Chapter 71: All right, friendship will be forever

Three days after William and Est finished the trial, their group finally left the Holy Temple.

Although William felt sad about suddenly getting nerf, he decided not to think too much about it. The group was currently taking a short break by the river, before continuing downstream.

'It's only been five years, ' William thought while swimming in the river. “After those five years are over, I will be even more eager to train my strength and become an OverPower (OP).

Ian's face darkened when he heard William's words. A part of him wanted to refute it, and the other half suddenly became anxious.

'A-Did he realize it?' Ian looked at William anxiously. 'No. it's impossible. Only a few know about our secret!'

"why are you quiet?" William is arrogant. "your tongue becomes a hoax?"

It was rare for him to make Ian go silent. Seeing the annoying boy unable to return frustrated William reduced by a good margin.

“Hmp! I will not argue with a fool like you, ” replied Ian as he ferociously walked towards the carriage, leaving the arrogant-looking William behind him.

Est looked at this conversation and shook his head helplessly. He had already told Ian not to be too cruel to William, but William could not help but quarrel with him every chance he had.

The handsome boy with light brown hair and eyes, judged the red-haired boy from where he was sitting. Like most boys, William's body was still developing. Her wet red hair glistened in the sun, and her pale white skin glittered with water droplets.

As Est observes her body, she sees a black rose tattoo on William's chest. It was as big as an adult's hand, and quite attention-grabbing.

"William, have you always had that tattoo on your chest?" Est asked.

“Tattoo? What tattoo?” William asked back.

“That tattoo is on your chest,” Est said as she pointed at her own chest.

William looked down and looked at his chest. When he saw the black rose tattoo, a frown appeared on his face. He had a hunch of where the tattoo came from, but he still asked for confirmation from the system.

William stared at the tattoo on his chest with a complicated expression. In the end, he sighed and answered Est's question.

“Alright, you can stop there.” William shook his head. “I told you and I'll say it again, I didn't do it just for you. He finished swimming and it was time he put on some clothes. “As for the gift you want to give me, I don't want to. Receiving a gift from a friend feels awkward.”

“You don't want to?”ask William.

William chuckled as he looked at Est's reaction. He did not mind being friends with someone who had fought side by side with him in a life and death battle.

William walked towards Est with a refreshing smile. A drop of water still fell from his hair as he reached out to the handsome boy in front of him. The latter also extended his own hand and held William's hand tightly.

"Hello, my name is William Von Ainsworth, just call me Will."

“Est Wells Newmont's. Just call me Est.”

"Is that your real name?" ask William.

"For now" replied Est. "I'm sorry, I actually wanted to tell you my full name, but I don't have the right to do so."

"It's okay. So what about your two best friends? ” William asked. “Who is their real name?”

“I-That's..” Est averted her eyes. “I also have no right to answer that question.”

"So they're just Isaac and Ian for now?"asked William while rubbing his chin.

"Yes." replied Est briefly.

"Well, if so." William nodded his head.

Everyone has their own secrets and it would be wrong if he dismantled them. Since Est and she are now officially friends, she decides to ignore Ian's rudeness for now.

"Well, I've decided!" Est looked at William with determination. "I'll take you back to Lont city."

“Eh? Take me to Lont city? ” William tilts his head in confusion. "Why?"

“Because it would be dangerous for you to travel alone,” replied Est. "Since you can't use your magic power, I'll ensure your safety."

William can see that Est is very serious when he says that he wants to drive him back to Lont. For a moment, he thought of rejecting his offer. However, the firm grip on his hand made him feel that Est would not accept no answer.

"Okay, thank you so" William said with a smile. “We don't have fancy food in Lont City. However, if you do not mind eating porridge, and drinking goat milk then I will gladly host you for a few days.”

"No problem, it looks like it's delicious." Est smile.

The two handsome boys looked at each other with smiles.

"Hey, how long are you two going to hold hands?" asked Ian annoyed. “Also, red-haired boy, are you an exhibitionist? Why are you not wearing any clothes? ”

Est's face flushed red as she subconsciously looked at William's body. He had not thought of anything before, but Ian's comments made him realize that William was still not wearing any clothes.

William, on the other hand, simply rolled his eyes as he walked towards his Mama Ella. 'I'm wearing pants okay? Who do you call an exhibitionist?'

He wanted to say those words, but decided to let it go.

'I wonder how Grandpa and the others will treat my new friends?' William pondered as he thought of the loving family waiting for him back in Lont City.
