Ex Husband

...Sean Danial Warner POV's....

"Mia," called Franda, I don't know how many times she repeated it but Mia was still silent. No words came out of his mouth, as if he was suddenly mute and deaf.

I myself understand why Mia was holding on in her silence, it was certain that she was afraid that we would destroy the man because that was what I would be ashamed of if I found her. I won't let him roam free after disturbing my family's peace.

I glanced at Edward who was standing beside me. His face was flat staring at Mia, his hands folded in front of his chest, while his feet were tapping on the floor. I don't know what he's thinking right now, but maybe it's not that different from me. Thinking of a plan to find the man who made Mia pregnant.

I turned my head back, looking at Franda. His eyes are still sharp and cynical. And when I was about to make a sound, he spoke first. "Well, if you don't want us to know. Doesn't matter. But don't ever appear before me again for good, my business is done with you." Franda stood up, her hand grabbing the phone from the table next to the hospital bed.

Before actually coming out of Mia's treatment room, she stopped in front of us. Looking at Edward with a look I could hardly understand. "I'm sorry, Ed. From today she's just your sister, take good care of her." Franda patted Edward on the shoulder several times, then continued talking to me. "I want to go home, Sean." Franda immediately stepped out without waiting for me, but I knew that she was asking me to catch up with her.

I turned Edward momentarily implying an apology through my eyes. Edward smiled and nodded. "Go, I'll keep Mia here."

Without waiting for a long time, I rushed after Franda who had gone first. I still didn't expect him to get those bike words out to his sister. To be honest I felt a little disappointed with his attitude and hoped Franda could be wiser when dealing with Mia who was currently also being hit, but I am sure Franda has a reason to say that.

Half-running I walked towards the parking area and suddenly my steps were restrained when I saw Franda standing not far from me talking to someone. Her ex-husband.

My heart was beating fast and both of my hands were clenched staring at Nino who was trying to take Franda away from the parking area by pulling her hand. Franda refuses, but Nino continues to insist.

With a furious heart I walked up to them, And when I was right behind Nino, I immediately reached out to pull her shoulders. "Remove your hands from my wife" I said firmly while looking at her intently. Nino squealed then grinned. I was relieved that he had released Franda's hand from her grip.

Franda shook his head at me, I knew what he meant and I nodded to say nothing would happen to us. "Wait for me in the car." I told him.

Franda nodded then advanced towards me. Both of her hands raised grabbed my face and she kissed me on my lips long enough in front of her ex-husband. After our kiss came off, she trembled hugging me. "I miss you, Samson." whispered right in my ear. I laughed at her wild words inviting me at times like these.

After making sure Franda got into the car, I turned to Nino. "I don't think you understand your position now" I muttered.

Nino grunting. "I can't just walk away from him, man. You know, we had a kid from our old wedding." His hand was raised up to his nape. "So, I don't think I can really stay away from him." Now he smiles at me.

I smiled back, but tried to look sincere because what he said was true. "I knew. But Franda is my wife now. I'm sorry if I offended you, I think you should know your limits because Franda is so bothered by your attitude."

"Oh, huh?" He laughed softly. "Why don't I feel that way? I mean, come on. I'm sure you'll know that Franda still loves me." Now it was my turn to laugh at him.

"You're overconfident, sir." I snored as I slapped his arm, declaring that I wasn't seriously responding to his words. Intending to continue speaking, I also put on a serious face again. "Look, the only thing I want is for you to stay away from my wife. I don't really care if you communicate with him about Ben's problems, but I'd mind if you forced him like that."

No reply for a moment. Maybe he was thinking about my words, or maybe he was devising another strategy to shake me.

"Let's be manly. You don't deserve to be my rival because I became her husband six months ago." I tried pressing it. "I'm sick of all this, and I want it to be over soon."

"Can't do that, bro." I'm afraid. "I'm entitled to Franda now. What if I don't allow it?"

His eyes narrowed and his jaw hardened, then he exhaled a rough and desperate breath. "Yes, you're right" he said in the end. "But please consider it again. My mom loves Franda very much and she's very sick right now. You can accompany her if you doubt me."

I scratched my chin while considering whether I should soften or still maintain my stern demeanor. I don't like this situation, however, her mother is innocent and Franda also has a good relationship with both of Nino's parents. Maybe it wouldn't hurt if I accompanied Franda to the Nino family.

"All right, but only once. And I'll accompany him." I gave in, and he looked relieved.

"Thank you, man. One time is enough." He patted me on the shoulder with a smile and then passed away leaving me.

I stepped towards the car and immediately stepped inside as soon as I arrived. My eyes caught Franda casting her eyes out through the window by her side. Her hand drooped over her lap while her other hand rested on the side of the car window while massaging the base of her nose.

"Did you guys fight?" ask without looking at me.

I smiled and grabbed a bottle of mineral water from the front seat beside Ameer and immediately downed half of it.

"No. We talk like adults." I muttered.

Franda snorted softly, this time her gaze turned to me. "I don't believe you" he said cynically.

"Jeez, Franda," I sighed as I placed a bottle of mineral water on the door of the car next to me. "I'm not a kid fighting over toys with him."

Franda chuckled softly. "You're right, but that doesn't mean I just trust you. You still doubt me until now, Sean."

I snorted at him. "Hey, you know that's not true."

He just shrugged his shoulders to respond to me. Both of his eyes were looking intensely at me. The thin smile on her beautiful face made my bones suddenly turn like a sponge. Slowly I felt my head light, then as if all my anxiety, and my mind drifting somewhere.

I will never get used to the effects of his presence near me. Until whenever what I feel for her, the pounding of my heart, every inch of my heart, will always be hers.

"Hey." He pulled me with both hands into his arms. I took a deep breath, I seemed to have forgotten to hold my breath from earlier, then buried my face on his shoulder inhaling the fresh scent of jasmine emanating from his body.

I smiled down at him as he let go of his embrace. "I'm sorry I doubted you." Franda grabbed my hand and kissed me on the cheek once.

"No problem, Franda." I smiled looking at him. Actually I do not doubt it, I really believe Franda can take care of her. He won't be tempted by any man because he loves me, and I deserve to be proud and proud of that.

"Road, Ameer."
