The Best of Mia

...Sean Danial Warner POV's...

Can you imagine how great God is at managing human life? God always leads you to something good for you. He will never let you live in suffering alone. How many millions of people cry and beg him every day? He chose to listen to you first. You know why? Because God loves you. So, do not doubt his greatness. Ask earnestly, and you will get it.

The way God works is magical. His help comes just in time of need, never a second too late. Because God knows the limits of your abilities. And I was so lucky he answered my prayers about my wife who was suffering just as I was about to despair. Thanks, God.

My heart is cheering right now. Celebrating the victory over the return of Franda, the fragile woman I loved and loved so much. I don't know what I have to do to pay for this wonderful reality. Perhaps building a hundred houses of worship would not be enough, or feeding a million orphans would not be enough to express how grateful I am today.

I was still late with excitement in my heart while my eyes caught the sight of Franda chatting with Mom and Mia. He can finally trust himself and the people around him. Franda had just risen and lived as she had before her heart died.

My mouth curled up while she turned around and looked at me. Her soft, moist lips swept over me. "Hi, babe." I'm getting excited because Franda is teasing me by twisting her eyes.

I admire her incredible beauty. He's got smooth and charming cheekbones. Her beautiful wavy hair draped down to the shoulders and half of the back. I wanted to reach for that hair and feel how soft she was while I was rubbing my face against her neck. I wanted to smell her delicate scent from there, before on the other parts which were also very tempting.

While continuing to smile, I stepped closer to them and sat down beside Franda. Instantly he shamelessly wrapped his hands around my arms and kissed me on the cheek like a child seeking the attention of his father. Franda did not care about Mom or Mia who was mocking him.

"Mom, I think we're more suited to living with Ed. At least the ghosts there are quieter than the humans who fill this house." The three of us laughed at Mia who was grumbling.

I am so happy living in their midst. The new family that came to me to fill my dark and silent days, replaced it with a beauty I had never gotten before. Franda, Mom, Mia, Edward, and Ben make me realize how amazing it is to live with a family that loves you.

I did hate them when I learned the facts behind Mommy's death, but it didn't last long because I soon realized they were innocent. If anyone has to take responsibility, it's the guy who drove the truck and got my mommy killed.

Still in our living room on the forty-sixth floor of the Warner Enterprise building, I changed the subject and asked about the progress of the business development led by Mia, my sister-in-law. "Mia, how's your business? Is everything okay?" I asked while looking at Mia while my hand rubbed the back of Franda's hand.

"Everything was fine. Well, there's been a bit of difficulty in choosing the concept of promotion, but Dave and I have sorted it out" he said without hesitation.

I smiled in response to her answer. I've been sure Mia would do well since I first introduced her to Dave. His passion to start a business really cannot be left alone. "What are you gonna do next? Do you only sell coffee and cake pieces? Don't want to enliven the menu to attract more customers?"

Mia laughed while my brows fused looking like there was nothing wrong with my question. But he answered immediately.

"Sister-in-law, I just started two months ago and now you're asking me to spread my wings? That's right." he said pessimistically. And I don't like that. I want to see people who are near me always show confidence.

"Mia, I think you need to learn more. Don't waste time sitting at home while you can do something more useful." My eyes are looking at him seriously. "Look, I know you have more than this and you've shown me something amazing. You can keep yourself busy at the store while looking for something you might be able to do to grow your business. Don't be satisfied if you don't want others to underestimate you. Prove to anyone that your abilities are worth taking into account." I said again.

Mia seemed to think. I still looked at him while feeling Franda straighten up and chimed in with my words.

"Hm. You're right." he exclaimed with full spirit. "Mia, your chances are great to show Ed that he was wrong for doubting you all along." Mia stared in disbelief at Franda.

"No. Not at all. I just want to make sure you're working with someone who's experienced so I ask Sean to help you. Because I know, he won't let you do it alone. You still need a chaperone." Franda turned to me looking at me with a sweet smile on her lips.

"Isn't that right, honey?" kataya with flirtatious.

I smiled and nodded at him. "Yes." I said briefly as I looked at his face that never bored me.

It is not wrong to say that he is the most special gift that God has given me. Whatever he did always made me fall more in love with him although not infrequently I was upset by his fragile and insecure attitude. And this is the biggest challenge for me.

My eyes were still unable to turn away from Franda's face while my ears caught Mia's voice again. "Then, try to tell me something I might be able to do." I glanced at Mia and then looked back at her seriously.

"Maybe you can start by taking orders online. You know, we live in a technological age, selling conventionally is not very much in demand anymore. Small businesses are already shifting to the digital world."

"I don't think so. I guess I can attract customers by making the old-fashioned system my coffee-drinking character. Wouldn't they be more curious because my business is big enough to not have an online sales system and when they visit it, it turns out, I'm sure they'll come back because it's not just my unique store design but also my great coffee flavor."

I nodded a few times. I think the idea is pretty decent, but I'm still not sure the shop will survive. Slowly he will lose and sink given how great the influence of the technology world in this day and age.

"But you may have trouble proving your regional existence, Mia. The business competition is very tight now. Not to mention the condition of the people who are required to stay at home longer due to the pandemic. How are you gonna survive this situation?"

Mia smiled confidently, signaling she had the answer to make me shut up. His two fingers rang and his face was so excited as he started talking.

"Listen, sister-in-law... Each store has a different way of attracting customers, but most do the same thing as using a unique name, or design a place that-that's it. And I don't want to follow that kind of trend. You've seen my shop, haven't you?" I nodded, then went back to listening to his explanation.

"Kedaiku vintage themed. I chose 90s-style furniture, including ancient paintings that I got from exploring foreign marketplaces. I was even willing to wait for two months until all of that stuff landed in my hands and ended up hanging beautifully in my coffee shop. Even the glass I used was inspired by Gen X. So. where might a modern online sales system fit into my retro business." Mia looks very enthusiastic. My lips curled beautifully at the confidence I now like.

I was just about to open my mouth, but was immediately restrained because Mia spoke again. "Actually I could have combined the style of my old shop with the modern era, but that would only ruin my main goal, which was to interest people with my amazing tavern character and coffee flavor."

"I've been planning it all the way. That's why I was so enthusiastic and confident when you offered me help. My intention is not just to open a business as carelessly as most people. I want to do it earnestly, and even if I fail, at least I've tried well."

"My coffee shop is in the middle of the city. Its striking appearance is in stark contrast to the multi-storey buildings around it and of course it will attract the attention of anyone who sees it. Leave this to me, brother-in-law. You won't regret helping me. But instead, you would be so proud to have such a beautiful and talented sister-in-law like me" Mia scowled and flicked her hair in an excited spirit, and that was enough to make me believe in all of her words.

"For God's sake.. Are you really my sister?" I looked at Franda who suddenly made a sound. His eyes stared in amazement at Mia while clapping and shaking her hands several times. I could hardly help but laugh when I found her face stupefied.

And Mia, the girl arrogantly asked me. "How about, sister-in-law?"

I shrugged my shoulders. "I admit your concept is clear. There is no harm in trying, although I am not too sure because technology makes people lazy to move. But. yeah, I think it's worth a try." I gave up in the end. Give Mia a chance to prove her point and I hope the idea isn't wrong.
