I Can't Come

The elevator doors that Jeany was riding on closed. The elevator slowly moved up not long after the young man who had just entered pressed the number five button. Jeany prayed that the elevator would arrive at its destination soon, so that he could get out and no longer need to be close to the young man.

"Gue's never seen you in a club again." Suddenly the young man made a sound. His face looked relaxed as if he was talking to his sidekick.

"Gue has stopped" Jeany replied briefly. He tried to look calm even though his heart was racing.

"Oh yeah? Why stop?" asked the young man while raising both eyebrows.

"Gue's sure Kevin's told you everything's the same." Jeany declined to elaborate. He began to feel uncomfortable with the young man's attitude.

Why is he my personal problem? Deket aja.

The young man did not reply to Jeany's words because the elevator door opened on the third floor, followed by the entrance of two students. The two students seemed engrossed in talking to themselves regardless of the two people who had been in the elevator first.

Jeany rushed out after the elevator arrived on the fourth floor. But before coming out, his legs like tripping over something made him lose his balance. Agilely the young man who was talking to her earlier held onto Jeany so as not to fall over. He half hugged the girl.

"Be careful. It's not the first time you've acted recklessly" he whispered in Jeany's ear.

Jeany didn't say anything. He stepped out without seeing the young man's face. The incident in the elevator made him unable to concentrate on attending college. He was sure the young man was deliberately tripping his legs. Jeany wondered in her heart.

What does Randy mean by doing all that?

The quiet week finally arrived. Kevin didn't see much of Stevi during the quiet week. Although he longs to meet, he does not want to be a selfish man who takes the time to learn the lover. They will still have plenty of free time after the final exam of the semester passes.

Kevin was quite happy that Stevi fulfilled her promise to go for a walk. They decided to go to the mall while looking at what good movie was going on in the cinema. Inside the mall, they went in and out of the store as Stevi wished. Kevin just followed because there was no item he wanted to buy. He just wants to spend time alone with his lover, wherever it is not a problem for him.

Stevi likes to shop. He was busy picking clothes, bags, shoes and asked Kevin if the things he was holding were good. In the end, he bought a handbag. He bought a pair of shoes at the same store. And lastly he bought a branded watch with a triangle-shaped logo.

As a good lover of course Kevin wants to pay for the items purchased by Stevi. Money is not a problem for him. But the girl refused it.

"I've got a credit card, Vin."

"But I want to buy you."

"We're still dating unmarried. I don't want to be labeled as a matre girl. My parents can still afford my shopping" Stevi said with a smile.

"It's like eating and watching me pay. Can't refuse!" kevin said as he pinched both of Stevi's cheeks.

"Yes yes if you have to pay dong. You're the one who took the road." Stevi spoke as she wrapped her hands around Kevin's arms and led him to the cinema. Now he was no longer ashamed of being spoiled and friendly to Kevin.

They decided not to go to the cinema because Stevi said there was no film of interest. Actually Kevin is eager to watch his favorite movie that has just one week played in theaters, a space war-themed film. But has not been able to express his wishes, Stevi has commented negatively.

Kevin just smiled wryly. He had to undo his intention to watch with Stevi. Though the screening of the film in the cinema has been waiting for a long time. Let's just go watch it with Randy, he thought. Randy certainly will not refuse because his best friend is a cinema lover.

Hungry, they ended up going to a Korean grilled meat restaurant. This restaurant is also Stevi who chose it because he is a fan of Korean cuisine. Not yet had time to choose the menu, two women came to their table.

"Well, the artist of the campus. Instead of learning instead of dating," said one of the two women.

"Loh Devi's! Sandra! Oh my goodness, what a coincidence! Come and sit here and eat together!" take Stevi excited because he accidentally met his best friend.

"Thou ah afraid of disturbing," rejected Sandra while putting up a funny face.

"How disturbed? Not bothering you, honey?" Stevi asked Kevin for his approval.

"Yes not disturbing. No need to be confused. I'm a treat," said Kevin kindly. However there was a kind of strange feeling that arose in his heart because Stevi called him dear.

Stevi's two best friends finally sat down at a table with them, after Stevi had previously moved to a seat next to Kevin. They did not introduce themselves because they knew each other. Devi and Sandra are from the same High School as Kevin and Stevi but they are different faculties in college.

They talked while burning the meat of the order that had been served on the table. More Kevin did it because he was lazy to participate in the conversation between women.

"Kok y'all walk don't take me anyway?" stevi protests to his two best friends.

"We don't want to disturb you. We know you must be seriously studying. Not even dating here!" ejek Devi's.

"It's impossible to keep learning. Sometimes the way ama girlfriend is gapapa." Again Stevi showed his affection for Kevin.

"I can't see it strong. It's bucin lo ya. Oh yeah, Kevin's coming with us to Singapore, right?" devi asked outside of expectations.

"Singapore?" Kevin finally made his voice after a long time.

"Yes. You haven't told me, Stev?"

"I wanted to give you a surprise by directly giving you the plane ticket. But lo maen sambar!" Stevi again protested to her best friend. This time his face was pouting.

"Geez sorry sorry! I don't know. B*go is really me!" Devi apologized while berating herself.

"When are you going to Singapore, Stev?"

"Out of UAS, Yang. It just so happens that I have an empty apartment there, so it's up to us how long it takes to be there. The plan is two weeks to be satisfied. Return the day before value recap. You're coming with yah?" pinta Stevi is hopeful.

Kevin thought for a moment. There is no denying the feeling of disappointment because in fact he has other plans for the semester break later.

"I don't think I can come, Stev."
