One Night's Mistakes (Love's Wrong)

One Night's Mistakes (Love's Wrong)
Keep the Promise

That morning the Wijaya family was having breakfast together, including Kevin who had just returned from the hospital the previous day. While Jovina, the responsible teenager is still lulled in the dreamland. Among all the people there, only Kevin who looks not eager to eat toast which is usually his favorite menu.

"Kevin, why isn't the bread eaten, son? Or what to eat? Let's cook. Don't forget you have to take medicine." Henny reminded her son.

"Ma, can't I use HP yet?"

"You'll hear yourself what the doctor said. You haven't been able to read much, watch TV, drive ... To be safe it is better not to use HP first," said Henny.

Kevin did not argue. She knew her mother had deliberately kept her away from her cell phone so she could not contact Jeany. Even the phone connection at home was revoked by Henny. Kevin does not want to quarrel with his mother before knowing what really happened. He saw papa, brother and sister-in-law who seemed to be more silent than usual.

The young man waited until noon when Henny left home to attend a gathering with fellow mothers. Kevin immediately went to his brother-in-law.

"Sir Willa, is it true that Jeany went with Randy?"

"Ehm it ... You better ask her directly." Vinda couldn't tell the truth, but also didn't want to lie.

"Kok I feel like mama hates Jeany?"

"Vin, sister HP loan brother so you can talk to Jeany, but don't let mama know yes." Willa complies with her heart to help Kevin. She also likes Jeany.

"Thank you, Brother!" reply Kevin sumringah.

The young man went into his room and called Jeany.

"Hello. It's me." It's me."

"Hello, Vin, you finally called! Are you out of the hospital? Why didn't yesterday call me at all?" Jeany's voice sounded anxious as well as relieved.

"Where were you yesterday?"

"Then I went to get a job."

"Same Randy?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Now where else?"

"Again on campus ... Wanna see if there's a job opening."

"Same Randy too?"

"He's just my anterine."

"Have to go on Randy? Hugs on her?"

"Vin, what-"

Kevin immediately turned off his phone call in annoyance. He knew his jealousy was overrated. But he could not resist the feeling that just appeared. It felt as if his chest wanted to explode. Rather than him hurting Jeany with his words, it was better to wait until his mood improved.

"Where, Vin? What did Jeany say?" ask Winda when Kevin returns his phone.

"Let's just say it if I'm not emotional, brother."

"But don't let the problem drag on yeah, get it over with."

Kevin nodded and returned to his room. While lying down, he imagines the face of Jeany, the girl who managed to make him know what it was like to be tormented by jealousy. His reaction was childish, but he wanted Jeany to realize that her closeness to Randy was very disturbing.

In the afternoon, Stevi comes to pick up Kevin for a reunion. The two of them had been wearing perfect-looking batik suits on each other's bodies. The batik clothes that were silent witnesses when Kevin asked to break up from him, Stevi thought.

"Well, you guys are so compatible. One is handsome, one is beautiful. If you had a child, it would be so cute." Henny is thrilled to see Kevin and Stevi wearing twin suits that make them look harmonious and harmonious.

Kevin nodded at his mother's words. "What's the talk, anyway? Kevin ama Stevi has broken up, Ma. We just went as friends."

"Didn't you still be able to date again? There is an old love coming back. Isn't that right, honey?" Henny asked for her daughter's support.

"Yes, Ma. But also there's a term first love never fades."

Only Kevin and Stevi understood what Jovina meant.

"A blank among is what is called first love. Your age is called the love of monkeys, not yet able to sort out which is the best," said Henny straightened out her daughter.

"Well, you don't know, you're never young ...." Jovina replied before quickly walking into her room, afraid of letting go of talking more.

Coinciding with that, Winda went down while holding Enzo.

"Ma, I just got a call from my boss at the office first. Tomorrow I'm being drafted please come to the office, Ma. My replacement can't come in because of diarrhea, and the office work is very crowded now" he told Henny.

"Wow, tomorrow you must accompany Papa to Bogor. How yes? Where do you want to find a babysitter all of a sudden?"

"Let me take care of Enzo, Aunt." Stevie offered himself.

"Are you willing, Stevi? Look after the baby."

"It's a gapapa, Aunt. I like children" Stevi replied convincingly.

Afterwards, Kevin and Stevi set off for the hotel where the reunion was held. Kevin looked at Stevi who was driving. "Why are you taking care of Enzo all, Stev?"

"Lho where's the harm? I just feel sorry for your mama because I was so confused."

"Yes, but we broke up. You better not be too close to my family."

"It's called effort. Who knows if I'm your babysitter, we can meet often and you'll love me."

Kevin did not respond to Stevi's insinuations. Both of them remained silent until they reached their destination. In the ballroom of a five-star hotel, there have been many alumni of one class of them who sit crowded with their respective groups, just like when High School used to be. Music groups consisting of school alumni enliven the event with songs they play nicely, no different from leading music groups. At least that's what Kevin thought.

Kevin and Stevi are joined by people he knows. Johan and Rafael and Akbar return to Jakarta to attend the reunion.

"Hi, Bro! How are you getting so skinny now?" johan to Kevin.

"Most times out. Who would have thought that Kevin now has a hand, even the three of us are still single!"

