One Night's Mistakes (Love's Wrong)

One Night's Mistakes (Love's Wrong)
Please take care of Stevi

In a minimalist house, Kevin spoke with the mother of his lover who had asked to meet. He is now sitting on the living room couch, waiting for his interlocutor who looks thinner than the last time he saw him.

"I'm sorry Auntie disturbed your busy life" said Vira began their conversation.

"Come on, Aunt. It just so happens that this house is in line with my purpose."

Vira took her breath. "Well, one of the reasons I chose to contract this house is also because it is close to your campus. You must know the condition of our family, right?"

Kevin nodded. "Stevi told me. So will Auntie and Stevi move into this house?"

"Yes. I have signed a home contract agreement letter in a notary. Just move the stuff. While waiting for Stevi to be ready," Vira replied with teary eyes that left the young man stunned.

Kevin was just silent, not knowing how to behave to comfort the lover's mother. I don't know why lately he's seen women cry. He thought about Jeany again. He hoped the girl was okay.

"Kevin ...." Vira seemed unable to continue his sentence.

"Yes, Auntie?"

"She's father Stevi is sick ...!" Break the cry of the woman.

Mama Stevi recounted another test in her household. Her tears came down remembering the husband who is now in the other country. Kevin sat quietly listening to each of Vira's words with a sense of uncertainty.

"Lung cancer. Already entered stage four, already hit the bone," said Vira sobbing. "But his father still had a strong desire to heal. In Malaysia for one year already treatment, chemo, radiation. It was also what made his father unable to control his business and eventually went bankrupt. We're all trying to go through all this, but what we're most worried about is our only daughter."

"I mean Aunt, Stevi doesn't know that she's sick yet?" Kevin asked so because he remembered his girlfriend had told him that his father had come to Malaysia in order to work, not to seek treatment.

"His father insisted on not telling Stevi. Because he doesn't want Stevi stressed. Our son was too pampered, never difficult. It's all my fault. I wish I hadn't spoiled her so much ...."

"Sorry, Auntie, but I think Stevi should know. Don't let Stevi know when it's too late, he'll be hit harder" Kevin said carefully.

"Tante knows what you mean. But now Stevi's mentality isn't ready for that. Now every day he was crying and angry. Auntie's afraid she's depressed."

Kevin was surprised to hear that. "Is that so, Auntie? Because in front of me Stevi seems to have been able to accept the situation."

"That's because she doesn't want to look bad in front of you, she's afraid you're leaving, so she's pretending to be okay."

"I'm also unlikely to leave Stevi in this condition" Kevin said slowly. There was a strange feeling that he could not explain when he said that sentence.

Vira smiled as she wiped her tears. "I'm glad my son is dating a nice guy like you. In a few days I have to go to Malaysia, to be with Stevi's father. I ask you to take care of Stevi yes, because at this time he really needs Kid Kevin. Please be patient with him. If things get better, I'll tell him the condition of his papa."

"Good, Auntie."

In her boarding room, Jeany was filling out the academic leave application form she had taken from campus. He thought about it carefully. His body and brain will not be able to go to college while composing a thesis as well as working. They may not even go well. Better focus on making money first. If half a year is not enough to collect money, it will be continued into one year. After that, he could focus on college and compile a thesis.

He doesn't want to see Kevin at college anymore. His brain turned back on last night. It feels so shameful! Can he kiss a man who is still a lover of others? What's the difference between you and a seductress, Jeany? It was fitting that Stevi asked him to stay away from Kevin, as it was impossible to stay close without wishing for more.

After filling out the form, Jeany took a nap until noon because lately she was easily tired and sleepy. The three-day holiday given by Winda wants to be utilized by resting and restoring the body that he thinks is not healthy. He does not want to be absent again running his job as a nanny for Enzo. At least he should leave a good impression in the eyes of Kevin and his family.

The girl woke up with a pain in the stomach. It's only natural because since morning he hasn't eaten. He came out of the room and walked into the kitchen. No rice was cooked by Serly, his upperclassman. There are only a few packs of instant noodles in the closet.

Jeany thought for a moment. In this state of high stomach acid, eating instant noodles does not seem like a wise choice. He decided to walk out to find food. The advantage of living near campus is that food vendors are scattered everywhere.

After walking a few steps away from his boarding house, a familiar SUV approached him. Jeany pretended not to see and continued walking. The car followed him.

Maybe because he was depressed and a lot of thoughts, stomach acid rose to make him want to vomit. In a hurry he was forced to squat in a nearby sewer and spit out the cause of his nausea. The driver of the SUV came down and went to Jeany.

"Jean! You gapapa?" Kevin patted Jeany on the back anxiously.

Jeany just shook her head. Kevin then got into the car to get his bottle of mineral water. He threw it at Jeany. The girl used it to clean her mouth, then gulped down a bit of its contents.

"Let's go to the doctor!" take Kevin with you while helping Jeany stand up.

"I'm gapapa."

"What the hell, just threw up."

Hearing Jeany's words, Kevin could no longer hold himself back from getting angry. He had been waiting for the girl for hours near his boarding house in uncertainty, as he was also not sure Jeany was in that place. How nice he was to see Jeany out. But what he got was an expulsion.

"You want Randy to take care of you? That so?!"

"What's Randy ...."

"So you came up here what?"

Jeany lowered. "Send Randy."

Kevin immediately pulled Jeany's hand and told her to get in the car. Of course the girl refused.

"Lake in!" Kevin called out to Jeany.

"Don't want to, Vin, don't force me!"

"I SAID COME IN!"

Being yelled at like that made Jeany shocked. He immediately fell silent. Kevin was no less surprised. Why does he get rid of emotions like this? He was not an angry man, but why did he seem to be someone else when faced with Jeany?

Several pairs of eyes started to notice them from hearing Kevin's loud voice. Jeany got into the car obediently, not wanting to be humiliated any further. The young man then entered as well.

"Sorry yes I didn't mean to snatch you. I'm emotional" said the young man in the car in a soft voice.

"I'm hungry to eat."

Kevin held back his smile hearing Jeany's unexpected answer. But he was still worried about the girl's health. "Well, did we eat first and go to the doctor?" wheedled.

"Necessary. I'm just sick of heartburn because I'm late for eating."

"Sampe vomit?"

"Yes. It used to be, but it hasn't relapsed for a long time."

"Where do you want to eat?"

"So much where the important thing is there's the solution."

"Oh okay okay. Eating fried chicken?"

"Yes." Yeah."

Kevin drove his car to a fried chicken restaurant not far from their campus. Inwardly he feels Jeany's request is a bit strange, but he is happy that the girl is no longer away from him. As for Jeany, the girl also felt astonished by herself. Shouldn't he be no longer close to the young man? Why ask him to eat?

Kevin and Jeany wait for food to be served without talking to each other. Sitting face to face like that made both of them feel nervous, especially Jeany who last night shamelessly expressed her feelings through a kiss. This is due to reading too many romance novels, he lamented in his heart.

After the food came, Kevin spoke. "Are you sure you want to eat chili? I know heartburn can't eat spicy."

"Why do I want to."

Jeany devoured the food without caring for Kevin who watched her in amazement. "Ease, Jean? Lots of food too."

"Haha Randy also said so ...." Jeany answered cheerfully. It was not Randy who caused the girl's face to sparkle with delight, but the delicious food she had just eaten.

But Kevin has come to the wrong conclusion.

"How come you're still sick?"

Jeany felt her body for a moment before replying, "it's up."

"It's over with me somewhere."

"Where?"

"My apartment."
