“Est, can you complete this task?”
"I can, just relax."
"Good." A woman who seemed to be in her early thirties nodded. “Your father expects great things from you. Don't disappoint him.”
"I will do my best, Mother," the boy looked at his mother with a serious look. "I won't let you and Dad down."
The woman sighed and pulled the boy into her arms. He then rubbed his head affectionately for a while before letting go.
“Nana, Herman, I leave Est in your care.” The woman looked at her two loyal followers. “Make sure he returns safely from his mission.”
"Yes, Madam."
"With your will, Madam."
Ten minutes later, a wooden carriage walked out of the city walls and traveled into the darkness of the night. Their destination was the Holy Temple. The boy looked out the window of the carriage as they left the glorious city.
'Don't worry, Father, Mother, I will finish my mission, ' Est swore while looking at the stars in the distance. 'Your Majesty, Lady Astrid, please, keep an eye on me.'

“Brrr! The water is so cold!” William shuddered as he washed his face using the water in the river. He had just woken up a few minutes ago, and decided to wash his face to remove the remains of his last sleep in his system.
Ella walked beside him and gave her morning greetings.
“Meeeeh.”
“Good morning, Mama Ella.”
“Meeeeh.”
After their daily greetings, William took out a wooden bowl from his storage ring and milked his Mama Ella. Even though she was already ten years old, she still drank her milk every day. Wh why? Because Ella's milk is delicious.
Also, Ella would nag him if he didn't drink his milk every day. William could drink it straight from the source, but he decided to use the cup instead. Ella doesn't seem to mind this change in her baby's routine. The only thing he cared about was whether William drank his milk or not.
< Daily Quest: Drinking Milk is done! >
< Reward: 6 Points Exp. >
'I still don't understand why this quest still works to this day, ' William mused as he looked into the notification window.
Back when she was a baby, she relied on this daily quest to gain some experience. Now, this notice reminded her of a time when she was a weak and frail baby who could only stand still and wait to be fed every day.
A nostalgic smile appears on William's face as he recalls the evil he and Ella had during his childhood. He would become dazed when he felt a wet sensation on his cheek.
“Meeeeeee.”
"Sorry, Mama Ella," William apologized as he stroked Ella's neck. “I'm reminiscing about the past.”
“Meeeeh?”
“Un, when I was a baby.”
“Meeeeh.”
“Time passes so quickly. Everything that happened like yesterday,” William closed his eyes while hugging Ella's neck. “I'm very lucky to have you, Ma.”
“Meeeeh.” Ella closed her eyes and placed the side of her face on William's cheek. The mother and daughter pair remained like this for a few minutes. They only stopped when they felt other goats starting to wake up from their sleep.
William prepared a small fire to warm Ella's breakfast and milk. Ella and the other goats drank from the river and chewed the grass until they were full.
After eating their breakfast, William, Ella, and the goats continued their journey.
As William passed through these villages and towns, the young man would spend a few minutes praying inwardly to the people who had died in the incident. As someone who had a memory of his reincarnation, he knew that these people would also be given another chance to live their lives again.
The only difference is that they will no longer remember anything about their past lives.
“I pray that you all find happiness in your next life,” William prayed while kneeling on the ground. “Hopefully your days are beautiful and bright.”
The goats stood quietly by his side as they looked at the ruins. They did not make a fuss and waited for William to finish his prayer.
It was then that he heard the sound of a carriage being pulled from behind him. William did not move and continued to pray. He did not feel any hatred coming from the carriage, so he decided to continue his prayer.
The boy thought they were just passing travelers, so he ignored their presence.
When William finally finished his prayer, he was surprised to learn that the carriage had stopped several meters away from him. The boy frowned and looked at the goats. For a moment he thought the goats were blocking the road until the car had to stop.
Seeing his flock standing in neat rows and away from the main road, the worry in William's mind disappeared. The boy looked at the carriage and saw a middle-aged man sitting in the coachman's seat smiling at him.
"Lad, are you familiar with this place?" ask a middle-aged man with gray hair.
"I'm sorry, but I'm not a local in this area" William replied. "I just passed by and saw these ruins."
"I understand." The man nodded his head understanding. “Then, can you tell us where the Holy Temple is located?”
"You're also on your way to the Holy Temple?" William smiled. "What a coincidence. I'm also heading to the Holy Temple.”
"Oh? Have you been there before, son?”
"No. This is my first time traveling outside my home city, but I brought a.” map
“Can I see your map, son? I just want to know the general direction of the temple. ”
"Of course."
William walked towards the carriage while taking out a map from his storage ring. He handed the map to the middle-aged man very kindly.
"Son, you mustn't be too trusting of others," the middle-aged man said with a solemn expression. “What if I'm a bad guy? I'll probably grab this map and leave you.”
"My goat is a good judge of character" William replied. “Since they don't make a fuss then it means you're not a bad person.”
"You trust your goats so much?"
"I trust them with my life."
The middle-aged man did not know whether he should laugh or cry seeing the boy's naivety, but William's carefree attitude left a good impression on him. The middle-aged man nodded his head several times as he checked the map.
It had been many years since he had gone to the Western Region and the recent disasters had changed the scene drastically. The landmark he remembered no longer existed, so he had trouble finding a path that would lead him to the temple.
Fortunately, he sensed William from afar and decided to head towards him. His bet paid off and he was rewarded with a map that would take him to their destination.
"Thank you" said the man, returning William's map. "You're saying that you're also traveling towards the Sacred Temple, why don't we travel together?"
"Destiny has brought us together" William commented. “I will accept your offer to travel together. The more the more the merrier.”
"Ha ha ha! You're an interesting kid.”
“Not only attractive, but also handsome.”
“Guahahaha! What a great guy, I love!” the middle-aged man gave William a thumbs up.
William grinned and boarded his Mama Ella. The middle-aged man was a very social person and he kept chatting with William as the carriage and the herd of goats walked side by side.
