding instructions from the nurse who asked him to stay there until the man returned.

Jeany took the elevator to the floor where Kevin's room was. But there he had to meet with Lisa who had just come out of the main director's room.

"Oh coincidence, Jeany." Lisa walks towards Kevin's secretary desk.

"Ver, please get me my wedding invitation. Kevin said Jeany should be invited because they're friends."

"Yes, Mr. Kevin also ordered me to give this invitation to Jeany."

Jeany stood still on the spot. His hand squeezed out the invitation he had just received. He couldn't believe Kevin would be so kind to him. So this is the man's answer? By inviting her to the wedding?

Without showing her feelings, Jeany looked at Lisa in both eyes. "You don't have to bother because I'm not coming!"

Jeany threw the invitation on the floor. His attitude provoked Lisa's anger. He shouted at Jeany who had walked away from him and Vera. "Have an illegitimate child!"

Jeany's steps stopped. He turned his body and looked at Lisa fiercely. "Did you just say?"

Lisa gave a mocking look. "You pretended to be pious in the office. She was married and divorced because she had an illegitimate child!"

Jeany's hand grabbed Lisa's hair hard. "Don't you dare call my son a bastard!!"

The pain from the pull on her scalp made Lisa scream. He wants to retort by pulling Jeany's hair. But the anger made Jeany's power several times greater. It makes Lisa uncommitted. As for Vera, he was too surprised to forget to help his best friend.

Lisa's screams rang out into Kevin's room. The man came out to check on the situation. He could hardly believe what he saw. Jeany who dislikes violence is grabbing Lisa and ruffling her hair. What the hell is going on? Wasn't he asleep in the apartment? Why are we fighting with Lisa here?

Kevin quickly broke up the two women. Both of her hands blocked Jeany's wrists which still pulled Lisa's hair violently. "Enough, Jean. Don't be like this."

Jeany brushed off Kevin's hand. "Deliver!"

"Why are you like this?"

"You don't want me hurting your future wife, tell her to keep her mouth!"

Jeany walked away leaving three people there. His heart was filled with anger and disappointment.

Kevin took Lisa into his room and questioned her. "What's really going on, Lis? Jeany can't be like that if you don't go too far with her."

"You're still defending him! I'm just telling the truth! She's such a pompous woman even though she's a lowly woman!" peekit Lisa's. His hands combed his hair that was messy because of Jeany.

Kevin hit his desk so hard that Lisa was aghast. "Dear your mouth! Jeany is not like that!"

"Not like that what? You don't know if he's married and divorced!"

Lisa was disappointed that Kevin did not seem surprised. He almost saw a smile on the man's face.

"Trus why? There are many couples in this world who are divorced. If the household is not happy for what to maintain?"

Kevin had no idea why he was so pounding waiting for the answer to come out of Lisa's mouth.

"Because the child she gave birth to was not her husband's!"
