One Night's Mistakes (Love's Wrong)

No Need to Be Sad

Jeany deliberately stalled for time before returning to the room she left behind. He hopes the conversation of the people in the room has changed to another topic. Anything as long as it's not a story of Kevin's affection with his lover.

The girl did not understand why Kevin was looking at her when he came back and sat down on the sofa, and it was no coincidence that the person sitting next to him was Randy.

"Very long, Babe? I almost sucked it out."

Jeany only smiled faintly, not intending to answer.

"Lo's really going to college next semester, Jean?" Stevi desperately hoped the information she heard from Randy was true. Everyone was now focusing on Jeany.

At once Jeany glared her eyes at Randy. He does not like his personal business to be known by many people.

"I think someone will be there again. Don't forget the treat!" goda Johan is excited. It was good to eat for free, he thought.

"He's Jeany's best friend and my best friend, too" replied Randy, stressing.

Everyone was now busy looking through some brochures given by Kevin.

Sandra followed her best friend's request. He recorded one by one the menu that his friends wanted to order. He called the restaurant to send a message. While waiting for the food to be ordered, they enjoy the snacks brought by Randy.

Everyone voiced their opinions, except for Jeany. He felt uncomfortable being among them, wanting to go home but found no good reason. Kevin realizes it, but he can't do anything about it because Stevi is always clinging to him. He was upset with the girl anyway. His frustration grew after seeing Jeany now engrossed in chatting with Randy.

"Geez, Stev, how come your face has pimples?" show Devi who just realized the change in her best friend's face.

Stevie held her face nervously. He had tried to cover the acne with concealer, but apparently the effort did not give the results he wanted.

"Don't you match the cream from the clinic?" Sandra also questioned the appearance of pimples on Stevi's face.

The girl pecked with various bad thoughts in her mind.

Kevin kept the lipstick in his bag. He secretly breathed a sigh of relief because Stevi believed him. The girl now sat with her head resting on Kevin's shoulder.

Randy did not participate in the conversation because he was busy taking Jeany's heart. The girl was very enthusiastic about their current chat topic.

How not enthusiastic, he has long wanted to read the novel with the title, one of the titles that is claimed to be the best work of the author of his favorite novel.

When the ordered food comes and they enjoy lunch, Kevin again holds back from being upset to see Jeany exchanging side dishes with Randy. Though the girl just moved the vegetables she did not want to eat to Randy's plate, just so as not to be wasted.

They did not gather too long in Kevin's apartment, deliberately wanting to give the young man alone time with his lover. Of course, the proposal comes from Devi to help her best friend's romantic relationship.

"Vin, we go home first. You're taking Stevi home, right?" randy asked, who didn't want to be away from Jeany.

"Yes my boyfriend let me deliver."

One simple sentence from Kevin but painful to Jeany. The girl could only stop. He is wrong to love someone else's lover.

Everyone came out of Kevin's apartment, except Stevi, who was to be escorted home by the young man. Jeany came out last. His longing made him want to talk to the young man, even if it was only a few words. At least ask if he has really recovered from his pain. But when he turned his head, what he saw from the door that was still open was the sight of Stevi who was hugging the lover tightly.

Jeany immediately turned her face away. Her eyes were hot as it held back the tears. Suddenly Randy wrapped his arm around the girl's shoulder. "You don't have to be sad" she whispered in Jeany's ear.

Hugged by Stevi, Kevin sees Randy embracing Jeany. He saw the girl's departure with anger and tightness in the chest. So does Jeany who left Kevin's apartment with an additional wound in his heart.
