Chapter 15: Cheat Code

Fifteen minutes after they arrived in the basement, William and Ella found their first target. It was the only goblin who was making a strange dance on the bonfire.

For safety reasons, William got off Ella's back so the goat could fight without worrying about her safety.

“Eya.” (Mama Ella, use the Steel Armament.)

The goat took a fighting position and its horns and hooves glittered for a moment. The Steel Armament Skills had a duration of one hour. It was a very useful skill that ensured that Ella's main weapon would be as hard as steel.

“Ya!” (Use a Quick Attack!)

“Meeeeh!”

William watched as Ella's shadow blurred from where she stood. The next instant, the goblin that was dancing over the campfire let out a scream, as its body flew several meters due to the impact.

Ella immediately used her nails to step on the goblin's face repeatedly. William half covered his eyes at the brutal scene in front of him. He only stopped covering his eyes when he heard the sound of the notification ringing.

Ella came back triumphantly by his side. The goat licked the baby's cheek to reassure him that he was fine.

After killing two more goblins, Ella leveled up. Because Ella and William's skill levels are the same. Both are level up.

William went to Ella's stat page and opened the Horn Assault skill. Since there were additional skill points, he decided to place them in Horn Assault as well. As for the two stat points, he decided to place them all in Ella Agility.

His battle plan for Ella was simple. He wanted him to be as nimble as possible to attack and retreat. Since he had the Granting Skill and the Sheep-Hairy Wolf, he did not have to worry about adding more points to the strength for now.

William's work level had also increased so he had three stat points available. To be honest, she is very grateful to get extra skill points “one free” because of Gavin's blessing.

He did not think twice and gathered all of his skill points to Wolf in Sheep's Clothing giving a huge boost to Ella's stat points.

With each stat and extra skill points in hand, William's confidence also grew. He had seen how Ella fought against the goblins and he needed four strikes to kill her. The body of the goblin turned into particles of light and disappeared from the dungeon.

'No loot dropped?' William stared at the room where the Goblin died. Even his blood also disappeared as if it was sucked in by the dungeon floor.

Both of them continued to hunt goblins. Half an hour passed and they still had not found another goblin aside from the one they had fought before.

'I hope this dungeon has a map, ' William thought. 'Hard to explore blind– um?'

As William thought of the map, a floor layout appeared in front of him. Seventy percent of the map is still shrouded in darkness. Only the places they had explored before were visible.

'yeah! The saying 'ask and you will receive' is true!' William cried while looking at the map in front of him. 'Are there any other features I can use aside from the navigation system? Can I use a cheat code?'

“Ya!” (Then is Good 999999!)

William looked around waiting expectantly for a gold coin to appear in front of him. However, nothing happened. The baby curled his lips in disdain. William wore a "Never Surrender" expression on his face as he shouted cheat codes in the game he played on Earth.

“Eya.” (Debug1 Mode)

“Yes. Eyahs. Eyahs. Yeah!” (Up, Down, Up, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, A, B, A, B, B, Select, Start!)

“Eya.” (Equipment)

“Eya.” (Penyu)

“Eya.” (Offroad)

“Eya.” (Rose flower buds)

“Eya Yes.” (Excellent Strength)

“Eyaaaaaaaaaaa.” (Who is your father)

William gasped for breath as he finished chanting the cheat codes he was familiar with. A few minutes passed as an awkward silence enveloped the baby and the goat.

'Aiya~ so this game must be cleaned first before it can play the NG+ version? Goody. Challenge accepted!' William thought while gesturing for Mama Ella to allow him to ride on her back.

With the map hovering in front of him, William navigated the cave with ease. He accidentally finds a staircase leading down as he cleans up undiscovered places on his map.

Frankly, he was half tempted to proceed to the next floor, but William was a man who finished with heart. After a short struggle, he decided to fully map out the first floor before he proceeded to the second floor of the Goblin Crypt.

After an hour of walking around, they could finally clear seventy percent of the map. It was also at the time that William saw two red dots in the space in front of them.

'Finally, ' thought William. "Time for the second round."

“Ya!” (Mama, use Quick Attack!)

“Meee.”

“Eya.” (Sorry, Mama, I got carried away.)

Ella lay on the ground so William could get down. William crawled into a corner to hide. Ella immediately attacked the two goblins to engage them in battle. The baby was so focused on the scene in front of him, that he did not notice the red dot on the map slowly creeping behind him.

While William was watching the Angorian Goat fight with the two goblins, a wooden stick suddenly appeared in front of him, blocking the scene of the battle.

'Hmm? What's wrong with this staff?' thought William.

As if beckoned, the staff tapped on the map on its screen which showed a red dot slipping behind it.

William's body stiffened when he saw the red dot almost in place.

Panicking, he grabbed the wooden stick with both hands. He then slowly turned his head to look back. Standing four meters away from him, a goblin holding two wooden sticks in his hand growled furiously.

“Ya!” (Mama!)

Just as the goblin was about to attack William, a white mist passed through it and made the goblin fly in the opposite direction.

“Meeeeh!”

“Ya!” (Mama, let's back off!)

“Meeeeh!”

The Angorian goat unceremoniously bites the baby's clothes and flees. When taken to a safe place, William realizes that he is too confident in his abilities. He thought that with Ella's new abilities, and her map, she would be invincible.

'I'm too haughty, ' thought William. 'I forgot that this is a dungeon. Monsters can appear anywhere at any time. ”

Based on the games he played in the past, random encounters like this are very common if you walk into caves or in tall grasses. If it wasn't for the staff showing up to alert him that there was danger, William might have been squashed like a pancake.

When Ella finally lowered William to the ground, the baby was still deep in thought.

William closed his eyes immediately. He had a feeling that all he needed to do was call her and it would appear. In the darkness, something bright glittered in the distance. The baby immediately went to that place and found the thing he was looking for.

Floating above the three altars were gifts given to him by the three Gods before he went into the reincarnation cycle.

Although William had no idea what Chess and Lollipop pieces could do, he ignored them for now and directly touched the Core CPU.

When his hand touched the point. A dazzling light enveloped his sight.

The light dimmed and the light from the CPU Core dimmed. William seemed anxious as he used his appraisal skills to check the requirements to activate Gavin's reward to him.

'Ten level jobs?' William tilted his head. 'I'm currently in a second-rate job. I need eight more to open the system.'

The baby opened his eyes and breathed. He did have a system, but he was unable to open it for now.

'I have to activate the system no matter what!' William thought long and hard before making a decision.

“Eya.” (Mama Ella, let's go back now.)

“Meee!”

William activated the ring and returned to the living room. Although their adventure ended prematurely, William did not think that he had gained anything from his exploration. For one thing, he leveled up.

Second, he could better understand about the item Gavin had given him. What William did not know was that the three objects floating in his Sea of Consciousness were actually not simple objects, but rather Gods.

These gods can also be called "God's Essence", and they contain powers that can affect the laws of the world. Of course, these Gods also had certain restrictions.

As the two leave the room, they are found by William's grandfather, James.

"Oh?" James looked, "Where did you two go?"

“I don't really understand. But, make sure not to stray too far from home, okay?”

James watched in amusement as the goat and its baby left the house through the front door.

"That kid reminds me of my childhood" James murmured. “New one year and already looking for adventure.”
