After the battle, Owen assigned William to guard Celine, while he went to take care of the wounded during the defense in Lont City. Celine is not in any danger. He's really exhausted.
While doing the experiment, he did not eat or drink anything because what he did required extreme focus. Fasting in this way was fine since he was already used to such a lifestyle. However, being dragged to fight in a high-level battle when not in its peak condition would still affect the state of his body.
William looked at the beautiful woman with pity. His skin was pale, his hair was disheveled, and his face looked extremely withered. Even so, she remains beautiful. The boy could not help but praise Celine even in her current state.
Right now, he was taking his Master back to his house while riding on Ella's back. Celine was very light, so it wasn't difficult for William to hold her in place. It didn't take long for them to reach his home in the outskirts of Lont City.
“Mama Ella, can you open the door for me?”
“Meeeeh.”
Ella pushed the door with her nails and it opened without a fight. Due to William's power status, it was quite easy for him to carry Celine with both hands.
"Brawler! Uwaaaaaaak!!” Oliver, the monkey parrot, yelled from his perch. "Bitch!"
“Silence, Oliv!” William replied with annoyance. "Teacher's sleeping, don't be noisy."
Oliver looked down on William with disdain. It was a little upset that the boy dragged his employer during an important experiment. The parrot monkey then looked at Celine and returned to William before clicking his tongue.
“Utilizing mistress when she was unconscious. Boy, don't you have any shame? ”
“Eh? Can you speak correctly? ” William's eyes widen in surprise.
“Of course I can talk. I'm not a little monkey like you,” Oliver replied in annoyance. “Bring the mistress to the second floor. Make sure not to do anything indecent, or I will bite you to death.”
"I'm just a ten-year-old, how could I possibly do something indecent."
"A ten-year-old boy?"
The parrot monkey scoffed. "Son, others may not know, but I know that your soul does not belong to this world."
"What are you talking about?" William stuttered.
The parrot monkey looked at the boy before raising its claws and pointing at the stairs. “Let's talk after you lay the mistress down properly. I also have a lot of questions for you.”
William looked at the parrot monkey anxiously before heading for the stairs. His mind was chaotic and several questions popped up in his head.
Ten minutes later, he was already sitting at the dining table on the first floor. He did not know how the parrot could prepare tea. But, everything was already put on the table when he returned from his duty of bringing his Master to his bedroom.
Oliver seemed to be in a good mood, and the snarkiness from before had completely disappeared.
"Drink your tea first" Oliver said as he stood in the middle of the table. “We very rarely have guests, so I do not have time to make a cake. However, we still have cookies. I hope you are according to your wishes. ”
William obediently took a sip of his tea, after he put it back on the dining table. He was more curious about how the parrot monkey knew about his identity.
Ella stood beside William's chair. She was also curious about what the parrot monkey wanted to talk about with her baby.
The goat does not care about William's past or identity. The only thing she knew was that she had raised William since he was a baby. Even so, his curiosity took hold of him, so he decided to stay and listen.
William looked at the parrot monkey with a complicated expression. Part of him wanted to roast the monkey to keep his secret awake. The other half wanted to bury Oliver deep in the ground, so that his secret would remain.
Oliver feels William's murderous gaze and decides to take the initiative to speak.
"Don't look at me like that" Oliver narrowed his eyes. “I mean you have nothing wrong. I'm just surprised that someone like you was born in this world.”
"What do you mean, someone like me?" ask William. “What do you know about me?”
The parrot monkey grinned as it picked up a cup of tea and sipped on it to quench its thirst. “I don't know much. All I know is that your soul does not belong to this world. However, you cannot be considered as Someone Else because you were born naturally. It just means that this world has accepted you as its own, which is a very rare occurrence.”
“Transmigrant? You mean those souls who cross space and time and have the bodies of the dead or dying?” Oliver asked back. “Yeah, there are some cases like that. My Madam Grandfather is one of the Transmigrants you mean.”
"Wait, wait." William looked at Oliver with a serious expression. "There are transmigrants in this world?"
"What's so surprising about that?" Oliv tilted his head. “The world is very wide. That possibility must exist. Although, their number will not exceed the number of fingers on one hand. The Gods would not allow more than five individuals in each era. ”
"You're talking about the Other World, what is it?"
“To put it simply, they are people from another world.”
“You think I'm one of them?”
“At first, yes.” Oliv nodded his head. "But, since you were born naturally, you don't count that way."
“Then how do you know?” William asked the most important question. "Do you have the power to see one's soul?"
Oliv laughs. Because his head was like a monkey, the laughter sounded annoying in William's ears. “Right now you are ten years old, but the soul I saw using my abilities is older. If I have to guess boldly, you are in your late teens or early twenties, but no more than that.”
'It's bad, ' William thought. 'If there is anyone else with this ability then I am in big trouble!'
"What you think won't happen, so you can relax." Oliver convinced. “My ability is unique and it is something given to me by my creator, Lord Darwin. I am pretty sure that only I have the ability to see through the soul of someone in this world.”
William heaved a sigh of relief upon hearing Oliver's explanation. Although he still did not know what kind of ability he possessed, he wanted to believe that it was telling the truth.
Seeing the boy finally calm down, Oliver decides to tell him the real reason why he wants to talk to him.
"William, I want to ask you something."
“I'll listen to him first. Whether I can do it or not will depend on my mood. ”
“Cih. You're like your grandfather. Always bid for profit.”
Oliver shook his head helplessly before uttering his request.
“You don't have to make this request right away because right now you are still too weak and too young to go to that place.” Oliver explained. "All I ask is that you do your best, because Madam's life is at stake."
William frowned, "What do you mean Master's life is at stake?"
Oliver sighed as he lowered his head and looked at the table. “A long time ago, on the continent of Silvermoon, there was a family of elves named Rayleigh..”.
