Finally Arrive Too Even Too Late

Kevin squirms waking up from his nap. As usual when he took a nap, instead of feeling more refreshed, once awake his body actually felt tired. But the extreme drowsiness makes it unable to avoid the temptation to take a nap. He is sitting at the head of the bed reading Whatsapp messages on his phone, messages from his best friend since High School

[Bro, where does Jeany work? Kasitau dong I mo pick him up.]

Not wanting Randy to get close to Jeany, Kevin racked his brain to think. He believes his best friend just wants to play around. Jeany is not the kind of girl Randy likes.

But shouldn't we judge others unilaterally? What if Randy really likes Jeany?

Breathing out of Kevin's mouth. Wanting to be a wise person in making decisions is really not easy. After his mind rages on long enough, Kevin chooses not to tell Randy. He was afraid that Jeany would be hurt later. Better not to risk anything.

Sorry, Ran. If I had any other girl, I would have helped you. But not Jeany.

After making his decision, Kevin got out of bed to go out of the room to see Enzo. Of course with the girl who looked after her nephew.

Just a few steps away, his phone rang. He complained in his heart as his phone screen revealed Randy's name as a caller.

"Hello, Ran?" he answered the call.

"Kevin! How come I WA just in-read doang anyway?!" Randy's tone across sounded annoyed.

Kevin automatically patted his forehead. He was busy thinking until he forgot to reply to a message from Randy. "Sorry, Ran I forgot hehe ...."

"I forgot what you didn't want to tell me on purpose?" randy's girlfriend.

"Seriously forgot to reply earlier. Understandably just waking up, not yet fully aware."

"Buset is like a mother taking a nap!" Randy chuckles.

"Gue shut it down."

"Eh wait wait wait! Tell me. Where does Jeany work now?"

"Gue doesn't know, Ran," Kevin lied to his best friend.

But Randy didn't just believe it. "You may not know. It's his best friend."

"Not all the things she told me this time. You know he's a closed man" Kevin said.

"You can help me ask him, right?"

Kevin almost clucked at Randy's request. The persistence of his best friend made his heart even more anxious. He knows that Randy will not stop if he has not got what he wants. He has to lie again.

"OKAY. But I don't promise he'll tell you, yes" he replied pretending to obey Randy's wishes.

"He has no reason not to tell you."

"Why do you really want Jeany? He's not the lo type?" kevin asked annoyed as he continued to be urged.

I heard Randy's little laugh. "There's a reason, which is clear this time I'm not kidding."

"You mean, you want to be serious about Jeany?"

"Hehehe according to lo?"

Instead of being afraid, Randy even brazenly slurped. "Don't take it for a long time, really be your mother."

Kevin twitched his temple which suddenly throbbed uncomfortably. Looks like he's got to meet Randy in person. Talking over the phone will only make his blood pressure rise.

"By the way next week Johan returns from Beijing. He's sure we're getting together" Randy said suddenly.

"So set it up, I'll come" replied Kevin. He also misses his best friend who is now studying Mandarin directly in his home country.

"OK deh. Don't forget to ask Jeany!" Randy told me before he ended his phone call.

After one more breath, because after all he did not like to lie, Kevin looked at the time pointer on the phone screen. It was almost four in the afternoon. He decided to take a shower before leaving the room, hoping that after that his body would feel fresher.

In Enzo's room, Jeany is changing the baby's diaper hoping Kevin wakes up soon from his nap. Earlier, when he urinated, he found blood spots in his cell*na d*lamnya. He immediately felt a tremendous relief because finally his menstruation came too even though it was a few days late. From the morning, his stomach felt uncomfortable.

Jeany remembers not carrying a pad. He wants to ask Bi Murni or Mbak Iis. But the intention was to be stopped after seeing Bi Murni was struggling in the kitchen cooking dinner which was not small in number. As for Sister Iis, she was mopping the two-story house with a sullen face, making Jeany not dare to approach her.

Finally Jeany decided to buy at the minimarket near Kevin's house only. Just need to wait for Kevin to wake up from his nap which should not be long, because it had been three hours the man was in his room. Fortunately, the menstrual fluid this time is not as much as usual.

Upon entering Enzo's room, Kevin is immediately invaded by Jeany who looks rushed.

"Kevin, thank goodness you woke up! Can I just drop Enzo for a second, right? There's something I want to buy at the front minimarket."

Kevin did not answer immediately because he was still digesting sentence after sentence Jeany said in one breath.

"We go together if so. I also want to buy a shave, which long left in the apartment," he replied after understanding.

"Eh? I bought his shaver. Somebody's gotta take care of Enzo." Of course Jeany was so embarrassed that Kevin found out he was coming to the moon.

"Father Enzo was invited to take an afternoon walk. Come on!" Kevin is getting excited. He held Enzo and walked out of the room. Jeany could only follow suitably.

They walk to the minimarket which is located about a hundred meters from Kevin's house, passing large houses of different architecture as if competing to show their respective splendor.

Usually Jeany will be amazed and see one by one the house with enthusiasm. He really likes to see a house that is designed in such a way that it looks luxurious and beautiful but still comfortable to live in, hoping one day he is lucky enough to have a house like that. However, for now he is busy thinking of ways to buy pads without Kevin knowing.

"Jean, I'll go there first." Once at the minimarket, Kevin tells Jeany while pointing at the racks where the shaver is immediately embraced excitedly by the girl.

Jeany didn't waste a chance. He rushed to find the place where the pads were, picked out immediately and quickly walked to the cashier to make the payment. At the same time, a young man carrying a baby was about to enter the hallway where Jeany was walking in a hurry. They collided, causing the pads in Jeany's grip to come loose and fall near the young man's feet.

"Jean, you-"

The young man did not continue his words. He already understands what is going on. His mind was the same as Jeany's. That fateful night did not produce anything they feared. He felt an unparalleled relief. He saw Jeany standing petrified with a reddened face. Kevin picked up the dropped object near his feet and put it in his own shopping basket.

"Is this what you want to buy?" Kevin asked with an ordinary face but inwardly laughed at Jeany's silliness.

Jeany nodded and took the shopping cart out of Kevin's hand. "I'm the one who brought it" he said.

After paying, Kevin and Jeany walk back to the young man's house. With Enzo looking comfortable in Kevin's arms, the three look like a small family enjoying a relaxed atmosphere in the afternoon.

"It's so happy for them, the afternoon walk with the baby" a middle-aged woman told her daughter as the car they were riding in drove past Kevin and Jeany. Tucked envy in his heart because when he was young, the husband was always busy with work.

The girl reflexively looked back after hearing the words of the mother, wanting to pay more attention to the family that had just been praised by her mother.

"Lho, is that Kevin's brother with Enzo?"
