Stevi entered his room with a satisfied heart. He put the bag of groceries on his bed. After a long time finally he can invite his friends to meet and have fun together. Now he doesn't have to fear the death of style. The source of the new income had been wide open to him.
One thing that disturbs Stevi's mind is that her ex-boyfriend accidentally saw her get into her date's car. Just one time and it's been broken. That is why he refused to be picked up at the campus. Next time he does not want to compromise on the issue of the pickup place. Of course there are still other times because he is starting to like his new job.
The girl opened her shopping bag. He had bought some new clothes for college and sightseeing. The clothes he had considered were outdated. It has become a habit to always follow the latest fashion trends. Luckily he gets a very loyal date in return, which is quite satisfied with just hands and mouth.
The next day he went to college as usual, and met with his friends as usual. No one knows his side job. The car is still not sold, maybe the mother did not have the heart after hearing it sob on the phone.
After college hours ended, Stevi walked down the campus, about to go to the toilet. Near the toilet, he met his ex-girlfriend. The young man immediately held him.
"Stev, I want to talk."
"Nothing to talk about."
"Just a minute."
Kevin immediately pulled Stevi's hand to follow him. He took the girl up the elevator to the quiet top floor of the student. No one thought their attitude was strange. Some of the students who saw them thought the two were still dating.
After arriving on the fifth floor and making sure there was no one else where they stood, Kevin immediately asked, "you know Rika?"
"Why indeed?" Stevi's attitude is still unfriendly.
"Denger, Rika is a very dangerous person. He's the one who's been framing Jeany until he's unconscious and almost harassed by om-om."
"But you're finally sleeping with Jeany, right? Who is the real danger here?"
Kevin was momentarily made not wince by Stevi's words.
"OK I admit I was wrong. But that's not the problem now. The most important thing is that you have to be careful with Rika. If you need to not contact him again. Block number. So that he doesn't throw you into the wrong company."
"Know what are you? It was Rika who helped me out of trouble!"
"Help you in what way? Not with a nightclub, is it? Who picked you up yesterday?" asked Kevin with horror.
"I want to see how it's none of your business. We take care of each other's lives, don't bother each other."
"Stev, you should know your papa is sick again!" Kevin could not bear to tell that secret anymore.
"What do you mean? Papa what's the pain?" asked Stevi flabbergasted.
"Your mom asked me for this secret so you wouldn't be surprised. But I think you need to know. Papa you have lung cancer, it's late stage. All this time in Malaysia papa you're not working but taking medication."
Stevie closed her mouth in surprise. The girl's eyes began to tear.
"No, not possible .... Why does this all have to happen to my family???" lamented pilu.
Stevi looked so devastated, making Kevin a little unbearable. If they were still lovers, maybe at that time he would hug the girl. The young man just stood waiting for Stevi to cry to his satisfaction.
"Don't get rika, Stev. Please remember the face of your father who is now fighting for his recovery. Remember your mama's face that would be very sad if she knew her son chose the wrong path."
Stevi was still speechless, dissolved in her grief and anger. He did not accept the decision of his mother who did not tell such an important thing. Her father was very ill and she was not told! He does not accept the fate of his life that must get misfortune repeatedly.
"Stev, I told you I'd never leave you. If you need help, you can call me. Jeany is ready to help you. Please don't ruin your future" Kevin said.
Stevi snorted with a cynical smile. "After cheating behind my back now you want to pretend to be a good person?"
Kevin stared intently at Stevi before giving his final piece of advice. "Do not let your heartache make you unable to think clearly. Please remember your parents." He then left the ex-lover who he thought was very stubborn.
After a ten-minute walk, the young man arrived at the pujasera near his campus. He had made an appointment with Jeany to meet there. The lover who was going to buy him a meal was sitting at a table, waiting for his arrival. The girl smiled happily as she saw the person she was waiting for had stood before her.
"Where was your first day at work?" kevin asked after they ordered two bowls of noodles and two glasses of sweet iced tea.
"Thankfully tensed .... Total time can be difference. Fortunately the owner was patient. I was told to recalculate and it turned out that the amount of money matched the sales report. But I'm still not very good at reporting." Jeany told me with excitement.
"Teach you just came in. The important thing is to be focused and careful."
The girl nodded.
"You know, yesterday I got a lot of tips from customers. If every day we can be rich."
Jeany's expression was like a child who was happy to get candy. Kevin watched his lover with anxiety at once dear. Little things like getting a tip alone make the girl happy.
"When did you start working at your cousin's?" ask Jeany.
