One Night's Mistakes (Love's Wrong)

One Night's Mistakes (Love's Wrong)
Wait for Me

"Why go to your apartment, Vin?" Jeany looked at the handsome face that would later always fill her mind. His heart was racing waiting for the young man's reply.

"Later you know, too," Kevin replied with a smile.

"You want to talk here."

"Who said he wanted to talk?"

"Trus wants what?"

Kevin leaned his body closer to Jeany. "You did what you did last night" he whispered as he looked straight into the girl's eyes.

The girl's face immediately flushed. He cut off his eye contact with Kevin. Suddenly Kevin laughed at the thought of last night. She knew it took a lot of courage for the shy Jeany to kiss her, proving how much she loved him.

"What's so funny?" jeany asked because she felt like she was being laughed at.

"So, nothing. Yuk!"

Kevin stood up from his seat. When he saw Jeany still hesitating, he grabbed the girl's hand and pulled her gently.

"Don't worry, I won't make a mistake a second time."

Jeany nodded in understanding. He believed in Kevin, because he knew the young man was very sorry for his actions. Her heart ached again thinking of Kevin who regretted having been in contact with her. He was foolishly in love with the young man.

In the car, Jeany felt Kevin often looking at her with a smile. He decided to pretend to be busy looking at his phone. There were some missed calls from Randy, but he chose to ignore them, not wanting to play the young man with false hopes. Just this morning he accepted Randy's offer to drive him.

In an instant they had arrived at Kevin's apartment building. The elevator they were riding on arrived on the eleventh floor, the floor where Kevin's apartment was located. Jeany walked with heavy steps. When he went to that place for the second time the other day, he did not have time to think anything because his entire senses were confused by the intense nausea that caused him to vomit. But now he really feels bad. It was in that place, however, that he lost his purity.

Kevin entered his apartment door password while looking at Jeany who looked a little pale. "Still nauseous?" ask when they come in.

"Relgan."

Actually Jeany was still a little nauseous, so little that she felt no need to mention it. After eating usually the nausea will disappear by itself. He is more nervous than nauseous.

"You want hot tea?"

"Relgan."

Kevin then leads Jeany to walk towards the window of the apartment. When the girl was stunned by the view of the city she saw from the window, she felt Kevin pull his long hair to the side and hook a necklace behind his neck.

"Vin, this-"

"Make a replacement for the necklace you are selling. Not exactly the same model. I'll look for the same one later" replied Kevin still standing behind Jeany.

Jeany fingered the necklace pendant, worried between accepting or not giving the young man. I don't think he'll ever see Kevin's disappointed face again. "You don't need to change that necklace. I wanted to sell it myself" he said later to Kevin.

Suddenly Kevin wrapped his arms around Jeany's waist and held her tightly from behind. The girl instantly felt her entire body unable to move due to being too shocked by Kevin's treatment. Is this a dream?

"I'm sorry ...." The young man said softly in Jeany's ear. "I'm sorry I ruined you. I'm sorry I made you feel pain."

Jeany was still silent, but tears had welled up in her eyes.

Fretting about not getting an answer from Jeany makes Kevin beg the girl. "Please don't stay away from me, let me take responsibility."

The girl bit her lower lip. "Are you this out of pity?" ask her with a sad feeling.

The young man immediately flipped Jeany's body to face her. "Not."

"Painful?"

"Maybe at first I felt guilty, at first I felt sorry. But don't know since when, I love you."

Jeany's tears finally spilled. Kevin immediately grabbed the girl into his arms.

"You're not lying to me anymore, are you, Vin?" Jeany's voice was slightly muffled as her face was stuck to Kevin's chest. He inhaled deeply the fragrance of the young man's perfume, the fresh, masculine fragrance he loved so much.

Kevin tightened his arms. "I'm sorry I'm so late to realize how I feel."

Jeany let herself be in the young man's arms for a while. The pair shared the warmth and comfort that made them reluctant to let go of the embrace. But Jeany wanted to make sure of one thing.

"What about Stevi?"

"You're gonna break him up, aren't you?" urge the girl again while raising her face to look at Kevin.

"I can't break him yet."

"Why? You still love him?" Jeany asked as she held back the tightness in her chest.

"Now is not the right time. He still needs me" said Kevin slowly.

Jeany released herself from Kevin's embrace and took a few steps back, away from the young man.

"You can't let go of Stevi because she gave you everything, right?" jane half whispered. Her tears almost flowed back.

"Give me everything?" kevin asked confusedly.

"Don't pretend you don't know!"

"You mean ML? Where can you draw that conclusion?"

"Do you do it often?"

"Jeez, Jeany! You think I'm that guy?!"

"All guys are like that! Just as I can, let alone the same"

Everything happened so fast. Somehow Kevin's right hand was behind Jeany's head, holding her back from moving. While his left hand embraces the girl's waist until their bodies stick together. Jeany couldn't believe the young man was mow*forcibly on his lips. He just silently did not dare to retaliate, while feeling his racing heart very quickly pump his blood throughout the body.

Kevin is secretly satisfied to find an opportunity to do the thing he wanted to do since last night. Jeany's lips felt so sweet and soft, making her want to explore longer. The young man tilted his head to be able to squeeze even deeper. Kevin's lips slowly traced Jeany's jaw and continued to move down until it was finally anchored in the recess of the girl's neck.

"Vin, stop .... We can't gini ...." Holding back a strange tingle, Jeany attempts to stop Kevin. He was afraid that the young man could no longer control himself.

Kevin kissed the girl's lips again, probably to make her stop talking. But Jeany is not under the influence of drugs, his common sense says that what they are doing is wrong. With all his might he pushed Kevin's chest.

The young man finally stopped, but he did not keep their faces away. In such a close distance he stared at Jeany right in both of his eyes. His gaze was as if misty, implying the desire he had to endure.

"I can't even smell Stevi" he said with a hunting breath. "Please trust me. You're the only girl I've ever touched."

"Then why can't you break him up?"

Kevin took a breath. He recalls Stevi once said he was not ready if people knew about the bankruptcy problems of his family. At least he should respect Stevi by not telling anyone, including Jeany.

"I can't tell you a story yet. It's a personal matter."

"And you wish I could trust you?"

"Please understand my position. I used to chase him to be my girlfriend. Now he still needs me so much, I can't break him up. That's it."

"When are you gonna break him up?"

"After he's ready."

Jeany closed her eyes for a moment. The pain in his heart was so painful. He knew he could not demand much, as he was the third man between Kevin and Stevi.

"I understand your position. That's why I keep my distance. I think it's better to keep our distance until you've completely broken up with Stevi."

"Jean, I-I"

"No woman wants to be drafted, Vin. If you choose him, I will back off. But if I'm the one you chose, you're gonna have to break him up."

Kevin looked fixedly at Jeany's face which looked very serious with his words. "I'll break him up as soon as possible. Please wait for me" he said, giving the girl an answer.

Jeany nodded, but her heart hesitated. Seeing Kevin so heavy to take Stevi off, the sense of happiness he was looking for was still out of reach.

***

That day Stevi spent putting her things in cardboard boxes. So many used cigarette boxes that out of nowhere had been prepared by the mother, but not enough also to accommodate the girl's belongings.

Nobody helped Stevi. Her mother went out of nowhere. His friends do not yet know the plan of his move. And the lover whom he expected to come did not show his presence. Later that night, for the first time in his life Stevi needed sleeping pills in order to fall asleep.
