Chapter 61: Are You Happy, With Your Life Now

A day later, the group finally arrived at the Ellisfell Mountains where the Pantheon of Courage was located. They needed to travel for another four hours to arrive at the temple courtyard located in the middle of the mountain.

William, who was riding Ella, took the lead to check if there were any hidden dangers along their path. The goats walked behind him, forming two lines, while being wary of his surroundings.

“I have never seen this sedisciplinary Angorian Goat in my life,” Nana said with great admiration. “If this was a week ago and someone told me that Angorian Goats can fend off Mountain Trolls, I will definitely spit on their face.”

"Is the Anggorian goat really this fierce?" Est asked. After seeing William fight with his herd, he is very tempted to keep the Anggorian Goat back on their land.

“Of course not,” replied Nana firmly. “I've seen many Angorian Goats and all of them are meek like sheep. The goats under William's care were quite abnormal, especially the one he called Mama Ella.”

"Snack." Est frowned. “During the battle, that goat named Ella changed shape. He was much bigger and more terrifying than his current appearance. Nana, do you recognize the form she changed during the battle?”

"Yes." Yeah." Nana nodded. “If I am not mistaken, he took the form of the Angorian War Ibex. In the North of the Kingdom, there was a tribe of warriors living on the mountain. They were extremely fierce warriors and the mounts they rode on were the Wild Angorian War Ibex who lived in the great mountains of Kyrintor.

“The War Ibex were fiercer, and more deadly than the War Horses bred for war. Trying to conquer their land by force would only lead to countless deaths. "Is that maybe an evolved creature?" ask Ian. “I heard that some creatures can change their appearance once they raise their rank.”

“The possibility exists.. No, I think this is the only possibility,” Nana agrees. “From every angle, Ella looks like a regular Angorian Goat.very likely..”.

Nana's eyes widened as a consciousness struck her. He's not the only one. Est also thought of the same possibility and it made her stare at Nana in disbelief.

“Do not say..” Est gulps with difficulty. "There's a chance that the goats that followed William will also evolve into the War Ibex?"

Ian and Isaac exchanged looks. The battle that took place a day ago was still fresh in their minds. They could still remember how Ella fought the mountain trolls on flat ground while the other goats attacked from the side.

The battle back then was a dead end. However, if all those goats evolved into War Ibex then the Mountain Trolls would definitely perish at that very instant!

“Not possible,” Ian directly refuted. “Very few creatures can evolve and the goats are definitely pets. I have never heard of the Angorian Goat that evolved into the War Ibex. Maybe Ella is the War Ibex taken from the North. Since Grandpa William is a strong man, getting it is not impossible.”

Isaac nodded at his brother's conclusion. Even Nana thought this explanation was very logical. If the Angorian Goats could easily evolve into War Ibex then the Hellan Kingdom would have War Ibex legions under its command.

“When we return to the plantation, have someone visit Lont City,” order Est. “We need to learn more about this safe city of Beast Tide.”

"Understood." Nana nodded her head. "Should I also dig up William's personal information?"

“Yes, but be careful when doing so. Also, I want you to know more about William's Master. The man he tied up as a slave.”

"Understood."

Four hours later, the carriage stopped in front of the Pantheon of Courage gate. The guards guarding the gate told them to get down because the carriage was not allowed inside the temple grounds.

William was worried that the guards would not allow his flock to enter. Fortunately, the guards did not seem to mind and even told the boy that the current Chief Priest who lives inside the Pantheon of Courage was very fond of animals, especially goats.

After doing some initial checking, the group was finally allowed to pass through the temple gate.

"It's bigger than I thought" William said as he stared at the giant building in front of him.

Although the temple's design was impossible to compare to a building in the modern world, it still gave William a surreal feeling that made him look at him with admiration.

Suddenly, the main entrance of the temple opened and several female priests came out to greet them.

“My name is Sarah and High Priestess have asked me to welcome all of you, guests coming from far away,” Sarah said with a smile. “All of you, except goats, can follow me into the temple.”

Est, and her entourage, follow Sarah as she walks back inside the temple. Another pastor walked up to William and offered to guide him to the stable where the goats could rest and feed while they waited for his return.

"Thank you, Brother," William bowed respectfully. “I'll accept your offer.”

"A very funny boy" the priest smiled and lightly pinched William's cheek. "Follow me."

When they arrive at the stable, William asks Ella to look after the goats while he enters the temple. According to the priest, who guided the red-haired boy to the stables, William had to follow protocol and perform a cleansing ritual before he was allowed to enter the inner temple to talk to the Gods.

