One Night's Mistakes (Love's Wrong)
Don't Be Afraid, There's Me

All her life, Jeany had never met a person who held her words as deeply as Kevin. The young man always kept what he promised Jeany. It's just that, if usually the girl always receives Kevin's kindness, this time she must act otherwise.

"I can't, Vin. Try to find someone else." Jeany refused.

It feels very different if Kevin's house will be his workplace. His head immediately shrunk. The girl prefers to work somewhere else, a place where no one knows her.

"Lho why? He said he wanted to?" kevin sounded disappointed.

"I have no experience ...."

"So he said he'd take care of your sister?"

"Ehm .. Who's child wants to be cared for?"

"My brother's son."

"I'm not experienced, Vin. Your brother must be looking for a professional. I don't want to worry about your family if my work isn't good" Jeany said.

"Jean, it's only until the end of next month. After my sister-in-law resigned, she could take full care of the child. I don't think so hard about his son." Kevin tried to convince Jeany.

"But, Vin-"

"Jean, don't be afraid, okay? I'll help you" said Kevin softly.

"What age are you eating?" ask Jeany whose defense is beginning to falter.

"Next week is one year."

"You sure I can? Sure your house guy agrees?" Jeany tried to make sure again.

"Yes I'm sure I'm the same as you."

Kevin's last words seemed to sedate Jeany. He just accepted the job offer.

"When should I start work?"

"Tomorrow, because the day after papa mama I want to go to Hong Kong. You should meet them first."

Oh my God, why is it so scared to meet Kevin's parents? jeany screams in my heart.

"Jean? Hello?" Kevin called because he did not get a response from Jeany.

"Yes hello, Vin. WA-in your address yes, tomorrow morning I'm there."

"No, I'll pick you up tomorrow."

"Don't, Vin, I don't want to take care of you" Jeany refused.

"Don't bother. Can pass the toll. What do you want to go to my house?"

"Get ojol."

"I'll pick you up. I wanted to tell my mom if I got a babysitter. Bye." Kevin ends his call before Jeany can answer.

Jeany sighed and immediately went into her room. The girl searched the internet for articles on how to babysit a one-year-old baby. He spends all day reading articles on how to care for a good child. Jeany wanted to do her job properly so as not to embarrass Kevin who had given her the job.

The next day Kevin actually picked her up. The new clock shows at seven in the morning when the young man's vehicle arrives at Jeany's boarding house.

"Udah ready? No one's missing?" kevin asked after the girl got into the car.

"Yes there is no." Jeany replied with a tired face.

How not to get tired, all night he was agitated at the thought of going to Kevin's house and meeting with the young man's family. Anxiety makes him able to fall asleep in the last third of the night.

His anxiety increased after the car he was riding out of the toll gate, which meant getting closer to Kevin's house. Jeany bit her lip, trying to calm her uncontrollable heartbeat.

"Why you?" kevin asked who saw Jeany twisting her fingers.

"Are we back, huh?" take the girl to wash.

"Huh? Why?"

"My stomach mules ...."

"You have stomach pain? Can hold? A little more until my home," replied Kevin trying not to panic.

"Not .... I mean ... I can't be a babysitter in your house ...."

Kevin cringing. "Next gini? Did you agree yesterday? It was still gapapa this morning."

"I don't care, Vin .... I'm scared ...." Finally Jeany expressed her heart.

"Jean, just close your eyes."

Jeany looked at Kevin with a questioning look.

"It's just like I said," said Kevin softly.

Jeany closed her eyes.

"Now take a deep breath through the nose, and exhale through the mouth. Do it a few times."

"Where? Mellifluous?" ask Kevin after a while.

Jeany nodded without opening her eyes. He continued the ritual of pulling and exhaling until his heartbeat returned to normal. After that, he opened his eyes. "Thank you, yes" he said smiling at Kevin.

The young man saw Jeany's fingers still clinging to each other. Following his instinct, he stretched out his hand and clasped Jeany's fingers.

"Jean, don't be afraid. There will be me." Kevin said in a soft soothing voice.

"Yes, Vin. Sorry .... You must think I'm weird, right?" ask Jeany to be embarrassed.

Kevin mer*mas fingers the girl. He could feel the previously cold fingers slowly warmed up because of the touch of his hand.

"Not that you're weird. Everyone has their own unique side. I'll play a song so you can relax."

Kevin played his favorite song popularized by the band Naff. An old song that he never tired of hearing. The melody of the song is simple but beautiful in hearing. He asked for a CD of his brother's collection of music albums because he was happy with the song.

I finally found you

When this heart begins to doubt

I finally found you

When this body wants to dock

I wish you were

The answer the wolf worries my heart

And let myself

Loving you to the end of my age

Jeany also seemed to dissolve in the rhythm of the song. He pervaded every word the singer spoke, wondering how happy it would be if the young man beside him sang that song for him.

Kevin no longer talks to Jeany. He let the girl enjoy the song from the CD he played. The songs from Naff's band play melodious in Kevin's car, bringing a different atmosphere that until many years later they both still find it difficult to forget.

Without feeling they've reached Kevin's parents' house. Jeany saw the security guard open the fence for them, and saw a house that stood majestically waiting for them. Really rich, he thought.

"With it down, we're at my house" said Kevin.

Before getting out of the car, Jeany took the time to take a deep breath and exhale slowly. He walks after Kevin enters the classic-style mansion.

After entering the house, they were greeted by a middle-aged woman holding a baby.

"Ma, this is my friend Jeany. Jean, it's my mama." Kevin introduces each other to his mom and Jeany.

"Good morning, Auntie," Jeany said as she extended her hand to greet Kevin's mother.

"Yes good morning. Let's sit down first" said Mama Kevin kindly. He could feel Jeany's nervousness from her cold hands as they shook hands.

Jeany was so relieved to see Kevin's mom take it warmly. He was not so tight when he was in the car.

"Call me Aunt Henny. Kevin's father and the boy's parents have already left for work. Auntie, please take care of this aunt's granddaughter, Jeany. You can, right?"

"Yes can, Auntie," Jeany replied politely.

Mama Kevin then gave a note that contained a schedule of bathing, eating and drinking the baby's milk. "The food will be Pure Bi who makes it so you just love it. Drinking milk does not have to be as in the schedule, depending on the child if you have asked for it. Milk making equipment is in the nursery" he said.

In her heart Jeany wondered if a one-year-old baby could already show her desire to drink milk. He took notes in his mind to find out about it on the internet when the opportunity arose.

"Come, Jean, I'll show you the baby's room!" get Kevin excited.

The young man stood up to take the baby out of his sling and made a gesture to Jeany for the girl to follow him.

"If you'll excuse me to come in first, Auntie," said Jeany politely.

Mama Kevin nodded with a smile. He secretly notices his second son who treats Jeany with unusual. He could see Kevin's gentle gaze on the girl.

Is that girl really not her boyfriend?
