One Night's Mistakes (Love's Wrong)

One Night's Mistakes (Love's Wrong)
I Promise I'll Always Help You

Given the late night, Jeany thought Kevin would take her to a cafe not far from the man's house. However, Kevin turned out to take him to the end of North Jakarta, to a cafe that has a view of the open sea. So big, according to Jeany the cafe is also suitable to be referred to as a restaurant.

They sat on the outside of the cafe, in chairs near a wooden fence directly adjacent to the sea. Maybe because of the weekend, until late at night the cafe is still crowded. Kevin chose the seat on the right and left of which there was no other visitor.

"It's better to be here at sunset, but we're really late" said Kevin a little regretful.

"Who is this beautiful view too."

And romantic, Jeany added inwardly.

The view of the open sea at night decorated with the lights of buildings in the distance gave a special impression in his eyes. The different atmosphere makes them seem as if they are not in Jakarta.

"So where does the story start?" jane asked shortly afterwards.

Kevin laughed at Jeany who had a serious face. Apparently the calm and pleasant atmosphere created from the expanse of the ocean has not been able to relieve the tension of the girl.

"Patience first. We eat first yes," replied Kevin.

"Oh yes ...." Jeany smiled shyly.

Kevin then called the waiter to order food. It turns out that the menu is very varied, not just seafood. Jeany chose fried rice because she felt that her stomach was uncomfortable and had to be filled with rice.

"Related fried rice? Don't you want to try the crab mix?" kevin asked to name his favorite menu at the cafe. Because he thinks if you want to eat fried rice, at home can also.

Far away invited to a good place, cook only fried rice?

Jeany shook her head. He had imagined the hassle of removing crab meat from his shell. Kevin did not force, he himself chose the tenderloin steak. Be the two of them eating by the beach without any seafood at all.

In silence they both waited for the food and drinks that had been ordered. Kevin deliberately let Jeany enjoy the atmosphere. His eyes could not see the girl's face. He felt his heart beating faster when he saw a smile forming on Jeany's lips.

"It used to be that my papa used to walk to a white sand beach" Jeany said suddenly. "But at that time I didn't like it" he continued.

"Why not like it?"

"It's hot." Jeany laughed a little. "So my dad said next time I'd take him to a cool place so I'd be happy. But never deliver."

"Why?" Kevin was a little annoyed at her who could say nothing but ask why.

"My father hunted nothing."

"Oh. Sorry." which."

Jeany shakes.

"It's a long time ago. It was 10 years ago."

"Oh? But isn't your sister just 8?"

Jeany was quite surprised because it turns out Kevin did not forget their light conversation when it was done while eating.

"He's a stepbrother."

Kevin stunned. Jeany's originally sad face turned into hatred.

"What ... do you have a problem with your sister?" ask Kevin slowly.

Jeany smiled bitterly.

"Since she was around, my mother never noticed me again. Is it natural that I hate him?" asked Jeany while looking directly into Kevin's eyes.

"Errn .... Maybe your mama has a hard time taking care of the baby, so you feel less cared for," replied Kevin carefully.

"Yes maybe." Jeany said with a faint smile.

They stopped talking because the ordered drinks had arrived. Jeany who felt her throat suddenly dry, concentrated on enjoying her drink. Kevin also momentarily toyed with his drink. He stirred the contents in the glass without drinking it, as if he was thinking of something.

"Kok just stirring his drink?" ask Jeany

"Jean, do your parents not charge you now?" Kevin asked back.

"Engga. My stepfather's broke. My mom sold my papa's car."

Jeany nodded.

"Formerly in the parking lot of High School we often very papasan. But you're arrogant never spilt." Kevin laughed in memory of their High School days. It could be that one of the places he meets Jeany most often in class is in the parking lot.

"We were not familiar at that time. Strange if I suddenly hit it. You never fucked up either" Jeany replied.

"It's like we're both arrogant hehehe ... By the way, how can you get high school in Jakarta? I mean in Surabaya it's a good school, different from Randy's city."

"In this city papa died and was buried. I'm just a bully in my mom's new family, far from them like this is best for everyone."

"Ah. When was the last time you saw your mom?"

"Two years ago."

"Old time."

"She said the proceeds from the sale of the car would be split in half, for my sister's school and my tuition. But I was just being lied to."

Again Kevin saw the look of hateful eyes.

"Have you tried to talk to your mom?"

"Make what? He doesn't care about me. Does he not think how I survive in Jakarta without remittance from him? Just call me and ask me news never!" jeany answered a little emotionally.

"Whoa, Jean. Where is there a mother who does not love her child?"

Jeany suddenly laughed.

"You want proof that he doesn't love me? Not long after selling the car, he took me to a notary. I was asked to sign for my papa's land sale approval. I didn't want to because I was afraid of it happening like the time of selling cars. But I want to give him a chance. I also need some money."

Seeing Jeany who until now is still struggling, Kevin can guess the next story. It's hard to believe a mother can behave like that with her daughter.

"So now you're actually disconnected from your mom?"

"Yes." Yeah."

Kevin can see just how hateful it is to turn a usually gentle person into a hardened heart. Frequently being let down keeps Jeany trapped in endless hatred. The young man was really afraid that one day he would disappoint the girl and be hated by her.

"Jean, I promise I'll always help you. You have to say yes because I don't touch people sometimes."

"Yes." Yeah."

When the food came, both of them immediately ate the food because they were very hungry. No one else spoke. Suddenly Kevin put a large piece of steak on Jeany's plate.

"Cobain, it's really good" said Kevin enthusiastically.

Jeany stuffed the piece of steak into her mouth. "It was delicious" he said in agreement.

"Rubber right? I think this cafe only sells scenery, it turns out the food is also good. Could come here again next time."

"This is your first time here?"

"Yes. I have long wanted to bring Stevi here, but instead you are the first one I invited hehe ...." Kevin feels right there is a saying that says humans plan, but God determines.

"There's still plenty of time to take Stevi with you" Jeany said, holding back the jealousy in her heart.

Of jealousy? Realize, Jeany you have no right to be jealous. You're not who he is.

Unknowingly Jeany shook her head to dispel the bad thoughts that appeared without permission.

"Why you?" ask Kevin wonder.

"Eh? It's just a little cold, '" Jeany replied lying.

"Oh. I went to the toilet." Kevin told Jeany.

The young man left his phone on the table, which shortly afterwards rang showing Stevi's name as a caller. Jeany momentarily felt the temptation to lift the call.
