William was unable to go to the Goblin Crypt for two days because his ring was being modified by Barbatos, the Iron Clever of Lont City.
Of course, that's just one of the reasons. Although William hated to admit it, he somehow returned the trauma of entering the Goblin Crypt after they had faced off against the Hobgoblin Shaman.
Similar to when you have a car accident, you will have the subconscious fear of driving again once you put yourself behind the wheel. Of course, this fear will fade with time. Some even say that the sooner you deal with it, the less traumatic it is.
William gave two days to prepare his heart and mind for the inevitable confrontation that would occur in the future.
James had come to look for him a few hours ago to tell him that he was going to bring some Lont City veterans to attack the back of the Beast Tide.
William thought that his grandfather would take him on this expedition, but the old man only said that he should stay in Lont. His reason? According to reports, there were over twenty Millennial Beasts, and Hundreds of Centennial Beasts.
They are the ringleaders of Beast Tide. However, one should not forget the large number of low-level beasts made up of other Beast Tide. According to estimates, the number easily surpassed one million.
It was no wonder that Windermere Fortress was invaded. The number was impossible to fight with half-baked strength. Only a True Master could fight a High-class Monster and live to tell the story of their encounter.
'I don't think I should be too greedy, ' William thought. 'Getting another 'Bonus Round' might maximize my work level, but it would also make me stand out. I guess grandpa didn't want me to show up at the beginning of this game.'
Despite his slight regret, William still thought that staying humble was the best. Since he had the Ring of Conquest, it was only a matter of time before he leveled up his job class to the maximum level.
There is no need to be in the spotlight if possible to hide in the dark.
Two days passed quickly. William and Ella go to the Blacksmith to get the ring she ordered.
"So? Do you like it?" Barbatos asked. “I set aside my other commissions to work only on your ring. Your father saved me once on the battlefield, so this is the least I can do for his son.”
"It's perfect" replied William. "Thank you, Mr. Barbatos."
“Well, I'm glad you like it. Leaving now. I still have work to do. ”
"Thank you one more time".William
The conquest ring had a complete change. It was now coated in gold and several rune letters were embedded on the surface of the ring. If it were not for the fact that William could feel the bond he had with the ring, he would have thought that Barbatos had given him a different ring to deceive him.
Seeing William's happy expression, Barbatos felt that all the efforts she had put in these past two days had not been in vain. It was not easy to put charm on the ring because it was a ring forged with Tyr fire, which could only be found within the Demon Kingdom.
William bowed many times to express his gratitude before he left the workshop. Barbatos watched him leave with a smile.
When the boy was no longer in sight, he returned to his workshop to pursue the assigned work he had set aside over the past two days.

“William, yes! William!” Theo called out to him when he saw William walking past his house. "Where are you going?"
"I? I'm going back home. Why?" William asked back.
“I'll go with Chris and the others to fish in the river,” replied Theo. “You joined us?”
"Don't you? Alrighty! I'm coming!” William nodded his head.
He had been confined within the city ever since the Beast Tide and it had an impact on his mental health. Fishing on the river is a good distraction.
The river was only three hundred meters away from the West Gate of Lont City, so the adults guarding the gate decided to turn a blind eye to the children who were staring at them with begging eyes.
"Well," said the guards after careful consideration. “You can also swim in the river, but not too far. Is that clear? ”
He could understand what the children were going through, so he decided to be a little more lenient towards them today.
""Yes!"" answer the children in unison.
Like a bunch of freaks, the Lont City children cheered and ran towards the river. Of course, some adults followed quietly to keep them out of the shadows.
William and Ella took the lead while the other children followed behind her. When they reached the river, some of the older children took off their clothes and jumped to swim. Naturally, not everyone joined them. Others are content with dipping their feet in water to relieve their boredom.
What the children were unaware of, was that the horde of Dark-Scaled Crocodiles was currently at the bottom of the river. These crocodiles, which were over five meters long, had hidden themselves when Beast Tide struck the Western Region of Hellan Kingdom.
Together, they migrate towards Lont as this is a place that survives the disaster. Initially, they planned to hibernate for several months, but the boisterous sounds of children swimming over them made these cold predators open their eyes one by one.
Their animal instincts told them that this opportunity was something they could not miss!