"Two more days, let's fit the date one" he said."
Jeany's face became a little grim. "Later we will rarely meet. Is this so if you have entered the world of work? The day after tomorrow also Kak Serly want to go to Tanjung Pinang."
"Why did he go there?"
"Place work there. Great yes finally his ideals for work in a big bank achieved."
"You alone dong in the boarding house?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"Be careful, the fence should always be locked. Where the gang kos you deserted again ...." Kevin showed a worried face.
"Not really quiet."
"Eihh you are! Next time don't play that game! Brother Serly see you don't ...." Jeany covered her face with both palms in embarrassment.
"Ma-cook?" Kevin was surprised, but not embarrassed. "Sorry, time is running out."
Jeany still had her lips.
"It's a pity to see even Serly. It should be that sneak who sees" said Kevin with an annoyed face.
"Amit-amit don't take Randy to see. It's so shameful to wear it!"
"Belvin. Let him know you belong to me and don't take you anymore."
"By the way about Randy, I don't feel good about him picking me up. Want to take the bus but have to change a few times and have to walk quite far. I think I want a monthly ojek subscription."
Kevin exhaled with a sad face. "I'm a useless guy. I should've picked you up."
"Why do you keep talking about yourself being useless? You don't have a duty to pick me up."
"It's useless. All this time I lived a good life because of my parents' money. Without them I can't do anything."
Jeany clasped the hand of her lover who was hit by the crisis of confidence. "You're living a hard life like this for me, how could I possibly deem you useless? Don't think about it again. Mending now we eat, it's laper really."
After eating, Kevin and Jeany walk home. Seeing that there was still time before his girlfriend left for work, Kevin decided to stop by the girl's boarding house. The young man sat on the terrace looking at a used motorcycle advertisement on an online buying and selling application. He wants to buy a motorcycle to be able to pick up the lover.
Jeany who was sitting next to him suddenly remembered something. "Vin, did you forget to take your medicine?"
Kevin was silent.
"Vin?"
"Medicine me abis, Jean."
"So you don't need to take any more medication? Or how?"
"I don't know either. I have to consult a doctor first."
"How many days have you not taken your medicine?"
"Three days."
"Today you should see a doctor. What time does the doctor practice?"
"Jean ...."
"Must, Vin. I don't want you to do anything."
"My money is not enough ...." Kevin answered softly, knowing the cost of consulting a doctor and the price of drugs prescribed are not cheap.
Jeany was stunned to hear Kevin's confession. He didn't think that way. "Help me off this." The girl held her necklace.
This time it was Kevin's turn to be stunned. The young man ruffled his hair in frustration. "That's a sign of my love for you. You want to sell?"
"Make your medical expenses, Vin. The important thing is to heal first. Please .... You have to be healthy, right? He said he wanted to marry me?" Jeany almost cried when she said that.
With a tight feeling in the chest Kevin took off the necklace hook that was coiled around his lover's neck. He put the necklace in his bag. After that, he just sat quietly. His mood is really bad.
"Don't bete that dong. Next time I can buy another necklace." Jeany tried to cheer the young man up.
"I'm sorry I haven't been able to please you."
"That's it again. I'm pretty happy now."
"When you're in the middle of the day, I'm making my eyes hurt!" Suddenly a sentence was uttered with annoyance.
Kevin and Jeany both turned their heads toward the source of the sound.
"Randy? What the hell are you doing here?" jeany asked in surprise.
"You pick you up. I deliberately came along so you haven't had a message," replied Randy with a grin.
"I told you not to pick it up again."
"Father, Jean, take it. There's a free driver." Kevin interrupted their conversation after seeing the sky filled with dark clouds. He didn't want Jeany to be rained on.
"Hehehehe has given up on you?" randy Ledek.
"In your dreams."
Randy laughed and turned to look at Jeany. "We're leaving now, Jean. Fear of getting stuck because of the rain."
Jeany nodded after seeing Kevin nod. He changed his clothes to the uniform of a restaurant employee. Meanwhile, Randy had gotten into his car.
"You've been to the doctor" Jeany told Kevin, kissing the young man's cheek. Kevin wanted to avenge her, but the girl had run away leaving him. Obviously because of shame.
After that Kevin went to the pawnshop. He deliberately mortgaged Jeany's necklace, not sold it. Once the money is enough he will make it back. The necklace had a special meaning to him. With the necklace she declares her love for Jeany. Armed with the money he received from the pawnshop, Kevin went to the hospital that used to take care of him when he had an accident.
