One Night's Mistakes (Love's Wrong)

One Night's Mistakes (Love's Wrong)
The Similar Face

Henny returns to the school of her grandchildren. The face of the boy who was very similar to his second son always disturbed his mind. And this is where he now stands waiting, hoping to meet the boy. His waiting was not in vain. He saw the boy come out while running.

"Good day, son. Do you remember me?" Henny came over and smiled at the boy.

"Mother of yesterday!" The boy answered cheerfully.

"Have you been picked up?"

"Not yet" the boy replied as he did not see the usual figure coming to pick him up.

"Then we sit there first want to? I'm also waiting for my granddaughter to come out." Henny pointed at the bench near the security guard post.

The boy nodded.

"What's your name, son?"

"Kenny, Mum."

"Call me oma, like my granddaughter, if you call me."

"Yes, Oma."

"Oma will ask. You weren't afraid of oma?"

"Nrp ...." Kenny looked at Henny with his round eyes. Her innocent face really made Henny anxious.

"Aren't you afraid to see that oma is already wrinkled and has no hair?"

"Mama said, we can't judge others only from the outside" Kenny said, mimicking the mother's words.

"Do you understand what that means?"

"Significant. Mama said, when I was a child, my mom was very shy and timid, not daring to talk to people. Trus when playing to his house, mama did not dare to beat his parents. It was her birthday, only her mother was not invited. He said because my mom was not polite. My mom is just shy. So my mom says we can't judge others too easily." The boy spoke very fluently as the story had already seeped into his memory.

Ah, now Henny knows where the boy could have been so wise.

"Your mother was a great mother ...."

"Yes! Kenny loves mama!"

"If your face looks like a papa or a mama?"

"Mama's words look like papa."

"Would papa you be so handsome like you?"

Kenny shook his head. "Don't know. Kenny never met papa."

"Oh sorry. Is your papa dead?"

"Mama said, papa is in a far away place, hasn't come home until now."

"So you're just living together with your mom?"

"Yes. Papa went for treatment when Kenny wasn't born."

DEG!

Henny's heart started pumping irregularly. He looked at a face very similar to that of his son. At once the woman remembered a girl whom she had expelled seven years ago for claiming to contain the flesh and blood of her son. Possibly ....

"Kenny! Sorry mami was late, the car tire leaked ...."

Mita's arrival dismissed Henny's suspicions. She smiled kindly at the newly arrived woman, whom she considered to be an extraordinary mother.

One thing that Jeany is grateful for is the gap between her and Kevin in the office. He who is only ordinary staff does not need to be in direct contact with the main director's stakeholders. They hardly ever meet, only occasionally cross paths. When that happens, Jeany will pretend not to see. His heart was still too sore to greet the man as usual.

But he could not avoid the man.

"Jean, you asked Ms. Lisa to come to her room. He said he wanted to ask about the smooth payment of agents in Central Java," Prasetyo said that morning.

"Okay, sir I'm going there."

With heavy strides Jeany walked towards Lisa's room in the marketing division. He knocked on the door before opening it.

"Oh Jeany's. Enter, Jean! Here I again evaluate the credit limit for agents in Central Java. I need to know the smoothness of the payment. If it's not smooth, the credit limit should be reduced."

"Oh yes, Mom."

Lisa opened the document she had typed on her laptop.

"What about Sumber Rejeki?"

"Currently, Mom before it's due there's already a payment."

"It's nice that all the agents are like this."

"If Main Jaya?"

"That's usually two to three days late ...."

Lisa and Jeany had a serious discussion, until Lisa's phone rang.

"Oh no, camer I called." Lisa grinned widely.

Jeany's face immediately turned stiff.

"Hello, Ma? I'm in the office again. Not bother. The engagement photos are over? Yes, Lisa will be there, Ma ...."

Lisa was really well received, Jeany thought bitterly. He even called Kevin's mother as his mother.

"Sorry yes, Jean I don't feel good about not picking up the phone from Kevin's mom" Lisa said after Henny ended her call. "Oh yeah by the way you know who Kevin's ex is?"

"Don't know."

"Hmm, it's natural that you don't know. Just like I don't want to tell stories. He said why talk about the past, what matters now is our future."

"Oh."

I don't know why Lisa wanted so much to show off her relationship with Kevin in front of Jeany. Jeany did not seem interested. Although disappointed because he did not get the response he wanted, Lisa continued her boast.

"Kevin took the honeymoon to Europe, he said it was romantic. But I said in Indonesia alone, the scenery in Indonesia is no less beautiful with the scenery abroad ...."

Jeany was forced to listen to Lisa's long story with a hot heart.

"Oh yeah, Jean, I hear you're selling brownies, huh? A message for the day after tomorrow? Give Kevin's family a hand."

"Can't, Mom. It's been full order until next month, "reject Jeany quickly.

It was Prasetyo's thirty-two year anniversary. Like in previous years, he will share his happiness with his staff, even if only in simple terms. When lunchtime arrived, they one finance division went to a famous meatball stall near the office. Prasetyo deliberately chose the place to be able to return to the office before the break ended. It includes discipline in terms of time.

The finance division troupe runs into Kevin who also wants to go out to find lunch. Prasetyo and the finance staff greeted him immediately.