The priest explained that the ritual would take an entire day because it also involved several hours of fasting.

"Mama Ella, take care of everyone for a day or two" William said as he hugged his neck. “Make sure they do not cause problems for the priestesses in the temple.”

“Meeeeh.”

"All of you, be sure to behave yourself, okay?"

“Meeeeh.”

“Meeeeh.”

“Meeeeh.”

“Meeeeh.”

After getting the promise of her flock, William follows the priestess to the temple. The priest took her to the bathroom where she was supposed to clean her body properly. William took off his clothes and bathed properly.

William sat on the prayer mat while looking at the marble statue of a beautiful knight holding a sword with both hands. His long hair was tied into a ponytail, and his eyes were filled with compassion and affection.

William had just been kneeling on the prayer mat for ten minutes when he suddenly felt extremely sleepy. He tried to resist the drowsiness, but his eyes became heavy every second.

'I guess I'll take a nap first, ' William thought sleepily on the prayer mat. A minute later, the red-haired boy was sound asleep.

“Ufufu. Brother, if you don't wake up soon, Lily will kiss you~”

'Umm? Lilies?' William's hazy thoughts slowly dissipated as a familiar voice woke him from his sleep

“Sister, you can keep sleeping. I promise that Lily will make you feel very good~”

William opened his eyes just in time to see Lily about to kiss his lips. If not for the fact that he had seen his true form, he would have gladly accepted the kiss and might even return the kiss.

Unfortunately, what was seen could not be invisible and William hurriedly used his hand to block the lip of the loli from touching his own lips.

"Lily, take good care of yourself" William said as he pushed the face of Goddess Loli away from him.

"Che ~ Sister is so evil," scowled Lily.

"wait. Lily?" William's eyes widened as he looked at the little Goddess in front of him. "What are you doing here? Where's me?"

William observed his surroundings and found himself floating in space surrounded by countless stars.

“This is a place where Gods talk to their believers,” explains Lily. “You can even say that this place is the boundary between life and death. I believe you call this place 'Limbo' on Earth.”

“Um? A place where Gods talk to their believers? ” William frowning. "If that's the case, why isn't Gavin here?"

Lily's frown increased by one level and her fingers moved at lightning speed to pinch Wiliam's waist.

William screamed like a little girl because Lily did not hold back while pinching him. It made the youngster realize that he was not dreaming and the loli before his eyes was real.

“Sister, you are so evil. Does this mean you don't want to see Lily?” Lili narrowed her eyes.

William knew that if he gave the wrong answer, the pinching round would happen again.

"Of course, I want to see you" replied William.

William did not lie when answering this question. Although Lily's original form looked like an old midget, Goddess Loli had treated her well during her stay at the Ten Thousand Gods Temple. If William ignores her appearance, Lily is someone who fits him perfectly.

"Thul? You want to see Lily?"

“Y-Ya.”

“Ya!” The goddess Loli jumped up and hugged William's waist. He then looked at William with upside down eyes that looked cute and adorable. “Gavin is coming soon. He only dealt with some issues with Issei and David, so they asked me to come and meet you here first.”

"I understand." William sighed and strengthened his heart. Deep down, she wants to accept Lily regardless of how she really is.

She then took the initiative to pat Dewi Loli on the head which made her close her eyes like a satisfied kitten. William continued to comb his hair for two minutes. A few seconds later, he heard ******* coming from Dewi Loli.

"Sister, you're really good," Lily murmured as she lightly pushed William away.

"Lily flower?"

“Let's sit down and chat. I'm sure Big Brother has a lot of questions to ask Lily.”

As soon as he said those words, a dining table appeared in front of William. Some dishes were placed on the table and everything looked delicious.

"Let's talk while we eat, Brother." Lily beckoned William to sit down.

William obediently accepted his invitation and sat down on the chair facing Lily.

"Are you not going to eat?" Lili asked.

"Let's wait for the others to come" replied William. “It will be more fun if we eat together.”

Lily gave William a sweet smile that made his heart beat fast.

"Sister, Lily wants to ask you a question."

"Continue. As long as it's not Math, I'm sure I can give you the right answer.”

Lily chuckled while putting her chin on the back of her hand. She then looked at William with her sweet, bright, and red eyes. He wanted to ask a question that had plagued his mind ever since William accidentally entered the red portal due to Truck-Kun's interference in the Reincarnation Cycle.

"Sister, are you happy with your life right now?"
