Why Still Remember It?

"Non, this is his phone left in the kitchen."

Stevi's housekeeper voice becomes Kevin's savior. He immediately took off his hand and distanced himself from Stevi.

Without Stevi knowing, Kevin was thinking about something else. He thought about why his guilty feelings did not go away, thinking about why he still remembered every detail of the dark night.

At a time like this Kevin really hopes he can be like Randy who is free to relate to the opposite sex without feeling burdened. Maybe things would have been better if he had never known Jeany.

"Let's go now" he replied later. He and Stevi left without touching their drinks.

They went to the mall where Kevin and Jeany were watching yesterday, because there was a bag shop with the brand Stevi wanted to buy. Apparently he wanted to gift his friend a handbag.

"Your friends must be very happy you love this gift," said Kevin after seeing the price of the bag purchased by Stevi was twice the amount of debt Jeany owed to Rika.

"Yes my friend dong this papa has a car showroom everywhere. So you have to give me a rather expensive gift." Stevi smiled widely because her business of looking for a gift was done. Now it's time to shop for yourself.

Kevin's forehead creased to see Stevi take a bag of another model that cost a little more than the first selected bag earlier.

"You want to give gifts to your other friends too?"

"Son, this one's for me. How does it fit my shirt?" Stevi asked while slightly stylized in front of Kevin.

"But you just bought a bag" Kevin replied disapprovingly.

"The model is different, Yang. I found a suitable model. Rarely do I meet a bag that is a cute model like this," replied Stevi spoiled.

Kevin sighed. He knew he had no right to ban Stevi because her boyfriend used his own parents' money. But he disagreed with Stevi's behavior which he considered too frivolous.

Kevin himself is a fan of branded goods, and he can also afford it. But he bought it because he needed it. He always makes sure the goods he buys are not unused. Even the shoes he has there are only three pairs for different purposes.

"So, you don't have to buy any more bags" Kevin advised Stevi.

"Yes, Honey. You're like my mama anyway" Stevi complained as she pursed her lips. Kevin just laughed.

Stevie did not take Kevin's advice seriously. Although her mother often gave the same advice, she never refused. What's wrong with pleasing yourself as long as you can, he thought.

After paying for the bag, Stevi's hand now holds two large paperbags. As a good girlfriend, Kevin offered to bring her. They walked around the mall with Kevin's left hand holding Stevi's shopping bag, and his right hand holding her.

Two days later, the final semester exam began. Kevin left very early to pick up Stevi, as the day was the same.

When it entered the campus area, it turned out that the rain was falling with a swift thunder rumble making Kevin drive his car at a slow speed.

Suddenly Kevin remembered that Jeany had also taken the same course as them, meaning that the girl must have taken the exam today as well. Kevin turns his car into an alley that leads to Jeany's boarding house.

"We picked up Jeany yes, pity her rain" Kevin explained after seeing Stevi's bewildered face.

Inwardly Kevin wonders if his kindness towards Jeany has gone overboard. But he could not bear to imagine Jeany walking under the rain like today. Even though he was wearing an umbrella, a little bit of his clothes would definitely be wet with rainwater.

In no time, they had arrived in front of Jeany's boarding house. Stevi saw the building in front of him that was like uninhabited so unkempt.

"He's sniffing here?" stevi was surprised. He was a little disgusted to imagine that he was living inside the building.

"Yes here" Kevin replied without seeing Stevi's face. He's opening a contact list on his phone to contact Jeany.

"Hello, Jean. I'm in front of kos lo."

"Eh? What's the matter, Vin?" The girl sounded shocked.

"Yes want to pick you up so you don't get rained on. Let's not get late."

Not long after that, Jeany came out. He smiled as he opened the front door of Kevin's car. But his smile suddenly disappeared because he saw Stevi sitting in the driver's side seat.

Jeany who saw Stevi sitting in the front seat immediately closed the door and switched to open the back door of the car and entered into it. In his heart he cursed his own stupidity for not paying attention clearly before opening the front door of the car. Of course there's that girl. She's Kevin's girlfriend, the woman Kevin loves.

Jeany secretly notices Kevin's lover. Stevi looks so charming with her new hair. And himself? He saw his wet shoes dirtied Kevin's car carpet. His confidence which was already very thin was getting eroded.

"Luckily you have not left, Jean, if you can-you take the test while wet," joked Kevin to eliminate the atmosphere of silence that exists. I don't know why nobody started the conversation.

"Thank you for picking me up" replied Jeany.

"Jean, where are you real? If not Java, right?"

Jeany complained in her heart, thinking how to explain to Stevi without having to tell her the financial condition was not good. He is not a person who cares about prestige, but somehow in front of Kevin's lover he does not want to show his shortcomings.
