Time to Forget about you

A twenty-eight-year-old young man set foot back in the homeland after almost seven years. Not much change on his face. But now there was no more warmth in the glare of his sharp eyes. His heart had been frozen from the wounds in the past that were still so deep in impact.

The man came home in a taxi. He didn't want anyone to pick him up at the airport. He did not even want to return to Indonesia if not for the request of the mother, because it could be the last request of the woman who had given birth to him.

"Kevin, mama misses you, son ...." Henny hugged her newly arrived son home longingly.

Kevin returned Henny's embrace. He felt his mother's body increasingly frail due to cancer that gnawed at him. They sit in the middle room. Other family members are at their work.

"But I'm not interested in connecting with any woman right now."

Kenny nodded his head in pleasure. The mother and son waved each other before parting all day. Mita shook her head looking at her stubborn but tough best friend.
