A gigantic purple ball of light blocked the only path leading to the middle of the forest.
William had tried to find another route, but a strong barrier blocked their path. After trying repeatedly, they realized that the only way to progress was to face the purple ball blocking their path.
"Prepare for battle" William commanded, lifting his staff.
Immediately after his announcement, a notice appeared before his eyes.

< Ding! >
< Will you participate in the Steadiness Challenge? >
< Yes / No >
__
William took a deep breath before choosing Yes.
After choosing his answer, the giant purple ball in front of them widened. It swallowed William, Ella, Est, Ian, and Isaac along with the other goats. A few seconds later, they found themselves in a place that looked like an open plain.
Nothing could be seen for miles, except a vast meadow. However, instead of calming the children, it only makes them further increase their guard. As they scanned their surroundings, William noticed that the herd was feeling uneasy.
Suddenly, Ella broke away from the formation and attacked something. Since William was mounted on his back, he had no choice but to be dragged along with him.
“Meeeeh!” Ella bleated. “Meeeeeeee!”
"Is there something in front of us?" ask William.
“Meeeeh!” answer Ella. “Meeeeh!”
“Monster? And there is more than one of them?” William looked around anxiously, but he could not see anything.
“Meeeeeeee!” Ella stomped her front leg to the ground and gave a powerful kick behind her.
William observed the monster before him hissing furiously towards Ella after standing up.
The monster, which looked like a cross between a chameleon and a monitor lizard, was at least six meters long. His body was covered in dark green scales, and his blood-red eyes were currently staring at Ella with hatred. His webbed feet had four sharp claws and glittered in the sunlight like sharp blades.
The red-haired boy did not know what it was, so he immediately used his appraisal skill to gain a better understanding of the enemy he had seen for the first time in his life.

Ella dodged the attack easily. However, a six-meter-long wound, as deep as one meter, appeared on the ground where they were standing a few seconds ago. It showed William just how powerful the attack was and it made him extremely wary of the Gasmirage's battle power.
Seeing that he failed to kill his target, Gasmirage's furious tongue attacked the barrage of attacks quickly.
Even with Ella's agility, she had difficulty dodging consecutive tongue blows that seemed to have a life of its own.
"But behind!"
William hears Est's warning, and immediately turns to look at his back. There he saw four deadly tongues that were heading towards them.
“Ice Wall!”
Four layers of Ice Walls appear behind William's back as he attempts to protect himself and Ella from an unexpected sneak attack. The four tongues that were strong enough to crush the boulders smashed the three layers of Ice Wall before stopping at the fourth.
"Mama!"
“Meeeeh!”
Ella quickly takes the opportunity to escape and returns to Est's place and the others. Surprisingly, the monster did not make any further attacks on William and Ella as they retreated towards their group.
The injured Gasmirage flicked his tongue before using his Invisible ability. It was in no hurry to take revenge as its comrades slowly formed a tight siege to trap its prey.
Also, their leader was already heading towards them. Once it arrived, their enemy's chances of winning were small.
"What are we gonna do?" Est asked while vigilantly looking around them. “We can't fight what we can't see.”
"What kind of monster is that?" ask Isaac. “I've never heard or seen anything like this before.”
“Name Gasmirage. Threat Level C,” William explained. “The main weapon is its tongue that extends up to thirty meters. Ah, its claws also contain a poison that can paralyze its prey. Be sure to avoid it at all costs. ”
"Do you know their weaknesses?" ask Ian. “Also, how do you know about this creature?”
"My master is a walking monster encyclopedia," William lied with a flat face. “I heard him talking about this monster all the while ago. This monster thrived in the Eastern Plains of the Southern Continent. As for their weaknesses, they did not have them. ”
“Ensayklopedia Monster?” Est asked. "What's that?"
“... In short, he knows a lot about monsters,” William replied awkwardly.
"I understand." Est nodded his head. Although she felt William was not telling the truth, she knew that now was not the time to ask such a question. "Do you have a plan in mind?"
"There's a way, but ..." William looked at the three children reluctantly. “You may not like it.”
"What do you mean that we might not like it?" Ian asked in a defiant tone.
William did not answer Ian's question. Instead, he glanced at the grasslands around them. If possible, he did not want to use this ability because his Master had repeatedly warned him not to use it in public.

"Remember this, William," Celine said with a solemn expression. “No matter how good or noble your intentions are, human prejudice is something you should consider when using this power. Just use that as a last resort. ”

While he still had an internal debate over whether he should use his strength or not, the ground started to tremble. Giant giants that were at least forty meters tall appeared in their vision. It had red skin and one horn jutting out of its head. In his hand was a gigantic black steel hammer that was dark as night.
The most outstanding feature of this monster was its single, large, red-colored eyes that seemed to pierce through their souls.
The feathers on William's neck stood tall as he stared at the looming threat before him. The feeling the monster gave him was similar to the Strathmore Thunder Horned Wolf and Golden-Scaled Crocodile he had faced a few months ago.
It was a presence that William could never hope to defeat with his current level of strength.
