For a while Vivian stood still after Revan left the room, suddenly losing the ability to think. He only moved when his brain function had returned, forming a conclusion.
Her husband was not joking. Revan is serious about divorcing her.
Vivian's intuition urged her to rush after Revan, to get the man to talk. He goes to the dining room, where Revan watches streaming news every morning on his mobile phone, accompanied by a hot cup of coffee and a favorite breakfast menu.
The dining table is now empty. A glass of coffee stood on it, with the contents still intact. The butter toast that Supatmi, their housekeeper, had prepared, was also completely untouched.
Supatmi, who is usually called Mbak Mi, had just entered the dining room. It brings a glass of apple juice to Vivian which makes it a mandatory menu every morning.
"Master, isn't breakfast, Ma'am?" Vivian asked as she looked at her glass of apple juice.
"Send, Mistress. Sir left immediately."
Vivian let out a disappointed breath. He decided to leave for work, skipping breakfast. Picking up the bag and putting on the shoes, all he did with an empty mind. His body moves automatically like a programmed robot.
"Mrs, ma'am, what's dinner for you to cook?" prevent Ma'am Mi from rushing when Vivian is almost out the door.
"Take it on the list I love." Vivian answered briefly without looking.
"But last night sir didn't eat. I'm afraid I don't like the dishes."
That information made Vivian stop the move. Again she had to think hard to find the reason behind her husband's unusual attitude. Revan didn't eat last night. Is it because of waiting for him?
"Not cooking, Bi. Later I will be the same Master eat outside," replied Vivian to take a decision. She would invite her husband to talk seriously.
Vivian sat in the driver's seat of her city car and ran it towards the gate the guard had opened. He doesn't need to heat up his car engine anymore because Revan has ordered the driver to do it every morning.
From the rearview mirror, Vivian saw Supatmi running after her. He had to step on the clutch and brake pedals. "Why again?" he was impatient after lowering the window.
"Mr-of-the-moment call, Madam." Supatmi paused for a moment to catch her breath. "Master said the tie was left behind, asked to be ushered into the office."
Vivian thinned her lips furiously. Don't blame her for being annoyed that Revan refused to call her and instead asked their housekeeper to pick up the tie. Obviously the tie is in the closet. And Revan forbids anyone else from entering their private rooms. The man must have done it on purpose so as not to have to talk to Vivian.
Without a word, Vivian got out of the car and walked back inside the house. Supatmi followed behind him in fear. The slammed car door was enough to make him understand that his employer's mood was not good.
Inside the room, Vivian opened the drawer of the tie storage. His forehead immediately wrinkled. He is confused because Revan has a lot of tie collections.
"Sir, you didn't say which tie?" ask Supatmi who is standing waiting outside the room.
"She's the blue black silver stripes."
Vivian went back into the room and looked for a tie in blue. There's alot. Not wanting to waste time researching one motive at a time, he brought it all together. Let Revan choose later, he murmured to himself.
Supatmi is still waiting outside. Seeing Vivian had brought a tie, he stretched out his hand intending to take it.
"Well?" ask Vivian ketus.
"I was told by you to take his tie to the office."
"Let me deliver."
"But said Mr-"
Justright. Supatmi nodded with a big smile. Vivian left home with a sigh. In order to deliver Revan's tie, he was late to the office. But at the very least, it can be attempted so that the delay does not exceed one hour. He sent a Whatsapp message to his boss, telling him he was coming late that morning.
In front of the majestic building that became Revan's office building, Vivian took a deep breath to neutralize her nervous feelings. Strange indeed. He will meet his own husband, but his nervousness resembles the first time he plunged into the field to meet prospective clients who will be offered Credit Without Collateral.
After smoothing the slick skirt with her usual hand when nervous, Vivian stepped towards the entrance of Revan's office steadily. From the outside he looks so confident with his lips publishing a thin smile.
The confident smile faded when the security of the building questioned the purpose of his arrival. Unfortunately again, Revan who was the reason for his arrival was not yet arrived. The man left first. Vivian thought everything would be fine once she called her husband. But Revan brazenly repeatedly rejected his call.
Vivian didn't know she had to laugh or cry. Two well-built men in blue-white uniforms did not allow her to enter the building of her own husband. Vivian was left standing waiting outside. He felt funny and sad at the same time.
In the past, when he and Revan had just married, the man intended to give him an access card so that he could freely go in and out of the husband's office. "Let's believe I never messed around in the office, honey," Revan said in a friendly whisper.
The card Vivian refused. Her status as the wife of a Revan Halim is unknown to many. She never planned to come to her husband at work, let alone make an impromptu visit out of unfounded jealousy. He used to be very sure, the universe of a Revan Halim is only centered on him. Now he questions that.
After a twenty-minute wait that felt like two hours to Vivian, the husband's Toyota Land Cruiser came to a gallant stop in front of the office. Revan got out of the car and walked at a fast pace, looking very powerful. The two guards immediately greeted their main director with reverence. "Good morning, sir."
Vivian is eager to blow emotions at the husband who has kept her waiting for a long time, but she realizes it will only make herself and Revan a spectacle. Finally, only a soft call came from his lips. "Rev."
Revan gave Vivian a cold glance. "Let him in" he told two guards before entering the building through a transparent door. Vivian quickly followed him. Fortunately, the morning was still quiet. It was a shameful morning for him.
This is Vivian's first time coming to Revan's office. Everything he saw amazed him. He could hardly believe this grand and modern building belonged to the man who married him two years ago. They boarded an elevator reserved exclusively for the chief director. Vivian refrained from remaining silent because she was not sure she could control her tone.
Located on the seventh floor, Revan's office space spoils the eye more. The view of the city of Surabaya with its heavy traffic can be seen clearly once Vivian set foot in the room. He did not realize Revan was already sitting down and waiting for him impatiently.
"Why come here?" ask the man.
"Here, I brought your tie." Vivian pulled out several blue ties with various motifs from inside her bag. "Don't get mad Ma'am Mi. I told him not to come here" he added quickly after seeing Revan's angry face.
"One cupboard tie you brought all?" The taunts came out of Revan's mouth.
A slight red hue appeared on Vivian's cheeks. "Not one closet, by the way. I don't know what you mean, so—"
"Put it on the table," cut Revan fast.
"Okey." Vivian did as requested by Revan. Then she walked over to the husband's table. "Rev, we need to talk."
"Ten minutes."
"Not quite dong, Rev, we have to—"
"Ten minutes or nothing" Revan threatened.
"I don't want a divorce!" answer Vivian quickly. She did not ask why her husband did not eat last night and did not eat breakfast this morning.
Revan exposed his canine teeth as the corners of his lips lifted into a cynical grin. "Your objections have absolutely no effect."
"Is it because of the child's problem?" vivian asked in a voice that he himself did not know why he suddenly swallowed.
Revan's eyes were now sharp. Vivian became nervous. He stuttered as he said the next sentence. "I-I'm ready to get pregnant. If that's what you want."
