Ella did not stop running and dodged. He had no free time to relax because the crocodile was eager to take William out first. Even the Millennial Beast had shot a high-powered water ray towards them.
Walls of Ice surrounded the riverbank as William did his best to grab their attention. Naturally, he did not just survive. He also attacked.

William was lucky the crocodiles were still slightly opened, Ice Magic froze them all and the adults smashed them to pieces. Although they were resistant to Physical Damage, it was very different when they were frozen. With a swing of the hammer, Barbatos smashed all these frozen crocodiles into pieces.
'Although they are less than a thousand, they are still difficult to kill,' William thought as Ella narrowly avoided another high-speed water ball. 'Where I'm almost finished. I myself cannot change the tide of battle.'
Most of the mana was used to cast the Ice Wall to reduce the dozens of concentrated attacks Ella could not avoid. He had already stopped chanting offensive spells and was focused on defending. His Mana Regeneration could not keep up with the high-intensity battle and he was almost exhausted.
The Thousand Year Old Beast, the Golden Scaled Crocodile, had already stepped on land. It raised its muzzle to roar and the crippling fear made William and Ella shudder.

'Damn it!' William cursed. 'When does a crocodile become a dragon?!'
What William did not know was that the Dark-Scaled Crocodile was a descendant of a lesser dragon. Although the Dragon Blood within their bodies was extremely thin, those who reached the rank of a Millennial Beast would be able to awaken the ancient blood that was lying dormant within their bodies.
The Golden Scales Crocodile at the Thousand Year Beast Stage can evolve into a Flood Dragon.
“Meeeeeh...” Ella thrashed as she narrowly avoided the water balls that passed through their side just a few inches.
"Mama Ella, let's back off" William ordered. “We can't hold any longer. If it's too long here we'll lose our lives.”
“Meeeeh!”
Ella agreed with William so she immediately ran towards the city of Lont. They've done their best. The adults also slowly retreated. Barbatos was thrown to the ground when she blocked the Golden Scales Crocodile attack aimed at William's back.
"Trs. Barbatos!” William shouts as he directs Ella to help the fallen blacksmith.
"I'm fine!" Barbatos whimpering. "Don't come near me or we'll both be their food.
William gritted his teeth as Ella stopped her steps. They could only watch as Barbatos carefully stood up from the ground while holding the hammer with trembling hands.
"Don't worry," Barbatos said with a solemn expression. “The only time I would die in this situation was when that Golden Scales Crocodile decided to fight me from close range. His weak long-range attack was not enough to keep me safe.”
"Trs. Barbatos, is there any hope of winning?” ask William. “If this continues, Lont City will be overrun.”
Barbatos did not answer. The number of witches within Lont City could be counted with two hands. Half of the witches were currently with James, while the other half was probably on the way.
"Mastering?" William was really surprised by the Barbatos revelation. “Teacher is currently conducting experiments right now. This is probably why he is unaware of our current dilemma. ”
Barbatus looked at William with understanding. 'So that's the reason why Celine hasn't come. We might still have a chance to turn things around!'
The Blacksmith Lont took out a silver spear from his storage ring and stabbed him on the ground.
"Iron Fort!" shout Barbatos.
Immediately, a ten-meter-high wall filled with sharp spikes spread out in front of him. It surrounded the West Gate of Lont and became a protective barrier.
“This barrier will not last long,” explains Barbatos. “William, please, Pull Celine from her lab. Tell him this is an emergency involving the life and death of Lont City. Please, quickly!”
William nodded his head and urged his Mama Ella to run as fast as possible. Their destination was the Dark Witch's house on the outskirts of Lont.
It took William five minutes to get home. He immediately went down and knocked on the door repeatedly to announce his arrival.
"! It's William!” shouting William. “It's an emergency! We need your help! Teacher!!, please! Help us!"
"What's with all that screaming?!" an angry voice answered. “I'm almost done with my experiment. Come back after an hour!”
"Teacher, an hour from now, Lont will be a ruin!" William shouted as he continued to knock on the door. “We need your help now! A swarm of Dark-Scaled Crocodiles attacked Lont. It was led by the Golden Scales Crocodile who could use the Dragon Fear!”
No answer came, but William did not stop knocking on the door. He continued peddling and shouting, while banging on the door with his fists.
The door suddenly opened and a disgruntled Celine appeared in front of William. Her hair was messy, and dark stains were visible on her dress. Obviously, he wasn't kidding when he said that he was still doing his experiments.
“If I knew you were lying, I would castrate you~” Celine said with a smile, but her eyes chanted murder.
William nodded his head like a chicken pecking at rice. “If I am joking, Master can make me as material material. I'm not going to resist even if you use me in your experiments!
“That's all you can do to interrupt my experiment,” Celine snorted. “So, how is the situation at the moment?”
“Teacher, Like This Happened–“
Before William could even begin his explanation, a powerful explosion reached their ears. It was followed by a powerful shockwave that pushed William against the walls of Celine's house.
Celine's hair danced as her gaze locked onto some giant snake heads in the distance, being conjured up by water magic.
“It seems you are not joking,” Celine said with a serious expression.
The Dark Witch turned into a streak of dark light and flew towards the sky where the Snake Head was.
William did his best to stand up despite his trembling legs.
“Meeeeh.”
"Thank you mama."
William leaned against Ella's body as she helped him up his back. Five minutes later, they returned to the West Gate to check on the current state of the battlefield.
