While the battle at the fort is ongoing, John and the Blitz have arrived in Fushia. After forcefully waving the Lont flag at the highest structure of the ruined city, he then began to search for survivors.
A few hours later, several men from Lont came and helped him in his efforts. Surprisingly, they found survivors among the ruins of Fushia. Some hid in their basements, while others buried the fallen citizens.
During half a day of searching, John and the others managed to save over a hundred people. These are the last remnants of Fushia. A city that used to house thousands of people now lives in ruins.
“Uncle John? Is that you?" A young man in his early twenties stepped forward.
“Cedric?” John looked at the young man in surprise. "Where's your dad? Is he safe too?”
Cedric was the son of the Mayor of Fushia. Since Fushia and Lont are basically neighbors, the two have a good relationship with each other. James and Cedric's father, Sebas, is a good friend.
Cedric cried when he remembered how his father had pushed him and his sister into the basement of their home. He ordered them to wait for his return. Cedric knew that his father did not want them dead, so he complied and took care of his sister as they hid in the basement waiting for her to return.
"I don't know if dad is dead or alive" Cedric said after regaining his composure. “Only my sister and I are left of our family.”
John sighed and hugged the young man. He then patted her on the back. “Your father is a brave man. He will live through in your heart and will never be forgotten.”
The survivors of Fushia saw this scene and cried. Some of them mourn the death of their loved ones. While the others looked at the ruins in a helpless tone. They all knew that it was impossible for them to rebuild their own city.
If Fushia gets back up, they need help in more ways than one.
It was then that a beautiful young girl, who seemed to be around fourteen years old, stood beside John and Cedric.
She is the only daughter of Sebas and Cedric's younger sister, Leah. His long midnight blue hair was draped behind his back and his clear blue eyes were staring at John in hope.
"Uncle John, what's going to happen to us?" ask Lea. "Did Uncle James send you?"
"Yes." Yeah." Johan nodded his head. “We came here to put Fushia under our protection.”
“Uncle, you mean, from today onwards, Fushia is now part of Lont?” ask Lea.
“Lea! Stop being disrespectful to Uncle John!” snapped Cedric. "Now is not the time to talk about these things!"
"You're wrong, brother," replied Leah. “There is no better time to discuss Fushia ownership than now. Since Uncle John was here, it meant that Lord Ainsworth had no intention of letting the other nobles claim them in Fushia. For me, this is a good thing. At least, Lord Ainsworth is a good person.”
John is struck by Leah's calm and rational explanation. She never thought that a fourteen year old girl would be able to analyze the current situation and give her views on the matter. Not only that, he could also tell John directly that he was aware of James' plans for expansion.
“A-is this true, Uncle John?” ask Cedric. “Do Mr Ainsworth intend to take over Fushia?”
"Yes" John answered honestly. “For details, it would be better if you two meet him. I'm sure he'll be very happy to know that you two are still alive. For now, let's wait for the train coming from Lont.”
“Why should we go?” ask Cedric. "Isn't Beast Tide over?"
“No.,” replied John. “Last time I saw Beast Tide, they gathered to attack Windermere Fortress. Until they were exterminated, there was nowhere safe in the Western Region except the city of Lont.
“Except Lont city?” ask Lea. “Did Lont also experience Beast Tide?”
"Yes." Yeah."
“How can you survive?”
“You will know when you get there. For now, I advise you all to rest. We can't stay here long.”

A messenger bird lands in Ainsworth Residence.
"Free, you're such a stubborn fool." James was sad when he read the letter. “You should have stayed with your son and daughter in the basement or your house.”.
Mordred who was sitting next to her father sighed. Sebas and he were also good friends and he was very fond of the Mayor's honest and straightforward attitude.
“Dad, can we let Cedric and Leah stay at the residence?” Mordred asked.
"Of course" James replied. “Leah and Cedric could be considered as my nephews. It's only natural we take care of them.”
"Thank you, Dad." Mordred nodded and left the room.

Two hours later, twenty trains departed from the city of Lont. William rides Ella's back while Team Alpha and his Team Omega guard the wagon on both sides. The journey between Lont and Fushia usually takes two hours by train.
When William and the others arrived in Fushia, the sun was already at its peak.
"William, over here." John waved and called out to the boy sitting on top of the Angorian Goat. William was the only boy in Lont to use a goat as his mount. Although no one questioned it, most of them found it funny.
"Uncle John," William greeted the older man with a smile. “I heard that Brother Cedric and Sister Leah were among the survivors. Where are they now?”
William has met Cedric and Leah many times in the past. Every year, there is a Harvest Festival celebrated in the Western Region.
James had dragged William and Matthew to this festival so they could mingle with his friends' daughters.
If it wasn't for William already having a fiancee, James would definitely be a matchmaker for him. Because William is off limits, Matthew becomes James' target. He even urges Sebas to match Leah to Matthew when his cousin is only twelve years old.
Of course, Sebas simply laughed at him and even rebuked James so that he would not interfere in the affairs of the children. For him, love is something that should not be forced. With that said, he also did not mind if Leah and Matthew became a couple.
As long as the feelings of the two of them were mutual then he would definitely give them their blessing.
"Cedric and Leah are in their house, or what's left of their house." James took a breath. “They try to save things they can save. It would be best if we leave them alone for now. ”
William nodded his head understanding. Cedric and Leah just lost their father. Their mother died after giving birth to Leah. In this world, only the two of them were left in their families.
An hour later, Cedric and Leah arrived at the Plaza of the city. Both of them had a sad expression of not seeing their father among the dead in their home. Cedric still clung to the little hope that their father survived.
Leah, on the other hand, had already accepted reality.
"Little William, you still look as stupid as ever" Leah said with a smile.
"Sister, you're still as pretty as you used to be" replied William.
“You're a little grown up. In the past, you would always retaliate when I called you stupid. ”
"Sister, a boy as handsome as I am is not that low."
Leah smiled wryly as she looked at the handsome boy sitting on top of the Angorian Goat. She likes William because she enjoys flirting. However, he felt that he currently looked more mature compared to the foolish brat who visited Fushia a year ago.
"Ella, I think you're okay?" Leah asked the Angorian goat with a smile.
“Meeeeh.”
"That sounds good."
Leah could not understand the language of goats. However, that did not stop him from trying to communicate with Ella.
Cedric, on the other hand, only gave William a brief nod before talking to John about "important things". He felt that there was a need to negotiate the ownership of Fushia because it was a city that had been governed by their families for many years.
William and Leah heard Cedric's words, because the older son did not try to hide them from them. John just smiled and kept nodding his head. He understood what Cedric was trying to say. However, understanding and agreeing are two different things.
As for who will rule Fushia in the future, James, Cedric, and Leah, need to have a proper discussion to smooth out the details of their cooperation.