Kevin could see everyone greeting him kindly and politely, except for one who just stood still not looking at him. After many times, he understands that Jeany did it on purpose. Exasperated, Kevin looked at the woman sharply before turning to the manager.

"Good afternoon. Where are you going?" answer without a smile.

Prasetyo is not afraid of being treated coldly. He answered the younger boss with a smile.

"I happen to want to treat my staff to meatballs. Mr Kevin's coming?"

Jeany was secretly worried. He hopes Kevin will reject the offer from Prasetyo.

"Can. Is there a special event?"

The finance staff hid their shock at going to lunch with the chief director, something that had never happened before.

"Just celebrate a simple birthday," replied Prasetyo who also did not expect Kevin to agree to join. He was just chatting with his director.

"Oh, happy birthday, then." Kevin shook Prasetyo's hand.

"thank you. Come on, sir."

They walked to the parking lot. Trouble arises there. Kevin takes his own car but he doesn't know the way to the meatball stall. Prasetyo also told Febi the assistant manager to accompany Kevin and become a guide. But Febi did not answer, Kevin had prevented it.

"Let Jeany come with me."

DEG!

Jeany did not expect Kevin to mention her name. All his co-workers now looked at him question-marked. Why would their new director be able to name the quiet girl?

"Oh looks like Mr. Kevin knows Jeany, right?" Prasetyo began to understand.

"He's an old friend of mine."

"It's a coincidence. How come you never told me, Jean?" Prasetyo looked at Jeany with a curious face.

"Yes, Jean's out of this you owe us a story" whispered July in Jeany's ear.

"It's been a long time, sir," Jeany replied as he was.

"Come, Jean!"

Kevin immediately pulled Jeany's hand towards his car. The other staff saw them leave with their mouths open so in disbelief at what they had just witnessed. Even Prasetyo who has known Jeany from his wife also does not know if the woman has a close relationship with his new director in the office.

"Why are you kayak gini?! Gossip can come up!" Jeany rebuked Kevin after sitting in the man's car.

Kevin kept looking ahead, starting to drive his car. Jeany thought the man would not give an answer. But not long after, Kevin answered in a cold tone.

"When do you want to pretend you don't know me?"

Jeany snorted and turned her face to the window on her left. "So we never knew."

"Why do you have to believe this?"

"Because I hate you." I hate you who so easily forget me ....

Kevin tightened his grip on the handlebar. It deserves to be hated. After taking Jeany's chastity without the girl's will, she almost makes the same mistake again. He has hurt Jeany so deeply that he makes her end their relationship.

The two were silent until they arrived at the parking lot of a meatball stall that was quite large. Prasetyo's car was parked there. Jeany frowned realizing something.

"You know the way here" he accused.

"I've been here with Lisa."

"Bas a liar," Jeany murmured softly but was still heard by Kevin.

"If I don't lie we won't be able to talk to each other."

Jeany silently bit the lips holding the pain in her heart. Why else would Kevin approach her if she intended to marry another woman? She recalled Lisa's face when she told her love story with Kevin this morning.

"I hate you, Vin."

After saying that, Jeany opened the door to get out of Kevin's car. But the man suddenly grabbed her wrist, holding her back from going down. For a while they remained in such a position. Kevin held Jeany's hand without any intention of speaking. The woman also remained silent as if she did not want Kevin to take his hand off.

"Sorry" said Kevin after a few minutes. He took off his grip on the woman.

Meanwhile, inside the meatball stalls people were waiting for them impatiently.

"Kok they don't get out of the car anyway?" ask Juli curiously.

"Still talkin'" replied Febi.

"I'm already a very laper .. but it's not good to eat first" complained Anet.

"Gue can't wait for Jeany's interrogation, like he's so close to Kevin!"

Prasetyo shook his head at the behavior of his staff. But in his heart he was also very curious.

Kevin and Jeany walked in. Since they entered the very last, there were only two seats left beside Prasetyo. Jeany had to sit next to Kevin.

"I've ordered first because it's time to hold out, sir," Prasetyo said as Kevin sat next to him.

"Yes gapapa."

The bowls of meatballs were in front of each of them. As the others began to eat, Jeany's eyes were still wandering around looking for something. Kevin immediately stood up from his seat and walked towards the next table.

"Excuse me, ma'am, is this still in use?" Kevin asked the occupant of the table, pointing at a bottle of sweet soy sauce.

"Just use it, Brother."

"Thank you." Kevin smiled sweetly making the heart of the financial staff who had noticed him beat fast.

The man returned to his seat and handed Jeany the ketchup bottle. Again, everything there was broken.

"Thank you" replied Jeany stiffly. He poured the bottle into his bowl. His heart was a little touched because after a long time Kevin still remembered little things about him.

The people from the finance division were eating in an awkward atmosphere due to the presence of the main director in their midst.

"Sir Kevin long lived in Singapore?" Prasetyo started a conversation.

"About seven years."

"Over long, sir."

"Yes." Yeah."

At that moment Kevin felt Prasetyo look at his face without blinking. Feeling breathless, he looked back and immediately asked, "is there something wrong with my face?"

"Oh ingga's. Just I feel Mr. Kevin's face is very similar to the person I know."

"Oh? Who?" Kevin raised his eyebrows.

"My adopted son."

"Yuk!" Jeany chokes on a meatball sauce she hasn't swallowed perfectly.
