Best Defense

At the lakehouse.

...Mia Queen POV's....

I was sitting in the sun with my mom, Ben, Edward, and my two sisters-in-law in the backyard. Enjoying the warm morning sun sweep that feels soothing on my skin while pampering my lungs with clean and fresh air, and comforting my eyes with a calm lake view.

Then we were all shocked when suddenly my sister appeared out of nowhere, wearing a Victoria Secret red bikini set. She looks like a female underwear model with her slim body and sunglasses. The surgical scars on her abdomen and back did not detract from her beauty at all. And this makes me proud as his sister.

He was no longer young, he was already 34 years old, but his curves were exactly like teenagers. I myself do not understand why she can slim it even though she has given birth twice. If God is a woman, then the Panda deserves to play her.

He snatched the phone from my sister-in-law's hand, then galloped towards the lake. "Catch me if you can!" he said while running.

Then she started screaming with a laugh as my sister-in-law started chasing after her. Her hair was flying as her steps grew longer. I shook my head in disbelief at his childish behavior.

The panda kept running all the way to the wooden bridge that led to the lake while Sean was already a few meters behind him Oh, this is not good! He's squealing. Then just before Sean managed to grab his body, he threw the phone back and threw himself into the lake in the style of a professional swimmer.

"Frandah!" Sean growled in despair, looking at his phone lying on the ground. His hands rested on both sides of his waist, and the next few seconds he smiled as he shook his head.

For some people, Panda's attitude may seem disrespectful and outrageous, but sometimes there are jokes between couples that cannot be understood by others. And that's what's happening to them now.

The panda laughed as its head appeared on the surface of the lake. "You're slow, Warner!" he said he was slitting while sweeping his hair back.

Mom, Edward, and Sora laughed at Sean's surrender. Believe me, only Panda can make him look as stupid as he is today. Sean wouldn't dwell if my brother had shown himself, as fast as lightning he would have turned into a poor man like a buffalo plugged in his nose. Resignedly.

"He's healed." Suddenly my mother made a sound, her eyes looked at my brother with a happy look mixed with sadness. I don't like this, but I let my mom express her feelings.

"Yes, he's cured." muttered Edward approvingly.

I glanced at Sora who was sitting next to me, she was also looking towards Panda. I could catch her wet eyes, then I reprimanded her. "Sora, are you crying?"

He gasped at my head, and as he blinked, his tears trickled down. "Hm?"

"What's wrong?"

He smiled, returning his gaze to Panda. "I'm just glad to see him like that. You know, I've worked with him for a long time, but I've never seen him this happy as if his soul changed."

Wow, surprising! I didn't think Sora would care about Panda at all. "You've been watching him all this time?"

Sora furrowed her brows looking at me. "Of course!" sarcastic reply.

"Oh, okay."

Then my phone rang in my lap and I found Taka's name on the phone screen. I groaned in my heart, The phone call from Taka was the last thing I wanted today. But then I thought I should make sure of our relationship once again, so I galloped away from my family to answer her phone.

"Hey," Spontaneously I was closed in hearing her soft voice greet me.

"What else is it?" I snorted, painstakingly maintaining my voice so as not to shake.

"Jay," I snored slowly. "Have you considered my request?"

"That's impossible, Mia. My reputation would be ruined if I said anything about my divorce."

That bastard! All he thinks about is himself. "Then, what about me? Are you glad that people continue to corner me?" rough spray. "You know what I'm thinking now? I regret every second I've spent with a selfish man like you."

"Mia, please. Don't be like this. Another year. Wait for me another year and I'll tell the public about our relationship,"

"Jay," I took a trembling breath, holding all the turbulent emotions in my chest. "Why are you so selfish? Everything you've been talking about all this time is about you, do you realize that? What's the point of you calling me if you just want to say shit about your reputation, damn it! You treat me like shit!"

"Have you ever thought about how I feel? My family? People are bullying us, Jay! Even my brother who knows nothing is subject to ridicule. I don't know how to tell you, but if you can't do what I'm asking, don't ever call me again. Or I'll take it all apart myself!" cambangku.

Taka was silent for a few seconds and I could hear his rough breathing. Taka loves me, no doubt. But his cowardly attitude makes me sick. How can I live with someone who doesn't appreciate me? No way!

"Mia, can we meet for..."

"No," I'm quick. "Decide today as well. I'll give you three hours to consider my offer. If you can't do it, then there's no reason for us to be together." I said firmly while closing my eyes which began to feel hot.

"Mia, I told you I can't. Come, honey..." She sounded desperate, and I struggled with all my might not to cry at her begging voice. "I love you, Mia, but it's not possible to open up about our relationship right now."

I laughed at his words. "Jayantaka Gentala!" I said sharply to snap at him. "Your time is up. Good morning from Australia." I immediately turned off the phone, and in that second my tears also fell.

Then I gasped when I saw my brother standing looking at me from the side of the house. Both hands are folded in front of the chest. I hastily wiped my tears and galloped, and as I was about to pass by, he pulled me into his arms.

"Ed," I cried loudly in his chest, a very rare thing between us. Since I was a child I used to solve my own problems because all my family's attention was only on Panda. Not that I blame him. It's just that there are times when I need attention, too, and that's what I rarely get.

Edward let me cry for a few minutes until I calmed down and my crying slowly stopped. Then without saying anything, he lifted my body onto his shoulder and ran to take me to the lake. "Ed, stop! You're not going to.." I haven't had time to finish my words, our bodies have floated up and immediately disappeared in the water.

"Fvck you!" I cursed him as soon as I managed to get his head out of the water. My anger increased when I saw my phone whose screen began to twinkle like a disco lamp.

I wanted to issue more swearing and curses to Edward, but Panda had already propped up on my shoulders until I drowned again. I could hear their loud laughter coming from the water.

"Mia Queen! Forget about your problems and start having fun!" exciting Panda. As soon as I swam and wanted to pull her, she immediately walked away while challenging me. "What is your ability?" he said, then disappeared in the water while the others laughed at my annoyed expression.

Okay. I've drawn all the compliments I've made about Panda. He's not that good.

Not quite there, my misfortune increased when Ben suddenly jumped at me. Inevitably, as fast as lightning I swam dodging his attack. "This is truly the worst day in history!" grumbling.

"Oh, come on. It's the best day ever, Mia" Sean said from the top of the wooden bridge.

In the end I resignedly accepted whatever they did to me at the lake all morning until that afternoon. I take it as their way of showing affection, well, though that's not what I'm expecting as an expression of affection.

How else, it's the risk of being part of the Atmaja family. Like it or not, there is no way out. I still love them though, you know! Family is still number one!
