Defending Infidelity

Henny approaches Jeany who has just finished changing Enzo's clothes in her room. After returning from Bandung, the cute baby had a rash so that for a while not wearing diapers, making Jeany had to change Enzo's clothes often every time the baby urinated or had a big bowel movement. Mama Kevin smiled satisfied to see the nanny of his granddaughter who looked so painstaking in his eyes.

"Jeany," he called out as he gave the girl a maternal smile.

"Y-yes, Auntie?" The girl was always nervous when faced with Kevin's parents.

"You're friends with Kevin's girlfriend, right? Can you tell the aunt how?"

"Ehm yes o-the people are beautiful and kind."

Jeany stuttered a little because she was suddenly asked about Stevi, all she could do was answer honestly. Stevi is beautiful and kind. Henny looked pleased with Jeany's reply, her smile expanding even wider.

"Then can I ask for help?"

"What do you ask for, Auntie?"

"I put a cake for his girlfriend Kevin in the hospital, yes, you haven't looked at him from yesterday. I called Kevin earlier, he said he was probably out of the hospital late afternoon because he was still waiting for his doctor to come. Let's take it with Agus." Henny finished her sentence by naming her family's private driver.

Definitely Kevin's girlfriend is very special to be able to change my son, so I have to show attention also so that the relationship with Kevin can last," said Henny at length with a face that looks happy.

"I don't think Kevin is cold, Auntie," Jeany replied honestly though she was upset that Kevin's mom thought Stevi was special.

Henny smiled. "You are special too. Never before had my daughter had a close friend. You're the first."

Jeany replied with an awkward smile. The girl stopped smiling after seeing the look on Henny's face that suddenly turned sad. Mama Kevin sighed, his eyes glaring far away trying to dig up the bitter memories he had buried deep.

"I can't tell you the details. But without me realizing it seems like I have instilled fear in Kevin until he does not want to be close to the opposite sex. Now I have to right my wrongs by helping his relationship with his girlfriend get to the marriage stage."

It was painful to hear that Kevin's mother had thought far to marry the young man to Stevi. But Jeany covers up her true feelings, pretending to know nothing in front of Henny.

The girl's confused face made Kevin's mother laugh. "I'm confusing you, aren't I? Yes, no need to think about it. You change clothes first, I want to tell Agus to prepare the car."

Jeany is confused, but not because of Henny's story. The girl was puzzled by her current position that could not refuse Henny's request. He was also afraid of the reaction of Kevin's mother when she found out soon her son would break up with his lover because of him. Thinking of all that, Jeany changed her clothes without passion. Then he went downstairs.

"How come you're not wearing the bag I bought in Hong Kong?" Henny frowned seeing that Jeany was still wearing a bag whose skin had been peeled off in many places.

"Sa-I'm not feeling well, Auntie ...," Jeany replied. What do people say when they wear that expensive branded bag?

"Why not good? You are so cute wearing that. The bag matches your calm nature. Let's change the bag."

I feel bad, Jeany lamented in my heart. He was forced to go back to his room and move the contents of his bag into the gift bag from Mama Kevin.

Stevi returned the arms of her two best friends with teary eyes, thanking her for Devi and Sandra's sincerity towards her. Kevin watched the three girls embrace with a bad feeling. He hurt Stevi even when the girl was in need of support from those closest to her.

But today he regretted that he couldn't take a stance sooner, after his mother called and asked the room where Stevi was treated. He forbade his mother from coming. The young man reasoned that today Stevi was able to go home. He thinks it's better his parents and Stevi don't need to know each other because he's soon to break up with the girl.

"You don't go there, you know you don't like the hospital atmosphere" Henny replied before closing the call.

The sound of the door being knocked before the person knocking opened the door. Everyone in the room was shocked to see who was coming.

"Sorry I'm disturbing. I'm here to be"

"Well, did you come here?! Girls are shameless! Don't pretend to be good! Stevi went to the hospital, to be free to cheat on her man!" Devi immediately rebuked Jeany with scathing sentences.

Jeany sighed in heart. He should have been able to estimate the whereabouts of Stevi's friend who hated him so much.

"Dev, don't yell at ntar scolded by the sisters" Sandra said. He actually could not bear to see Jeany being treated harshly by Devi, but as Stevi's best friend he could not seem too defensive of Jeany either.

"Devi! Keep talking lo! Jeany is not what you said!" Kevin stood up from his seat to warn Devi.

Stevi's best friend was sniffling. "Lo see for yourself, right, Stev? Nowadays many people are shameless, blatant defiance of his infidelity."

Stevi just kept quiet, didn't scout Jeany, nor did she defend him. He didn't lie when he said he hated Jeany. If he obeys his heart, he wants to feel like he grabbed the woman who has taken her lover. But Stevi did not want to damage the self-image that he had built with difficulty, the self-image that had managed to make Kevin fall in love with him.

Jeany walked over to Stevi. "This is Kevin's mom's cake for you, Stev. He said that you would get well quickly" he said, handing out a box with the logo of a famous cake shop to Stevi, who received it with a slight surprise. He looked at Kevin.

"You're back from Hong Kong, Yang?" he asked, deliberately still using affectionate calls as if there was no problem whatsoever in his relationship with Kevin.

"Udah."

"Well, make envy camer of your attention, Stev." Devi said while glancing at Jeany.

Stevie smiled happily. "Yes, we don't know each other yet."

"That's tomorrow you have to introduce yourself dong, not polite if you don't return the kindness of camer lo."

Stevi nodded with a timid smile. There was little hope in his heart to have a chance with Kevin if the young man's parents liked him. He is determined to win the heart of Kevin's parents, at least in the few days that remain.

Sandra looked at Jeany with pity. She said the girl was not evil, just couldn't control her feelings. If Kevin also reciprocates Jeany's feelings, maybe Stevi should be the one to step down. Let's just say he hasn't been a match for Kevin.

Kevin pulled Jeany's hand out of the room. He didn't want to see Jeany constantly being cornered. Stevi ended up crying loudly, unable to endure the turmoil of her emotions watching her lover holding another woman in front of her. Kevin stopped hearing Stevi's cries.