They are teasing each other, more precisely Kevin who used to not want to date but now comes to a reunion side by side with the dream girl of all men when in High School. Stevi laughed, making her look even more beautiful. Many men there were secretly envious of Kevin.

Kevin was quieter. The frenetic reunion event did not interest him. He simply came to keep his promise to Stevi. But there is one thing that he enjoyed from the event, namely the chants of his favorite song which is now sung by different music groups even though they are still both members of their school alumni.

I finally found you

When this heart begins to doubt

When the lyrics came out of the lips of the vocalist, Randy was seen coming with Jeany. They are very compatible with black clothes. Randy was wearing a black body-fitting shirt. The belt buckle he wore made him look dashing and cool. Jeany wore a slightly tight sleeveless dress, revealing her slim waist size. The girl's face also looks very seductive due to the salon makeup that Randy forced on her.

"Oh, is that really Jeany? Very different ...."

"Gue just found out Randy am Jeany's dating ...."

The whispers of their friends. Since entering the ballroom, Randy and Jeany have been the center of attention. Kevin, of course, saw them. He had to endure his turbulent feelings, especially after seeing Randy holding the hand of the girl he loved.

"Lo don't faint yet, Jean. Start with the belom." Randy felt Jeany's hands very cold and the girl's face turned white. He had never seen anyone else so nervous as Jeany.

"Fear, Ran. Everyone cares about us" Jeany complained. The girl was indeed more easily anxious when in the crowd of people she knew.

"Not be afraid. I will always accompany you here."

They approached Kevin and his friends. Devi and Sandra had also been sitting there.

"Cie cieee we have to ask for PJ. Finally Randy managed to be a Jeany." Johan welcomed his friend by charging him a treat.

"Eat the prayer you think!" randy's lips.

"Brand .... Is this our friend repenting?

"Lo don't want him to be unconverted, Jean! There's no eating heart mulu!"

Randy grinned at the babbling of his friends. "Gue aminin just yet."

"Is it not yet?"

"On process."

"Lo kayak again with credit only on process on process ...."

"Well, I can't get our PJs."

All regret the failure of their opportunity to eat for free. Kevin is not in it.

Akbar approached Randy and spoke with a serious facial expression. "Eh Ran, you still want Claudia?"

"Inget is." Of course Randy never forgets who he once had fun with.

"Do you know he's not sick anymore?"

"Engga. What pain is it?"

"Acute TB horrors. His body is very thin, now critical in the ICU."

"Pity. Is there anything I can help you with? Medical expenses maybe?" Randy's face showed his concern.

"Lo tau gak-" Akbar whispered something in Randy's ear.

"What's really lo, Bar?!"

Randy's face was in shock. He looked at Akbar without blinking.

"Take it. You know my sister's her best friend."

Since talking to Akbar, Randy has been quieter. Similarly, Jeany feels increasingly lifeless seeing Kevin ignoring her like there is no relationship between them. He could not get Kevin to talk because the young man was always mobbed by his friends.

Minutes by minutes passed, event by event passed. Somehow Jeany could last so long in that place, even though he did not enjoy it at all. Randy looked lethargic, not as usual. There is only one more activity left before the reunion is over.

As if impatient, Kevin immediately stood up and pulled Stevi's hand to advance to the dance floor. There were screams from their friends, teasing the couple who were considered the most stunning. Jeany could only watch it witfully. In vain he came to that place. The person he wanted to meet was not expecting himself.

Kevin's friends don't want to miss out either. Johan has his own partner. Rafael and Akbar pair up with Devi and Sandra. They walked forward following Kevin and Stevi.

"Lo see, Kevin loves Stevi. It's just a distraction for him. You bispak!"

Devi paused for a moment to whisper sharp words in Jeany's ear before walking back to the dance floor. Jeany frowned, not understanding the meaning of the last word spoken by Devi. The girl tried to ignore Devi's bad attitude towards her. It was precisely Kevin's attitude that he felt hurt him more.

"Lo want to dance, Jean?" take Randy to her.

"Engga, Ran, I don't care. If you want to dance with other people gapapa kok."

"Gue is lazy too."

"Lo why the lethargy, Ran? What's the girl Akbar's story on?"

"That's right, I didn't think of him at all. Just tired of maybe. Tired can't get your heart." Randy answered jokingly, but Jeany saw the young man's eyes tremble.

After that time was going very slowly. From her seat, Jeany noticed the couples dancing to beautiful music. The lighting on the dance floor was made dimly to create a romantic atmosphere. Jeany could still see Kevin holding Stevi's waist. The girl turned her face away.

On the dance floor, Stevi kept smiling. He held onto Kevin's shoulders feelingly, enjoying every second of his closeness with the young man. Maybe tonight was the most beautiful night of her time dating Kevin. For a moment he ignored the fact that he and Kevin were no longer lovers.

I don't think one song is over. Kevin took his hand off Stevi's waist. "Stev, I made my promise, didn't I? Now it's time for you to make your promise."

Stevi nodded, understanding what Kevin meant. The young man then walked towards the row of chairs he had left behind. His gaze was never separated from a girl who was sitting while looking down there.

Jeany was shocked when a hand reached out before her. He raised his head and saw Kevin smiling at him.

"Sorry to keep you waiting a long time. Would you dance with me?"
